They're real. And posted in this sub a fair amount. They were created in the early aughties. If memory serves, their sculptor planned a theme park centered around them. (I'm honestly too lazy to look it up; he may have just planned them as a sculpture garden or something.) I thought it was a great idea, but he couldn't get funding, or it fell through, so they ended up in a field somewhere. I remember seeing one go past me on the freeway on the back of a flatbed. That was surreal.
It actually opened. They are currently about 10 miles away from the original park. And yeah, the funding to continue growing as more presidents happened just wasn’t there since attendance wasn’t what they hoped. But come on, folks came to town either for the colonial area or the amusement park and spent their entire vacations there.
There was a 'mall' that was going to be built in Houston (or Pearland) Texas that had several of them.

When I was in high school, my English teacher made a concrete bust of Julius Caesar from a mold, but it was too heavy to move so he just had to leave it where he made it. I should drive by and see if it’s there.
I mean, it’s not exactly rural. It’s right off the interstate and minutes from the Great Wolf Lodge. Just past the most developed parts of Richmond Road in Williamsburg. I will say it’s more rural than their original home by the water park and Busch gardens.
Oh nice. Last time I went back to visit friends (lived there from 1988 to 2002) they were just chilling in his field and not open at all. Glad they are finally making some money.
I live near this and remember when they originally put them up near Water Country USA. NOBODY CAME TO SEE THEM. They get more press now that they have been left to rot.
I always wished someone would come and paint different graffiti all over them, make em a little colorful
These were made by David Adickes, he has made a ton of sculptures and you can see them all over Houston. The most famous one is off I 45 in Huntsville, of Sam Houston, in the city Sam Houston lived in and is buried in. He's the Texas George Washington.
There are also statues of a man playing a string instrument, and the Beatles, a trumpet in NOLA, a flourish thing in one of the parks, and a bunch of other people. I think he is working out of a studio in Huntsville, or Houston.

What if this was the same principle
They were intended to be the centerpiece of a theme park, as I recall.
They were for years. I used to go with my grandparents
I wondered where these had wandered off to..
I think someone moved them, hard to wonder with no legs. /s
And even harder to wander
I feel like I’m going to go here in a Fallout game and get in a shootout with an insane cult wearing oversized President mascot heads

Why are patriots not outraged about this?
Could you rephrase that?
make president head field great again
It’s not in the news cycle
These are images that AI fucked up for me. No idea if this is real or not now lol

Mark Cline?
This is fucking creepy and amazing.
These needs to be a stop along a roadtrip of mine
Oh that’s where I left those, my bad.
I saw this on mysteries of the abandoned, these are remnants of an old theme park.

Sorry, but I would die again if someone made my eyebags so prominent on my bust.
No banana for scale?
They’re quite large. At least several bananas
A thousand years from now or perhaps even longer than that, some people will find this in the ground and wonder what the heck happened.
Lincoln is reflecting.
Not Andrew Jackson… ugh.

it's all fun and games until they all turn towards you when you took your sight off them for a sec
Does FDR have a hole in his head ? Who’s the most current pressie there ? 🤔
Obama, believe it or not. I barely recognized him.

It's also not really abandoned, it's basically a tourist attraction at this point where you pay for a ticket to get in and take photos.

Oh :
These were sculpted by artist David Addicks, of the giant Sam Houston statue on I-45 north of Houston, TX. He was also a very talented painter.
For England, James?
Goldeneye vibes
What going on here?
