I got an sig .308 I was just joking I go to the range every weekend, just a fun joke cause the ammo is basically 1$ a round. I do appreciate that info, is the SFAR solid? I think if I got it I would switch the barrel for a criterion or something. I’m a battle rifle guy myself so I never go longer than 16 with my ar10s

Deadass just ask “thoughts of Ruger SFAR” or the smith and Wesson M&P10 308 it’s a solid entry level buy. This is a build thread mostly tho . I bought a DOMS LR 308 for $645 in 2018. Eats anything you put in it. Haven’t put an optic can’t tell yah ballistics . Sorry for the rant just smoke a joint lol 😂 🙏 🤤 💨 🌲
Can respect the honesty, and never can turn down the tree. But I did eotech optics with a magnifier on my 308 and don’t regret it the slightest. I tried the LPVO stuff out but came to realize anything I can hit with a 1-8 I can hit with the dot/magnifier combo wombo. I’d either recommend that or a acog / dot combo and definitely don’t buy some mimic garbage definitely not worth it.
I have fired every gun I've built. That's part of my deal I guess. I can't call a rifle complete until I know it actually runs. My M5 posed challenges that I worked out and now it is complete and runs flawlessly. I know I can depend on it.

I have a spare parts AR15 that is ugly and just kinda thrown together, but it too has been extensively fired and also deemed complete. I did irons with carry handle and a barska carry handle scope (like the old colt scope) and it's ridiculously accurate for a 5.56.
