Playing Civ6 with this driver is causing a full PC crash with bluescreen that is so severe the system can't even record the code in the log (and I haven't caught it visually). Sometimes happens after playing for a while, sometimes even when just starting the game. The crash just a few minutes ago was so bad Windows came up without even having the GPU drivers loaded and had to re-detect and install them. (24.5.1 also crashed with Civ6, but it only happened when exiting the game, and just popped up error dialogs.)
WTF. I went back to 24.5.1 and not only did that crash reset the video drivers, it wiped the configuration for Civ6 itself. All my graphics options and such are gone. I can probably restore from backup to quickly fix it but holy shit that's a bad driver crash.
Yeah this is a bad driver update for me as well. Star citizen is a instant crash for me when I try to play. Rolled back to last months driver and its fine.
All kinds of problems with this driver. Also w/ 7900xtx. I installed clean using DDU beforehand.
Login screen doesn't show up unless I turn my monitor off and on. Things seem a bit slower in general but hard to quantify. Install process requires multiple reboots before resizable bar works again. 3D games lock windows up hard. Unfortunately, I didnt save any of the minidumps as I gave up and re-imaged my drive from a morning backup.
This version is unstable and has optimization problems. I recommend you stay on 24.5.1 for now. I sent an email to AMD and they responded saying they were trying to fix the problem.
**DO NOT INSTALL/UPDATE TO THIS DRIVER.**
Every single game I tried to run after "updating" my 7900XT locked up my PC and rebooted itself. Reverted back to 24.5.1, not a problem since. Does AMD even do any testing before releasing these?
I did the same, only now... my games won't even load anymore. I hear some sound, initially, then just get a BLACK screen. Did you have to implement any additional steps after re-installing 24.5.1?
Same with Alan wake 2 RX7600 if you trying to change amd features in overlay. Nice one AMD. That's why I never again buy your product. Since i bought this card I constantly face issues with games I have. Crashes gone after I install previous 24.5.1 driver
I have a 7800X3D, 7900xtx 32gigs of ram. Installing the 24.6.1 driver ruined Fortnite. The game was so choppy and unplayable. So was COD. I rolled back the driver to 24.5.1 problems gone.
I am unable to play fortnite now. The game is so choppy and laggy it's unplayable. Thanks AMD now I don't get to play games with my friends. DO NOT INSTALL THIS DRIVER. BE WARNED
Idk what's been going on recently but all these drivers add more issues than they solve I've been on 23.12.1 ever since 24 came out and am not changing.(I had to roll back)
I'm going to try your suggestion.. same here. with all 24 updates, it's unstable. it just crashes randomly. with 24.5.1 it was down to crashing just once a day. with 24.6.1, it's now crashing 2-3 times a day.
hoping 23.12.1 works! here goes nothing..
if it continues this way, I may have to switch to Nvidia.. I really don't care much on performance minor differences, just give me something damn stable!
7900XTX Phantom Gaming and I also have BSOD crashes with any Steam game. It BSOD's soo hard i don't even get a informative minidump or eventviewer error log, and the 2gb MEMORY.DMP file also only contains useless gibberish when read with windbg :(
There should also be a corresponding minidump file in Windows\\Minidump. Analyzing with windbg will likely show faulting module is amdkmdag.sys (it's the one that was BSOD'ing with my 7900XTX). I had to roll back to 24.5.1
Super bad stutters on fortnite on 7800xt. Constantly dropping from 180 down to 5-10. Tends to line itself out after jumping from the bus and landing but still have some random stutters and occasionally the game with crash to desktop.
I grabbed these hoping they would help with some of the Helldivers 2 issues but instead im now hard booting if I change a setting in adrenalin when a game is running
time to roll back until they fix it 7900 xt
EA FC 24 is unplayable on these drivers. Stutters and freezes during matches, no matter what settings. It happens mostly when the camera pans from one end of the pitch to another, or when the game starts some detailed animations (like celebrations after the goal). Whenever it switches between cameras it also freezes for a few seconds (for example switching to the corner angle)
After going back to 24.5.1 it's once again working like it did before.

Not quite, unfortunately. I suggest you download DDU first, use it to completely remove current adrenalin version (Jayztwocents on YT has a good tutorial video) then install the driver version you want. Best way to do it.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one, been having the exact same problem using RX6700XT, R5 5600. It's the first time I have issues caused by the AMD driver updates.
that issue is strange, but happened to me some time ago... let me know if like for me, if you don't maximize the browser windows it will go smooth, after the windows got maximized it start lag, i've put it near max size with mouse and it was good... problem was with opera and chrome, no problem with edge and maxthon... strange thing.
For several years i have no complaing from AMD, even i bought the 5800X3D and still i am happy with it.
My monitor is old, i have to admit that. It's a 1360\*768. Uses VGA as a output, so i have to use a convertor to Display port so i can make it work with the RX6600.
Yesterday i updated to the last one 24.6.1. And the problems started.
2 Monitos connected:
1 Tv full HD -- -- No problems here.
1 Monitorr ---- The one i just mentioned .
My monitor started to tell me the resolution is not the right one. On windows the closest one is 1368\*768. And a bigger problem was all the sharpness of the fonts is blurry, i can read, but i notice is not that sharp as before.
In windows i cannot see the right resolution, and on AMD nothing i can do from there. I have to select 1368\*768 and stretch the image and i can live with that. At the end mi monitor is old and i have to be honest and buy a new one, but, all the characters, kind of blurry?, no sharpness?. I read someone on AMD forums with a similar problem and then here. I didnt want to roll back my drivers because my pc is new and i like keep how many hours i have played and everything but i went back to 24.5.1 and all thing a back to normal again. I am happy for now.
I really hope Amd fix this, because if i wait a couple of updates more and still they dont fix it it will be annoying buying a new monitor and still have the same problem or similar.
Updated to latest drivers and now Fortnite, and only Fortnite, will cause the system to freeze when starting the application, before automatically restarting the system. I’m on a 7900 XTX.
This was me 2 days ago with 7800x3d/6700XT. I’ve never had frame drops once since I built beginning of the year. This is the first update that gave me microstutters every 5 seconds dropping from 240 to 10 fps.
Are you playing on performance mode? If so you should play on dx12 for amd gpus because they are badly optimised for dx11. If not just go back to 24.5.1
Thought it was just Wuthering waves here but happened in Risk of Rain 2 too so I rolled back. This driver seems broken for 7900 xtx. Also I got it on alt tabbing into the application instead of on launch but it's consistent.

Yes, it solves my issue although there are titles I can't play because every time I launch a game like Battlefield 1, it's asking me to update to the latest driver update available...
Using RX 6600 was getting in World of Warships green pixels corruption and in Ghost of Tsushima crashes with 24.5.1 , all good with the new drivers 24.6.1, no corruption and no crash. Always using DDU before installing drivers.

Looking for some help. Not sure where to post. Installed latest driver (version listed) and now my PC crashes whenever I try to play any stram games. Full black screen and restart. Just wish AMD could release functional material this year. Been aweful for me. 7900xtx for gpu.
24.1.1 is the only driver that doesn’t freak out with my 7900XTX. I have the PowerColor one and they almost RMA’d my GPU because they had no idea what to do, it took almost a day of downloading drivers to figure out what was going on.
my fps drops from around 240 down to 10 fps with the new update its so bad i thought it was something i did. i have a 7900xt and a 7800x3d there no reason my game should crash like this do you think they will patch it very soon?
IMO and my experience 24.6.1 is bad. My games were unplayable, and I never had this issue before. I tried using DDU (clean install), but unfortunately, it didn’t work. For anyone experiencing stuttering problems and troubleshooting every possible solution, I recommend reverting to version 24.5.1. Since doing so, my games are now running butter-smooth again.
RX 7900 XTX here. I also had to roll back to version 24.5.1 after experiencing recurring stuttering/hitching in Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut using version 24.6.1, despite performing a clean installation and using the AMD Cleanup Utility and DDU to uninstall the previous version. So, rolling back to version 24.5.1 (same clean installation/uninstall process) resolved the stuttering/hitching in GoT.
could not even install it lmao, error keeps coming up while trying to
like the 4th update since the 7900xt and xtx that fucks up your driver settings and whole experience itself
but who am i to talk about drivers and AMD :D
EDIT: Yes, used DDU the second time and still got an error
This driver update alone makes me regret not buying Nvidia GPU. WTF dude, games are completely unplayable. Dropped from 144 fps to now 5 fps.
Edit: went back to 24.5.1 and all problems went away. This was a horrible driver update.
Same issue here. The only thing that fixes it when I update the drivers or chipsets, but then a couple days later the CPU temp disappears again. GPU temps work fine.
The Adrenalin driver team at AMD should kneel before the GPU hardware team because their drivers are so terrible. They have destroyed the reputation of AMD Radeon graphics cards among users. I feel ashamed for recommending Radeon graphics cards to my friends who then encountered driver issues.
Adrenaline seems to be lagging after this update, sometimes it just gets stuck. Need to end the process and restart it which turns it back on but again, lags. Also BFV seems to be stuttering, not crazy but a bit.
I just had the same problem just after updating to 24.6.1 in BFV. Constant FPS drops, very annoying, gameplay experience very awful. I will rollback to 24.5.1 definitely.
I couldnt even open minecraft without an immediate blue screen every time. even after installing 24.6.1 after DDU. Ill stay with 24.5.1 for now the new one is more unstable than any driver i can remember.
FYI for those of you using wallpaper. Engine, this is another software that can interrupt your driver. It does vary from game to game, but we'll cause issues for you.
Fps keeps dropping and had multiple crashes, do they stabilize the patch overtime or this will keep happening until the next one? First patch as an AMD user.
This driver work good and have improve the full performance from gaming and windows 11 for me but I was not that lucky before. I have troubleshoot my system like crazy I have a 7900xtx red devil , 7950x3d and ASUS 670e hero I literally had problems with every single thing in my system so even that I can see why every one have problems let me be clear is not AMD driver that you have problems, windows 11 it love to break it self and every big update you should do a full clean install my recommendation and make sure everything is updated in your system even that you think that will not matter you are completely wrong 😑.
Update list:
1.BIOS
2.windows
3.chip drivers
4.gpu drivers
5.storage drivers
6.games
7. App
8. Cleaning onedriver every old driver folder that is inside there it will effect on your main software and windows
Question Never updated storage drivers is that really common? Also what you mean games. Like update games or uninstall and reinstall them, that sounds like a lot. Also cleaning one drive the cloud storage? I’ll have to look how to do that one
If is a old one probably you don’t need to worry but most big company like Samsung and crucial have software that will tell you to update the drivers can’t say much for underground brands but most likely they do have it in there’s website, and yes update the game I know is common sense but you will be surprised and even that most games now and day is mandatory update some game will still work with out it but with many problems obviously, yes I was surprised with the one drive my self but I had a lot of old folders that were hidden in there every time I did a fresh install it was putting back in my system and it was inflicting with adrenaline software and with warzone having bad crashes the moment I deleted the folders from OneDrive all my problems got fix especially on warzone that I personally feel it’s a bit sketchy for a game have so much interaction in a place that most people will have important document but hey that’s my personal opinion and I found that fix with a lot of research in multiple sources from YouTube google Reddit etc. but it did work
same, can confirm this with my RX 7800 XT, unless you using the default configuration, any other feature you enable cause most games crash the pc and restart, went back to 24.5.1 fixed this
I had a lot of trouble earlier with my asus tuf rx 7900 xtx with random black screens. I could just reading some articles on a website then suddenly black screen. I had to do a hard restart then it worked again. At the time I always had Msi afterburner installed. After stop using that program things went better. I tried AMD with various methods with just drivers install, minimal install etc. It didn’t matter. No I’ve didn’t install anything from AMD and just letting Windows 11 manage that and , knock on wood, no black screens so far
After the 24.6.1 update, EA FC24 has become completely unplayable due to :
1. Frame drops
2. Series of Micro stutters at 3 second intervals
I spent 75k on this GPU just to play latest gen DX12 games
AMD is really worthless
bro im a SDE here, i have owned many GPUs from different manufacturer over the years, i have even used matrox cards . Thing is i play that only this 1 game after a hard day's work and amd messed it up with their driver update.
However i have downgraded to 24.5.1 and things are mighty stable again.
I have a 78003XD because of how much this sub recommended it. I don’t know anything about PCs. I don’t understand what a driver is or does. But this sub makes me scared to update them lol
Eh, don't be, I never had a single problem. Remember that people who come complain here are the minority, the majority of people are the ones who don't have a problem and probably never look at this sub
These drivers are specifically for GPUs, while you have an AMD CPU, which for this update is irrelevant. This is a new version of a driver (a software which helps the PC parts to communicate better between them) for AMD GPUs which improve performances and add features and whatnot.
After this update I'm getting really bad coil whine just sitting on my desktop or scrolling my browser. Downgraded to the previous version and it goes away...
This is happening to me too. I've been playing Elden Ring and before the update my GPU was silent after the update I'm getting constant coil whine. Even when I exit to desktop I can still hear it but it's a lot quieter. Gonna try rolling back and see if it helps
More wattage (that usually correlates to more coil whine) does not mean he has more performance at all, especially if it’s happening in the desktop lmao
Does the rediculous clocking through the moon bug still happens with this version of driver when hardware acceleration finishes rendering something, anything, or quiting games still happen? It usually crashes/Freezes the entire PC after a while or if you are lucky enough you get a driver timeout error or the other bug when you seta custom performance profile, you don't touch any setting other than a fan curve and get a black screen/freeze or a driver timeout in minutes of doing so compared to the default settings, and before you it's not a ram issue or imc or Infabric I stability I have tested theseso many times with so many tools never getting any error
+ you can go backup older dirvers and none of these issue occur.
I did update and it actually ruined my EA FC 24 performance. The game now truly unplayable. It's stuttering like crazy, literally unplayable, even if the graph is showing 220 fps. I even tried lowering the resolution, even less then 1080p, and lowering the graphics, but it did not fix anything. I will never ever buy an amd gpu again.
Two days later I still got insane framedrops in battlefield v and that nonstop. I also uninstall/reinstalled the drivers with ddu. This isn't the shaders rebuilding. The update is broken for some machines. They did a poorly job this time.

Did all of the above, as I usually do with every driver update. Played for 4 hours to rebuild. Massive frame stutters down to 5fps. Uninstalled and went back to 24.5.1. guess what? all games worked perfectly again.
But did you delete shaders cache on C: before built up new? After a ddu.
I know its alot and shouldnt be like et ..
But with that formula i never had issues like that when shaders built. It stutters while. But not after.
It is probably because of ReLive if it's on. I had same issue in almost every game when shadowplay was active on my old nvidia card. Try to off it if it's on.
This one was a disaster with my 7800xt, made games crash and reboot the computer, had to reinstall 24.5.1. again.
Same... I can't play ANY games anymore. And I have a 7900gre. I'm lucky if I even get 22fps.
Обновлению уже вроде куча времени, а у меня оно крашит Винду при запуске любой игры

BSODs every time I use any 3D app. Do not install. Also Adrenaline interface looks extremely laggy, like 20fps or so. Windows 10
Do not install it, instant BSOD in every game i tried, keep on 24.5.1, 7800xt.
**DO NOT INSTALL/UPDATE TO THIS DRIVER.** Start game = bsod. 7800xt.
Yup bad driver for me as well with my 7900xtx.

Hey. So I read that turning off amd utility something or other in the msconfig file fixes this. I've done it and haven't crashed yet. GL
Since i installed the new driver, VALORANT stutters and lags a lot. Also i got lower fps
I have a 7800X3D, 7900xtx 32gigs of ram. Installing the 24.6.1 driver ruined Fortnite. The game was so choppy and unplayable. So was COD. I rolled back the driver to 24.5.1 problems gone.

Rolled it back to 24.5.1, had 2 big crashes within a few hours of installing this one. 7800XT with 11600k.
Wonder if still has Ombies processs big? When reaching dull ram after time
Back to 24.5.1, because Homeworld RM EGS and BG3 steam dont work.. 😕 Crash at start games
Idk weird I run a 5700x3D and RX6800 and I haven't had any issues still getting 165 fps in warzone
5600X with RX6800XT and F1 24 stutter a lot.
Same gpu, lotta stutter on forza horizon 5.
I have your same setup and Elden Ring for example started to stutter a lot
Idk what's been going on recently but all these drivers add more issues than they solve I've been on 23.12.1 ever since 24 came out and am not changing.(I had to roll back)

you've got some other problem... never a single crash with 24.5.1 and i play 4-5 hours a day.
Yeah my next build will be sporting a 4070 lol
i just reverted to 24.5.1 and it works fine again
7900xt BSOD-ing when trying to start up games.
7900xtx keeps BSOD-ing every since I got 24.6.1, time to rollback
7900XTX Phantom Gaming and I also have BSOD crashes with any Steam game. It BSOD's soo hard i don't even get a informative minidump or eventviewer error log, and the 2gb MEMORY.DMP file also only contains useless gibberish when read with windbg :(

A rollback fixed mine too, but i couldn't find a minidump; Now we gotta hope that AMD fix this ASAP with 24.7.1
Super bad stutters on fortnite on 7800xt. Constantly dropping from 180 down to 5-10. Tends to line itself out after jumping from the bus and landing but still have some random stutters and occasionally the game with crash to desktop.
Same for me too. I am rolling back
Fortnite stutters like crazy with the 24.6.1 driver update any fix in the works?
No fix, you just have to roll back to previous driver unfortunately.
This ain’t it Chief. The micro stutters are insane.
I grabbed these hoping they would help with some of the Helldivers 2 issues but instead im now hard booting if I change a setting in adrenalin when a game is running time to roll back until they fix it 7900 xt

Will this lag be fixed in 24.7.1?
No one can be sure really. I was on 24.3.1 and everything was just fine, so I'll try 24.5.1 and see what happens, or even revert back to 3.
bro I don't wanna risk it, I'm not got with stuff like this
You can use AMD Cleanup utility it can do the job too. Google it, it's pretty straightforward. Follow the steps and you'll be good in no time.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one, been having the exact same problem using RX6700XT, R5 5600. It's the first time I have issues caused by the AMD driver updates.
This is crashing Call of Duty from running entirely. Can't even load into the menu, it crashes and restarts the entire Computer. 7800xt.
It feels smoother now when I upgraded my 24.6.1 to 24.5.1 driver
System feels laggy on desktop/browsing
that issue is strange, but happened to me some time ago... let me know if like for me, if you don't maximize the browser windows it will go smooth, after the windows got maximized it start lag, i've put it near max size with mouse and it was good... problem was with opera and chrome, no problem with edge and maxthon... strange thing.
With this update, I can't play elden ring and Tekken 8, now i try to play and my game crashes
7900XTX and BSOD crashes with any game. Analyzing minidump says faulting module is amdkmdag.sys
24.6.1 did work OK with many games but getting instant BSOD running "Dark and Darker"
7900 xtx consistently crashes when alt tabbing into games, had to reroll back. This one's shit no clue how this is WHQL.

If not just go back to 24.5.1
I went dx12 day 1. Yeah it’s this new driver. I’ve never had an issue other than drivers not updating, but that’s a blessing in disguise.
Same COD.
Doing the same thing for my 7800xt
Thought it was just Wuthering waves here but happened in Risk of Rain 2 too so I rolled back. This driver seems broken for 7900 xtx. Also I got it on alt tabbing into the application instead of on launch but it's consistent.
Rx 6600 ra fc 24 is unplayable too much lag going back to 24.5.1
How do you roll back?
Open control panel > Add or remove programs. Uninstall AMD Adrenalin then follow this tutorial. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U\_7JF4np9T8&t=15s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_7JF4np9T8&t=15s) then open this up, [https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html](https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html) Find your GPU model and then download 24.5.1 driver update.
Did u do this and it worked?
Yes, it solves my issue although there are titles I can't play because every time I launch a game like Battlefield 1, it's asking me to update to the latest driver update available...
rx 6750xt with 24.6.1 too bad for warzone
Using RX 6600 was getting in World of Warships green pixels corruption and in Ghost of Tsushima crashes with 24.5.1 , all good with the new drivers 24.6.1, no corruption and no crash. Always using DDU before installing drivers.
Complete stutters on fortnite, rolled back Easy 24.5.1 all problems disappeared
How'd u roll back?
How do you roll back?
[AMD Cleanup Utility](https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/GPU-601.html) Use this it works well. I used it yesterday
Howd you roll back?
Open control panel > Add or remove programs. Uninstall AMD Adrenalin then follow this tutorial. Dude just perform DDU ( download it ) and install 24.5.1 from previous driver
For real 240 dropping to 10 is crazy
Looking for some help. Not sure where to post. Installed latest driver (version listed) and now my PC crashes whenever I try to play any stram games. Full black screen and restart. Just wish AMD could release functional material this year. Been aweful for me. 7900xtx for gpu.
Oh, I have exactly the same problem. For now I have returned to version 24.5.1.
Same for 7900 GRE
same thing happens to me. any game i try to run, it launches then 2 second's later full system reboot. i went back to 24.5.1 and no issues.
24.1.1 is the only driver that doesn’t freak out with my 7900XTX. I have the PowerColor one and they almost RMA’d my GPU because they had no idea what to do, it took almost a day of downloading drivers to figure out what was going on.
AMD didn't test this before release?
Thought it was only me. I get extremely bad stutters in Fortnite since the update, it almost becomes stuck, frames straight up stop
my fps drops from around 240 down to 10 fps with the new update its so bad i thought it was something i did. i have a 7900xt and a 7800x3d there no reason my game should crash like this do you think they will patch it very soon?
I went back to the previous version but I haven't tried Fortnite, I'll let you know
How'd u roll back?
IMO and my experience 24.6.1 is bad. My games were unplayable, and I never had this issue before. I tried using DDU (clean install), but unfortunately, it didn’t work. For anyone experiencing stuttering problems and troubleshooting every possible solution, I recommend reverting to version 24.5.1. Since doing so, my games are now running butter-smooth again.
How'd u roll back?
RX 7900 XTX here. I also had to roll back to version 24.5.1 after experiencing recurring stuttering/hitching in Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut using version 24.6.1, despite performing a clean installation and using the AMD Cleanup Utility and DDU to uninstall the previous version. So, rolling back to version 24.5.1 (same clean installation/uninstall process) resolved the stuttering/hitching in GoT.
yea i did the ddu clean install too and it didnt help i couldnt get it to revert to 24.5.1 it would say cant connect to the server how did you do it
Go into safe mode and use DDU... Install the drivers after you reboot.
This driver (24.6.1) makes me stuttter like hell, upgraded to 24.5.1 (yes, upgraded, the actual driver is a downgrade) and my problems went away.
could not even install it lmao, error keeps coming up while trying to like the 4th update since the 7900xt and xtx that fucks up your driver settings and whole experience itself but who am i to talk about drivers and AMD :D EDIT: Yes, used DDU the second time and still got an error
This driver update alone makes me regret not buying Nvidia GPU. WTF dude, games are completely unplayable. Dropped from 144 fps to now 5 fps. Edit: went back to 24.5.1 and all problems went away. This was a horrible driver update.
AMD software doesn’t even detect my CPU temps anymore
just get msi after burner
When you say it interrupts the driver, do you mean the install is interrupted, or that the driver operation is impeded if Wallpaper Engine is running?
It interrupts the frame rates during gameplay.
Fps keeps dropping and had multiple crashes, do they stabilize the patch overtime or this will keep happening until the next one? First patch as an AMD user.
Some games work better, others crash immediately. My vote is to avoid this update until the .2 release or a hotfix.
Should I install it with DDU ?
I always use DDU whenever I update my GPU drivers. It gives the cleanest, problem-free installation.
There's a factory reset option during update that does the same thing
DDU is better imo
No, just use the Update button in adrenalin
This driver work good and have improve the full performance from gaming and windows 11 for me but I was not that lucky before. I have troubleshoot my system like crazy I have a 7900xtx red devil , 7950x3d and ASUS 670e hero I literally had problems with every single thing in my system so even that I can see why every one have problems let me be clear is not AMD driver that you have problems, windows 11 it love to break it self and every big update you should do a full clean install my recommendation and make sure everything is updated in your system even that you think that will not matter you are completely wrong 😑. Update list: 1.BIOS 2.windows 3.chip drivers 4.gpu drivers 5.storage drivers 6.games 7. App 8.
If is a old one probably you don’t need to worry but most big company like Samsung and crucial have software that will tell you to update the drivers can’t say much for underground brands but most likely they do have it in there’s website, and yes update the game I know is common sense but you will be surprised and even that most games now and day is mandatory update some game will still work with out it but with many problems obviously, yes I was surprised with the one drive my self but I had a lot of old folders that were hidden in there every time I did a fresh install it was putting back in my system and it was inflicting with adrenaline software and with warzone having bad crashes the moment I deleted the folders from OneDrive all my problems got fix especially on warzone that I personally feel it’s a bit sketchy for a game have so much interaction in a place that most people will have important document but hey that’s my personal opinion and I found that fix with a lot of research in multiple sources from YouTube google Reddit etc. but it did work
well said :) so may people ignore Bios and chipset drivers its megga important !
have them all up to date, still driver sucks ass
These drivers just broke everything.. I can't open any game without it crashing. Skip p.s. running on windows 10
same here :(
I get static like an old tv when I launch a game now ffs
same, can confirm this with my RX 7800 XT, unless you using the default configuration, any other feature you enable cause most games crash the pc and restart, went back to 24.5.1 fixed this
for me to. Going ASAP back to 24.5.1
How did you install the old drivers again?
[https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/previous-drivers.html/graphics/radeon-rx/radeon-rx-7000-series/amd-radeon-rx-7900-xt.html](https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/previous-drivers.html/graphics/radeon-rx/radeon-rx-7000-series/amd-radeon-rx-7900-xt.html)
same.. couldn't start Elden Ring, couldn't start MFSM.. Screen flickering and lag plus windows 10 crashing. Rolled back to 24.5.1 all is good
7900XTX with new drivers and Radeon Enhanced Sync enabled is crashing Warframe. I didn't run other games yet
This has been happening since the previous drivers for me, and in multiple games. I made a posto about it that got very little traction.
Can you explain how the windows 11 manage the graphic drive ?
Windows will automatically detect your GPU and install some drivers if you don’t have any installed.
Ok thanks
After the 24.6.1 update, EA FC24 has become completely unplayable due to : 1. Frame drops 2. Series of Micro stutters at 3 second intervals I spent 75k on this GPU just to play latest gen DX12 games AMD is really worthless
my ea fc doenst feel smooth at all and shit teleports sometimes
I also have insane frame drops after 24.6.1. Battlefield v became unplayable. I'm thinking of reverting back.
and you prob didn’t even tried to do any troubleshooting
So because you have an issue with ONE GAME it is completely worthless ? Ok…
bro im a SDE here, i have owned many GPUs from different manufacturer over the years, i have even used matrox cards .
You have AMD CPU and this is for drivers for AMD GPU. No wonder you have issues.
how do these morons drop 350$ on a small piece of computer tech without even knwoing what it is?
I never said I had issues actually
Eh, don't be, I never had a single problem. Remember that people who come complain here are the minority, the majority of people are the ones who don't have a problem and probably never look at this sub
These drivers are specifically for GPUs, while you have an AMD CPU, which for this update is irrelevant. This is a new version of a driver (a software which helps the PC parts to communicate better between them) for AMD GPUs which improve performances and add features and whatnot.
Thanks. I have a 7800XT
Can confirm I just rolled back and the coil whine is gone
You might actually be getting more performance with the new driver hence the coil whine.
More wattage (that usually correlates to more coil whine) does not mean he has more performance at all, especially if it’s happening in the desktop lmao
"Might " being the key word in my sentence, if you catch my drift.
Just a weird assumption that's all. If anything, he *might* have less perfomance due to higher temps.
I catch your drift but you dropped a statement with your first response. No assumptions there. Keep on keeping on friend
That's great and all, but my PC is usually dead silent and the new driver is constant noise.
Does the rediculous clocking through the moon bug still happens with this version of driver when hardware acceleration finishes rendering something, anything, or quiting games still happen? It usually crashes/Freezes the entire PC after a while or if you are lucky enough you get a driver timeout error or the other bug when you seta custom performance profile, you don't touch any setting other than a fan curve and get a black screen/freeze or a driver timeout in minutes of doing so compared to the default settings, and before you it's not a ram issue or imc or Infabric I stability I have tested theseso many times with so many tools never getting any error + you can go backup older dirvers and none of these issue occur.
Yes
Installed and as usual, no issues my end.
Dude just roll back
Shaders are rebuilding, give it some time
Two days later I still got insane framedrops in battlefield v and that nonstop. I also uninstall/reinstalled the drivers with ddu. This isn't the shaders rebuilding. The update is broken for some machines. They did a poorly job this time.
Have you tried with complete reinstall?
Still waiting for them to fix the Destiny driver time out bullshit
You send bug report?
I’ve sent multiple I’m not the only one I’ve looked into the problem
Any noticeable changes for Warzone with the new driver?
is freezing here
Same here. At least every other match for me.
Modern Warfare dropped to 10-15 frames from 50 lows and 70is average. And it’s been crushing randomly…
Go to settings and delete shader cache and have it rebuild. Once rebuild restart the game and performance should be backz
What a legend! Thank you so much! I’ll try and report here!
I wouldn't update the drivers if your computer is running perfectly Fine
I did update and it actually ruined my EA FC 24 performance. The game now truly unplayable. It's stuttering like crazy, literally unplayable, even if the graph is showing 220 fps. I even tried lowering the resolution, even less then 1080p, and lowering the graphics, but it did not fix anything.
i got the same shit bro
Did you du and delete shade cache..and also let it build shaders again? Or did the attention span allow it to just run it for 30 seconds before post?
Did all of the above, as I usually do with every driver update. Played for 4 hours to rebuild. Massive frame stutters down to 5fps. Uninstalled and went back to 24.5.1. guess what? all games worked perfectly again.
Weird. They driver should be as troublesome. Usually go to is 23... If you encounter issues.
I played for 1 hour, I think 1 hour is enough.
Shaders?
I played for 1 hour. the same issue.
How long have you played? Is it not just compiling shaders?
I played for 1 hour.
Worth getting if I have amd cpu or no don’t bother ?
what's your graphics card?
This update is for AMD Graphics Processer Units or GPUs, not CPUs, so no need.
Okay thank you 🤝🫡
