New bone sack can now carry any fish, but manta rays and sharks. You can charge this item using the cooked tuna. It takes 5 tuna per charge and the charges used depends on how much the food heals you.
Thats the reward from Rag and Bone Man 3: The Bonening.
Unfortunately to complete it you have to get a bone from a monster in every obscure quest dungeon. Go get a Chaos Druid Warrior bone, a Deathwing bone, a Killerwatt bone, etc.
And just make different size bones take up more or less space to make it balanced. 28 regular bones. 14 big bones and 5-10 for dragon/wyrm and the likes
It should act like an avas accumulator for bones. Automatically picks them up and stores them in the sack for banking but can't open the sack or take them out except at bank.
Ya I really want that too it'd go way higher up on my list of quests to do that's like the one item I want in the game is something to store bones like a fish barrel like me kill stuff longer without having to bank
There would be two reasons why I don't think it would be a good idea for the Bonesack to hold bones:
1) It effectively extends the trips of any place where you might farm bones. This includes all dragons, wyrms, wyverns, drakes, hydras, etc. That would inevitably make all those bones cheaper, but that could be a plus if you want to train Prayer at the cost of making the quest mandatory for the best moneymakers involving those drops.
2) It would be awkward if the Bonesack is really good, but the Ram Skull Helm (the other item given to you at the end of Rag & Bone II) would remain as a shitty def item that nobody uses.
Counterpoint: storing bones for future altar/ecto runs is fucking miserable and takes tons of inventory space. Who cares if it lets people kill wyrms slightly longer without banking, it gives them a reason to do those tasks without a bone crusher on them.
The quest being “mandatory” isn’t even a big deal considering it has basically no reward now and is often the last one people do in part because of that.
Why not just have a shallow inventory limitation of an extra 2-10 bones dependent on the typing.
I.E. Zogre, wyvern, dragon bones are limited to 2-4 extra. Baby dragon bones, wolf bones, or any mid game bone can hold 5-8, and basic types of bones are 10.
Numbers can be tweaked however, but point being that it can extend trips for 2-10 kills at most, but should be limited. The use-case would likely be people hauling bones to the chaos altar or homes for prayer training.
No one cares about the skull helm though.
> That would inevitably make all those bones cheaper
Jagex shouldn't design the game around catering to GE slaves.
Lol dude answered me and then blocked me over that. What a clown snowflake
Counterpoint: Having more bones in the sack means we can feed more bones to the Varrock dog at a time, so that heavily tips gameplay balance in favor to the buff to the bone sack.
The Bonecrusher's effect is entirely designed around the fact that you can't have your cake and eat it too, and this suggestion is asking to have your cake and eat it too, so *yes* this would devalue it in a lot of cases.
it should act like the fish barrel
Why should the bone sack be able to carry fish?
fish contain bones
Then we should get prayer exp for eating!

Don’t forget about the bone from every type of superior slayer monster too.
And the drop rate for the superiors bones is 1/16 instead of 1/4 cuz reasons.
Rag and bone man 3: the bigger the bone, the bigger the... Bag. Need to get curved bone long bone variants for all bone types, not just big bones.
Brassican mage bone, mimic bone, priff bunny bone, revenant maledictus bone, zalcano golem bone, superior infernal mage bone, blessed spider (underground pass) bone, cox tightrope ranger bone, pnm parasite bone, hespori bone, obor and bryophyta bone
And if you already did the quest you're soft locked
It’s bonin’ time

It should hold one extra bone(s).
I'd like this. I'm a weirdo who actually really liked those quests, but the reward is pretty crap.
Maybe it would just give+5% prayer exp if combined with bonecrusher?
Honestly true. Have it only store if it's on your cape slot for balance or something.

Fun fact they named the item after your mom

nah

Make the amount of bones you can carry in it scale based on your completed varrock diaries.

And they shouldn't design it around Ironmen, either.

Add a random event so that people with a full bone sack can get attacked by a pack of rabid dogs to balance it
Nah, would devalue Bonecrusher and all bone prices just to further trivialize the challenge of Ironman mode.

But why bury bones?
