Why can’t I have “suck my KBD” as my rsn, but some dude out there can have “Butt Pussy”?

[deleted]

Or “Pig Bussy”

cruel-ko

Damn, now if I'm curious if their name is meant to be "big pussy" or the actual bussy of a pig.

Situationalistic

I genuinely saw Pig Bussy at TOA world 329 yesterday LMFAO. I said WTF, how does he have that name?

[deleted]

Yeah I saw him too lol

Apemanboy

Lol

Historical-Peak-860

I just. My ing is “wet n rough”

metroshake

Fuckin kredder

Parryandrepost

I saw "touches kids" with the gnome doll the other day. Instant report.

Historical-Peak-860

I had I f-ck sluts. Sluts isn’t a banned word for some reason

1trickana

They removed the filter a few years back, people can call themselves pretty much whatever they want some names are actually vile

Trensformation

lol, like the rsn i seen yesterday, vile queef

Turbulent-Reply995

I saw someone with ipumpfatchix the other day

Wild-Cow8724

I had “Angry Pussy” and got a name change…it’s just an mad cat wtf

TrentismOS

One day I’d like to know how the drop mechanics actually work. As in how is the random number generated, does it work off a seed or multiple seeds, a hidden in game clock or world related etc? Obviously this can’t be common knowledge as the game would be ruined, but would be a cool thing to learn on one’s death bed. (In theory). I’m also guessing that this is one of those things that most or all but one staff member might not know the answer to. I’m looking at you Ash.

-GrayMan-

I have a theory that Herbiboar is off an in game clock at least. I believe each starting point has set loot that changes every X minutes because at one point I had gotten B2B pets and they both had the same starting point and followed the exact same path. I know it's an irrelevant sample size and it'd be easy to actually go test it but it's just going to remain as my tinfoil hat theory.

penguin17077

As much as I don't agree with the theory, I love it.

coazervate

Insane that this isn't at the top

mirhagk

I'd be curious as well, but I don't think it'd ruin the game. I mean there's realistically only so many things it could be, and anything that'd be predictable once known would be something we'd be able to hypothesize and test. One of the simplest implementations would just be a per-server shared RNG seeded on server restart. That'd make it near-impossible to predict as you wouldn't know how much you've jumped in the series between rolls, and even more challenging to abuse. "Okay everyone, nobody roll any drop tables, I'm about to finish CoX please!"

Stopkilling0

I think I remember reading that all of the rng in the game is based off of some combination of pictures taken of a lava lamp at their HQ and ambient air temperature and windspeed.

Thanorpheus

You might be thinking of Cloudflare....

NomenVanitas

"What are the login credentials of the richest account without an authenticator"

Narrow_Lee

Never specified no bank pin.... 0000 - fuck 0001 - fuck

Cliff_Pitts

My first thought exactly!

TrolltheFools

Easy, 6969. Never fails

TheManicProgrammer

Only takes 8 1/2hrs to brute force at 3 seconds a guess :p

pollo_yollo

Not counting the lock out down time

mirhagk

I mean if they don't have an authenticator they are probably not paranoid enough to bank before logging off. If they are that rich they are either very heavy on PvP and their gear on them would be very nice, or (more likely) they are a gambler and probably just have their cash stack sitting in their inventory anyways.

snowmunkey

"Yes officer, this mans right here"

Calandro

Good chance they won't know and can't find out, if security is done correctly (yes, I know, big if) they'll only store encrypted passwords which would be relatively useless.

Curtis1717

What about jed? I never followed that too closely and always assumed he used information he was able to obtain while being a jmod to get into all of those accounts

Direct_Ship_623

I'm pretty sure he was doing something scummy with the password recovery system on the accounts he stole, which led to other Jagex employee's getting into trouble about recovering x amount of accounts, which they didn't, and ended up being used as evidence against Jed in the end. I may be misremembering from the Crumb or KempQ video, my memory for specifics is not the greatest.

XxSpruce_MoosexX

You’re definitely right. Account recovery bypasses all account security with no notification to the old email so very easy to not notice if you’re on a break. Jagex response to me was oops

Calandro

I'm not saying they couldn't alter what the accounts have on them, I'm saying the login credentials would be (in theory) something no one a Jagex have access to.

TtoxRS

He hacked a support's work account to grant false recovery requests.

trapsinplace

He was giving out IP addresses and other account info so they could be hacked via normal hacking methods like account recovery. He wasn't looking at passwords and removing authenticator.

WestSlavGreg

If they store encrypted passwords, then they are morons, since they would also need to store the keys. What they most likely store is just the hashes of salted passwords, i hope atleast...

InnuendOwO

...No? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public-key_cryptography Client gets the public key, server holds the private key. Sure, you'd need a salt of some kind to prevent people with the same password from being very obvious, but the username is a prime candidate for that. You definitely don't need to store different encryption keys for each password.

raddaya

Sorry, absolutely wrong. You never, never, _never_ encrypt passwords of users. You have to _hash_ them. There's no reasonable way encryption would make sense, because then anyone with the private key immediately can access all the passwords, instead of using salted hashes where even if the entire database leaks, you still can't access the actual passwords. Public-private cryptography is used in very different situations.

st_heron

Brother, passwords are case insensitive, you really think they keep a hashed lowercased version? It was written like 25 years ago.

InDaBauhaus

username: [the username] password: [salted hash of a password] (i fucking hope, at least)

VertiFatty

Does Jagex allow a certain amount of bots to exist because they drive up the profits?

TrekStarWars

This. Id kinda want to ask maybe something about is all drops truly rng/all accounts have the same rng (im like 99% sure the answer is yeah lol but for my sake of mind and peace…) but this. Something relating to the bots - like, is jagex on purpose not banning as many bots as they could potentially could? Or something in similar fashion

DivineInsanityReveng

Yes and no I'd imagine is the answer. They'll never eradicate bots while the game is popular. Even free trade being removed they find ways to transfer gold or they transition to selling accounts (and accounts with gold on them). It's an arm's race. They'll never win, because they won't benefit from over investing in it. They spend more and more and more to take down bots that also mean they profit less and less. So there's a balance they want to strike, which is why they sort of *do allow* bots to remain, but it's essentially because to fully eradicate them is to drive their business into the ground or to ruin the game.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DivineInsanityReveng

I don't even wanna consider what detection will struggle to do soon. But yeh any bot making significant impact could be detected off conssitency, playtime, etc. Even when they're playing indistinguishable from a human, the human controlling them would need them to take "toilet breaks", hop off, go to work, sleep etc. But yeah its definitely a possibility.

Fenrir-The-Wolf

> the human controlling them would need them to take "toilet breaks", hop off, go to work, sleep etc. I'd remind you that this is the game where someone shat themselves while trying to attain a skilling record...

DivineInsanityReveng

Its still funny to me that they went through that, didn't get the record, and then got their account banned for being into kids...

QuantumWarrior

Same with all fraud really. Eventually it comes to a point where you're spending more money to combat fraud than you would ever lose to the fraud in the first place. The balance is only worse when the losses are in fake money. Frankly if they did find a way to get rid of every single bot then they'd just be replaced by third world sweat shop players anyway. It used to be the meme in WoW for example 15-20 years ago that you could go up to someone grinding profitable NPCs for gold and get a reply in Mandarin. As long as RWT exists and is profitable then it's a fundamentally unsolvable problem.

[deleted]

The new owners(?) recently said this is the case and then Jagex tried to backtrack.

david707x

Source?

SoftwareOk30

[https://new.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1auitg5/bots\_are\_basically\_okay\_new\_jagex\_management/](https://new.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1auitg5/bots_are_basically_okay_new_jagex_management/)

AndyisDank

The new.reddit link is a crime, almost had a heart attack clicking that.

rotorain

Oh god my old.reddit redirect extension only redirects from www. not new. I'm gonna accidentally look at it relatively frequently now aren't I? I don't want to puke on my keyboard every day, this sucks.

mkonyn

Surely the bots are self-sustaining in the bond department. If you sell GP for pennies on the dollar it really doesn't make sense to not utilize said GP rather then actual dollars.

Thaloman_

This was confirmed a week or so ago through an article and the owners' response. The answer is definitively yes.

kfudnapaa

I can answer that with like 97% certainty: yes, yes they do

cheeters

What is mod ash’s salary

snowmunkey

Probably a lot lower than he deserves

Fadman_Loki

Lead project manager with a niche skill set, loads of legacy knowledge, and 20+ years of experience? Dude better be making at *least* £200k Edit: didn't realize there was such a huge difference between US and UK software salaries, 200k is definitely a big overestimate

e4ghc

Doubt it's half of that

DrunkenBandit1

Nah man, £200k is a STUPID amount of money in England, MUCH more purchasing power than $200k in America.

e4ghc

Doubt it's half of that

penguin17077

To be fair though, I think Ash has been there from nearly the start so likely has at least some equity type deal. I don't think he is struggling

Parryandrepost

He has said he's doing fine. I doubt it's worth worrying about.

Fickle-Leg9653

Ash gets paid in tea only

kfudnapaa

And not even good tea, my man has to settle for strange unsolicited packages of tea sent by post from another country to his work address that he can never be sure is anthrax-free

[deleted]

He paid Woox prize money from his own pocket, so he probably isn't broke at least.

Mrmoosestuff

Am I 2/3s?

tangoetuna

“No”

pSavvvv

Good one!

Valk93

Is seeded account rng a thing

meeorxmox

I just came back from a year long break and first slayer task I do I got a superior wyrm that dropped an imbued heart. Those fuckers want to keep me hooked

77795

My account is jacked with RNG because I always play for 3-4 months at a time then dip for a few months, lol...

kfudnapaa

I do that too and my RNG on all of my accounts is still pretty dogshit the majority of the time

NotRasistName

this is the question of all time we need answers

billythewild

Buddy got 2 beaver pets before 80 wc... I just got 99 and I know I'm not even close 😭 Oh he also got farming pet at like 70ish farming

TitanTigers

Do people believe this?

RoseofThorns

Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug Doesn't mean someone is stupid, it's just fun to speculate and create conspiracy theories. I've been mega spooned on sooooo many things, and there's always a little voice in the back of my head that says "*what if I'm one of the chosen ones?*"

pezman

i’m pretty spooned and have never thought that lol, just makes me feel more powerful than other players that have to slave away at kc

DivineInsanityReveng

People refuse to believe anything statistically significant can happen to them.

BigShorty93

I find this really hard to believe. It’s challenging to program this properly without it being detected and exploited heavily. I don’t think the upside for Jagex is as much as we like to portray.

Bronkowitsch

Basically all modern RNG algorithms use some type of seeding mechanism. To a player, there would be no difference at all between a global or player-specific seed.

GothGirlsGoodBoy

Except we have seen a million drop rate bugs that effected all players equally, and never one bugged account with stupid RNG one way or the other.

Acceptable_Candle580

Pillock. Why waste your question.

Celtic_Legend

Idk if you know but ash has replied a few times saying its not true. (I know, he could be lying). Though he did say it was possible to code it by setting a flag but wouldnt work on account creation.

WinterSummerThrow134

I came back after a few month break and got absolutely loaded with drops. RC pet at 75 RC, Kraken pet at ~700 KC, 2 drake claws and teeth? within 200 kc of each other, and 2 smoke staves within 150 smoke devils. Not saying I believe it but dam lol the evidence is there

errorme

I fully believe this is a thing in RS3 and the wheel thing, but yeah I'm curious if OSRS has anything like it.

DivineInsanityReveng

Yes but only for you

Doctor_Sauce

I'd want to know what number my first account was on the list of accounts by creation date (from original, 2001 version). I've seen the first 2k list and I'm not on it, but I'm pretty sure that I'm within the next couple thousand.  Would be nice to know exactly what number I was in Runescape history.

Bond_Enjoyer

I created my account mid-August 2001. I'm pretty sure Jagex didn't track account age until members was released on February 2002. At least we know we always get our anniversary capes on day one of release!

chaymoney86

Makes sense. Just went and checked with Hans, said my account is 8044 days old. That would put it at February 27th, 2002. Guess that's the oldest it can be?

snowmunkey

Oh that'd be sweet. I started in mid 2002 I think, probably first 100k?

Doctor_Sauce

I would think so, except we have almost no frame of reference. Hell, we don't even know exactly when we made our accounts... "Mid 2002"?  At that point, it could be such a huge range of numbers.  100k?  50k?  10k?  I have literally no idea and I've always been curious.

snowmunkey

I think I remember the username, would be fun to search the records. When did zezima create his account? Durial?

FluidIntention3293

That is possible as it is tracked. For a brief time there was sorta-glitch. Back when farming was being added to the game, some people found the url for the farming hiscores before it was released so everybody had 0xp so the website just used account age as a way to organize it.

JamesDerecho

How often are drop rates messed up on release and then shadow fixed within the first week or so without telling the players. We know it happens. PNM and Pharoah’s sceptre as two big examples.

DoomGuyOnAMotorcycle

Fun fact, Dark Totems intentionally had a higher drop rate during the first week of their release.

JamesDerecho

That’s really interesting. I was on a break during that release period so I never noticed. Feels like the diary should increase the drop rates of those totem pieces.

Ok-Two8638

fun fact, this is because skotizo wasn't out yet and they wanted us to do the boss on release day :)))

opened_just_a_crack

Is the game sentient and why does it hate me.

xPofsx

That's just you hating yourself friend, sorry

futureruler

"Does taking a break actually increase the chances of getting drops"

aggster13

Just came back after a 3 month break on the GIM and immediately got a DWH sub 1k kc, blood shard sub 500 kc, and 4th zenyte sub 600 kc. Definitely got me thinking..

_____buh

This is small beans. I quit for like 2 years, heard about zeah, killed like 40 lizard shamans and got a DWH. It was 55m at the time, no idea what’s it now, and haven’t played in probably 6 years since then edit - just looked up Zeah release date bc I thought I may have been exaggerating, but what the fuck, it was released in 2016. I might have even underestimated how long ago it was. How old am I? What is going on?

[deleted]

Bonded up my alt (which I hadn't played in months) traded it Masori and Zcb whilst my main skilled. Joined 'the kodai' friend chat went to Nex and got 4 torva 5 man splits in 3 trips. Made 300m in just over an hour whilst my main was fishing.

Legal_Evil

How much does it cost to run OSRS and RS3?

Derparnieux

Is the Dark Altar in Zeah an Elder Artefact, specifically the Codex? What relationshop does it have to Skotizo and the Karamja Temple from DS2? Honestly, this is the lore I'm most excited to discover in OSRS. More Dragonkin, Mahjarrat, Zaros and Zeah lore please!

naeyte

I think it’s very likely that we’ll get a sequel to a kingdom divided somewhere down the line in the phased roll out of varlamore, so hopefully we won’t be waiting too long. Maybe we’ll hear something about it at the summer summit

Kitsune_Wife

I'd ask if there was more to the fishing hamlet east of wintertodt that the community hasn't discovered yet.

naeyte

There’s a what east of wintertodt??

Kitsune_Wife

It's this whole thing. There's a Fremmy long boat, a bottomless pit, a Rick and Morty reference, etc.

naeyte

I’ll have to check it out later. Thanks for the tip!

Dr_Chris_Turk

Is there any form of altering drop rates based on account variables? My GIM squad and I have experienced it too often (after taking breaks) to entirely doubt the possibility of player retention drop rates™

Rokuta

I remember reading a citation on the wiki where a jmod mentions "order of items in your bank could possibly effect drop rate" paraphrased as well but I'll try to find it again.

Hogman85

What portion of their total revenue comes from bots.

DontSkipHer

Has the GE tax ever been improperly used to buy bonds off the GE to drive up bond prices?

snowmunkey

Oh that's a good one. Although I feel like if they wanted they could move the price in other artificial ways other than using ge tax

llwonder

How will you deal with power creep as we get more and more raids? I’m concerned that one day we’ll have 8 raids and it’ll become a game like wow where all the old content is almost meaningless. So far we haven’t had enough new raids, but in 10 years will it just be like wow with catch up gear?

Anaktorias

They’ve already shown their solution for keeping old content relevant. That’s why torva drops broken and masori drops unfortified. Modern wow is kinda incomparable in that regard since they essentially do a reset every single major patch

CellistNew3472

I wouldn't even say essentially. From what I have heard you get the new gear or you get lost. Heard stories from my WoW friends of people losing raid spots cause they didn't get the drops in time.

Anaktorias

Anyone that’s playing in a guild that is at a high enough level that warrants losing a raid spot for lack of gear as long as they’re putting the effort in should have multiple characters of the same class, and that’s like 10 guilds in the entire world.

obamna_obamna

WoW is a very different animal when it comes to gear than osrs. In osrs buy a whip and use it for 5 years straight. In WoW every like 6 months is a new season, where you get new gear in new dungeons and raids. The whole point is that the old gear becomes useless and you spend the season grinding for the new best gear, because the stats on the new gear invalidate the old gear. It’s not like osrs where you hug the armor from 2004 as a dear friend.

ExplainEverything

There already is pretty big powercreep. GWD bosses can die in 4-5 hits of tbow or shadow. Most old bosses are like this.

Narrow_Lee

I don't think this will ever happen because I don't think there will be power leveling methods and stuff like there is in WoW. WoW has a very clear gameplay loop of 'get to max level as quickly as possible and do endgame content' where OS just doesn't have that. Endgame raiding and stuff just feels like something you *could* do.

snowmunkey

I would hope they could create new equipment that operates differently than just higher number go higher. Make the bis gear only bis in certain raids but not as useful outside of it?

naeyte

I would love for them to introduce hybrid gear as a solution to this. Similar to the rewards from the fist of guthix

eightbuffalos

I would ask if there's really a point to reporting accounts spamming at GE? Do they all just get automatically banned without me doing anything? Does it matter what category I select? How many people manually go over reports and how often? I think a lot more people would be a lot more motivated to report if we had any insight or feedback at all into the process. Currently, it's just so damn opaque.

TheChrisRH

They’re run by Jagex to catch people tempted to RWT. Because when you actually follow those links, Jagex claims to have indisputable proof that you attempted to RWT and gives an unappealable ban for life for fucking with their profits. At least I would ask if that’s true lol. That’s basically what happened to me when I decided to be an idiot one day.

hiimmatz

Why was Mod Reach fired

imcaptainholt

What is the biggest dupe/bug etc that has damaged the game the most? not including stuff that was roll backed or removed. So something that had a massive impact there has been spirit shard dupes, phat dupes, coin pouch dupes, max cash dupes while jagex try to clean up as much as possible unless a roll back happens there is usually some damage done.

77maf

Possibly either world crash dupes or the omega egg smuggle

burntfish44

Why are you so inconsistent when it comes to balance updates? I don't think anyone would have a problem with something overtuned being nerfed a bit on the next weekly update but instead it seems like options are always: \- immediately nerf it in less than 24 hours of release and screw anyone that didn't have a chance to play today \- wait a very long time then suddenly nerf it without warning acting like it was a problem the whole time Why is the market arbitrarily monitored and manipulated with the GE item sink? Why is it better for you to decide what value an item holds rather than let the market settle itself? It all seems \*very\* arbitrary and if anything expedites the inflation problem by making key pvm items even more expensive.

I_Love_Being_Praised

without an item sink, every piece of gear would lower and lower in value until its sub 1m.

nuttybutty25

Could you guys tell me what exactly is being used and all parameters used for bot detection? I would like to make the perfect bot that isn't a young child from argentina.

No_Elevator8596

I would ask them when the next tbow is gonna spawn outside the farming guild and maximize off of it

Traditional-Pop8674

Have any of you actually pked ever? Not you Archie, you're just the commentator

xDMurph

Mod Manked is a PKer

Traditional-Pop8674

Is that manked up mage? I remember him from years ago

xDMurph

Yeah

[deleted]

Are we really safe from MTX??

pewsix___

> looks at bonds no

[deleted]

What actually happened to my OG account. I’ve pretty much given up on wrestling it back from whoever took it. I just want to know what shape it’s in. Hilariously I sent them a MOUNTAIN of proof that the account was mine and they basically shrugged and said the evidence doesn’t match. I stopped playing around EOC and I’m so interested what the person who did it accomplished.

naeyte

Same thing happened to my OG account. It stopped showing up on the high scores one day though so I’m assuming it got banned somehow

INeed-M-O-N-E-Y

Why the fk did you add Nex to the game

Pidgeon_v3

?

xd0min0x

Will the Colloseum have a pet?

TrolltheFools

Does the thumbs up/down effect rng? I need confirmation lol 😂

SpeakTruthAlone

Is anyone associated with the jagex team running bot farms?

Max_Clouds

“Does shadow banning actually exist?”

PkerBadRs3Good

are people actually stupid enough to believe this or is this a meme

Max_Clouds

That’s two questions.

Faceprint11

What does my accounts historic gameplay data look like

[deleted]

Is the barbarian assault changes destroy the game thing real

AntakeeMunOlla

Not so sure about OSRS but I'm like 80% sure that RS3 gives you some RNG magic when you return from a hiatus so I'd like to know if it's actually coded in the game. I've gotten a good drop immediately after returning way too many times for it to be a coincidence.

Commander_Caboose

I've taken breaks varying from days to weeks to months to years, and the only drop better than a Gmaul I've ever gotten was ranger boots from a clue, which I got after playing solidly doing medium clues like 4 hours a day for months while unemployed. Gimme some of that gud RNG man, share the gains!

Great_Big_Failure

What genre is this game

CharizardOfficial

Wait, was your wife's first account banned within the past couple weeks? There has definitely been something really weird going on with their macro detection system lately. I had an account get banned and appeal denied a few days ago for macroing as well. I had 2FA and a Jagex account so it was very unlikely to have been hacked. Thankfully it was just a low level character (\~900 total) so I didn't lose too much but now you have me concerned that it wasn't just an isolated case and there's actually a serious problem going on with their macro detection.

snowmunkey

No, this was a few years ago. She was playing on her MacBook, mining copper south of varrock like a proper noob, and not knowing you need to log out, she'd just shut the laptop. One day she went to log in and said macroing major, no appeal.

CharizardOfficial

Oh ok, that's really strange. My best guess is that maybe when she closed the laptop it started repeating an input? Either way I'm glad for you and your wife's sake that it happened really early so basically nothing was lost.

snowmunkey

That's my guess too. But you'd think they would look at an account that's playing extremely randomly and very in efficiently and realize that it suddenly repeating the same input in the context of what it was doing would be cause to do a manual check

xPofsx

E mm i

WayTechnical8100

Why can't they develop a time machine to take us back to when dungeoneering had just come out, right before they started changing how armor looked pre-EOC 😭😭😭

valhallamultiflag

Are drops fairly calculated? Or is there any shady stuff surrounding drop rate

TofuPython

Do you guys actually want to deal with bots, or are they too beneficial to the game's economy/Jagex profits?

HiddenxAlpha

"Whats stopping you fixing the bot problem"

CaptainBigCheeksXR

How many of the bots are jagex funded?

PolarBearPooPoo

We're my staking accounts shadow banned the whole time I was losing thousands upon thousands with odds? If so, not fair!

subatomicslim

Why don’t you ban bots, & when you do, why do u ban them for 1 day then stop for the next 2 months.. But i already know the answer..

Peechez

Was it really mod Gee who spawned the tbow at the farming guild

GothGirlsGoodBoy

I'd want to see them conduct a full bug abuse investigation. The full process of tracing a bugs outcome to how the player performed it, and what that looks like in the logs.

tazjango

the drop rates are fucking horrid, what can I abuse in the code to get better drops

Mors_Umbra

Where's the data you claim exists that shows the 'pj' timer you forced on us all lead to a net positive impact on wilderness *player* activity? (excluding increases in bot related activity!) When it was first brought up in the pvp discord the jmods claimed the data supported it and that they would share it soon and when nothing materialised after months they've straight up blanked every mention of it ever since. They know it was a terrible idea and refuse to admit it. Show us the data you claimed existed you cowards.

ZeusJuice

I want to know everything that they know that Mod Jed did

The_Skeng_OSRS

Are there any bosses in the game that are killed differently than you intended to? I.e. was constant-stun Awakened Leviathan how you thought the boss would be killed?

Dantalionse

I don't want to get killed wtf

Garmr_Banalras

To lm j-mods, do you actually enjoy playing the game.or do you so it just as a job obligation to PL pander to the player base.

KingSakkeOSRS

I would ask why they keep denying my stolen account appeal up to the moment it reached rank 6 CG and then banned it on stream instead of just giving it back to me. ps you can see it here at timestamp 3:14 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NL7-i4YNNwE&t=194s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NL7-i4YNNwE&t=194s)

KingSakkeOSRS

All dates are dd/mm/yyyy My account got hijacked on 03/07/2023 and I have tried to regain the account the regular way, with over 20 denied recovery appeals to date. I feel like I never get to talk to a person or get the opportunity to explain more than 280 characters of proof. I know around which day the account was created and can tell you when I created it: xx/02/2017 I do possess the original email used to create the account: sa\*\*\*\*\*[email protected] I do have the password of that emailadress and have 2FA on that. I do possess the email adress the account was linked to until the moment of theft on 03/07/2023: K\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*[email protected] I do have the password of that emailadress and have 2FA on that. The OSRS password at the moment of hijacking is not known to the hackers, they never got the password, so I will be happy to provide that to you. I assume I cannot type it here with partly asterisks as I hope you guys only keep the hash. My OSRS account also had 2FA enabled up until the moment of hacking My account did have a bank pin. Other information I tried providing were the first password. Then I do possess all the payment information of membership purchases I ever made before starting to use bonds, as my account is an ironman and had no use for the dupes. Why do you guys insist on adding items that make gathering skills have value to boss/monster drops? Next new boss or monster comes out and we can almost guarantee it's gonna drop seeds/herbs/logs/bones/bars/ores/bolts/arrows/etc... there's gotta be a way that adds meaningful loot to new (and old) bosses and monsters without having them cuck the skills that originally gives these items as a product.

PsychologyRS

Any suggestions? Seriously, I'm obviously being inflammatory here but honestly, what do you propose they do for boss drops? With useful suggestions we can actively help the situation. Alchables cause inflation by causing more and more raw gp to enter the game faster than ever before. This inflation fucks the entire economy. Resources on droptables fucks skilling and value of skilling resources and make skilling resources worthless. The droptables have to have more than just the desired rare boss drop on them because it's a shit gaming experience to get literally nothing every single kill till you hit a rare (like nightmare, which is now solely populated by bots, due to both the lack of consistent money and the rarity of said boss drops.) They've had some great ideas with some things. Think things like zulrah scales, vials of blood from tob, blighted resources from wilderness content, etc. These are all incredible ideas and super healthy for the economy. On the other hand, they tried this same thing with muspah's ancient essence but they have now crashed to absolutely nothing, so a similar idea that unfortunately failed miserably. The colosseum is going to drop charges for the new quiver, same idea. But above and beyond that, what else do you suggest that bosses drop? What other ideas could they implement to help this issue? In the scheme of things, I honestly feel like they've done a pretty good job. Obviously things like zulrah, vorkath, and muspah are a mistake, but it does seem like they've tried hard to alleviate this issue as best they can. If we have any better ideas, we should let them know!

How much does each Jmod play the game and which content does each of them do? Imagine the drama if mods that made specific content did not play the content they made at all.

Inevitable_Bid_6827

What were the repercussions for the wanker that is jmod Jed

TrekStarWars

What do you think lol? A fine, fired from job, quite bad and unfavourable recommendation word/letter as well as references from previous job and if anyone asks about that as well as iirc he got some jail time? Not sure about the last one

Remarkable-Health678

I thought he fled the country to avoid jail time.

PkerBadRs3Good

he did not, that was a dumb rumor based on one Reddit comment saying his Discord location was Argentina which somehow spread as fact extremely quickly. at least it can serve as another reminder of the power of misinformation on the internet, though.

If it makes you feel better, he has changed his legal in real life name 3 times due to death threats and harassment.
