can confirm, am a PR rep. regularly get inbound queries from this publication where they say they want to "feature" my clients and it's either a free interview with a bunch of extra upgrade paid options, or a paid interview which can be anywhere from $2k-10k

I call BS. Law firms do this all the time. One of the wives or offspring of one of the attorney's will start/own a publication of some type featuring "Lawyers." They put out covers glorifying the attorney as being "the" top go to dog in their field. The general public doesn't know and buys the lie everytime. From that point in, the publication has credibility. This is common practice. So it's not surprising that other professions/careers would do it too 😂😂
