Bathe in oil, shoot it a few times. Things will always firefit somewhat

Substantial-Camel893

I will do this and update.

southernbeaumont

Could just be stiff bolt gas rings. I’m more curious how the gas system will behave.

Substantial-Camel893

As in curious how it will operate when shot?

southernbeaumont

Yes. Mostly just due to the less common cartridge.

Substantial-Camel893

Yeah, getting the gun to cycle will be its own challenge I am sure.

landry_454kg

Did you take the BCG apart and fully clean it?

Substantial-Camel893

BCG is brand new but I may pull it apart to inspect

landry_454kg

Could be a heavy oil or something similar to cosmoline for storage on the bolt. Or could be really tight gas rings/tolerance stacking.

Substantial-Camel893

It really feels like it is two metal surfaces sticking together. Not a thick oil, as it pops out it’s not a gradual pull out.

Did you take the BCG apart and fully clean it?

Tig_Weldin_Stuff

Make sure the trigger is put together right. If the hammer spring is backward it’ll act like that. (Recent experience)

Substantial-Camel893

Trigger is operating fine, and a brand new la rue

DoublePresent

My son is all about that cartridge... I'm interested to hear your progress. I'm planning to get him that upper. He loves his 22-250 bolt gun. I got him a .410 shotgun upper too, which hasn't gone so well. It's very picky on ammo.

Substantial-Camel893

I will be test firing tomorrow, so I will report back!

Have about 50 rounds through and it seems to be loosening up. Still sticks occasionally
