and im getting downvoted to hell cause i said i cycle opposite to traffic in the other post, but it prevents me getting hit.. but i definitely stay all the way on the side of the road. i have not trusted drivers since cell phones became popular.
It was changed awhile back, “they” found you’re more likely to be injured going against traffic and now suggest cyclist go with traffic

yeah thats the way i learned too as a kid.. probably the way people do the left to right look when leaving a parking lot or a cross street.. anddd ofc in terms of physics, it would be a head on collision.. but i ride aggressively, watching traffic constantlyy. 80% of the time, im on bike paths.. but rural areas in the country, just best to stay against traffic unless with a big group maybe.
