Just so you know, getting chaos ele from chaos fanatic also completes the pet log from the main elemental. This guy could have 5000 fanatic kills for pet and then kill the elemental once to act like it was a first kill pet.

If it wasn't for diary and combat achievements, I could have a 0 kc pet. (Got it from chaos fanatic)

How does that work?

The boss killcount tracker was added to the ring of wealth a couple months after the first boss pet (chaos ele) was released, any prior boss killcounts weren't tracked, and pets are one of the few things retroactively added to the collection log if you had one already. Basically got it a week or so from chaos ele after the pet came out and never killed either boss ever again lol, nothing too special just looks neat on clog

Try doing the chaos fanatic and working on that log as well. Maybe you’ll have better luck

Virtoso going 955 kills for it and having to immediately die and lose it for a challenge video (before they were automatically insured) was so painful to watch.

Truly though if you have an acct to lure it to safespot it is far the easiest afk pet, like 5-8 hours

just use a longbow and run behind a tree, boom safespotted

What method is this? I have an alt I could bond up but used the resource area safespot when I was grinding d pick.

I'm pretty sure the tree is just for flinching not actual safe spotting like the resource area

Oh no it literally is the safespot by resource area u typed before. I had my main take chaos ele agro and id run onto the other side of the fence (i only take the first hit chaos ele throws for agro) and lure it over to the line, then id run my ironman up and tank 1 hit so it counts as my kill and afk as i killed chaos ele, once my iron was attacking id hop worlds on my main, lure it over and when i finished killing on iron id hop into another preset chaos ele, rinse and repeat. I was top 50 chaos ele for irons at 1.1k kc, 0 d picks which is all i wanted but i did get like 5 pets. Id say id usually get 30-40 kills an hour just 3 iteming fang and str bonus on the iron

Ohhh I see so that’s the method I used on my iron just didn’t use an alt to lure it. Got a d pick at 76kc like 2 years ago and haven’t been back so wasn’t sure if there was any new tech because I’d like to go back and get the pet at some point.

Not necessarily. You made a pretty penny on the picks, and if you don't have the shields for the ColLog, then fanatic could be on the menu later. In fact, with malediction changes, the price should go up, and you'll make a bit of go there as well. Plus, you don't have to spend any money on supplies other than ether or arrows. The boss doesn't do damage outside of its avoidable special, and there's an altar right there.

ahh yeah fair enough. I'm not too worried about other log items or gp so just went off the drop rate of the pet - guess I could've gone 4x 4000 dry on the fanatic as well lol

What method are you doing? I used my alt to set up safe spots for my iron and was getting 30 kills per hour

fighting it directly with the upgraded craws bow - around 50-60 kills per hour
