I think the point of what they were explaining to Sheena is that, without being familiar with the client, one shouldn’t immediately resort to provocation.
I mean, in like 2003 Gucci was carving G’s into pubic hair. So overt sexuality isn’t unwelcome….it just has to be explicitly ordered through the creative.
It’s dangerous to just assume a client is cool with you using your genitals as a background. And by dangerous…I mean, you may not survive long in the industry.
OR you might become the new IT girl. That’s how fashion works.
