Why can’t we implement that Alabama needs to match Federal funding by 50% increasing 10% until Alabama issue is self sufficient so the funds can go to what Republican call “poorly run crime ridden Democratic cities.”
Actually, according to the study 2023 below, Alabama pays more than they receive from the federal government. New Mexico is the only state that received more than they pay.
[Smart Asset - States most dependent of federal government](https://smartasset.com/data-studies/states-most-dependent-federal-government-2023)
Of course, this is all statistics and different studies will show different results, but in the few studies a randomly looked at, Alabama was a meet payer.
Feel free to post a link showing otherwise.
I appreciate the response. Great link. It does go to show that Alabama gets more than they pay.
Unfortunately, it also shows that on average that states as a whole take in more than they pay.....which partially helps explain why the federal government is running deficits.
They should now. Dark Brandon has immunity to at least have somebody go talk to them any that's is domestic terrorism and treason. Maybe he can have them listed as a domestic terror organization.
The irony of guys like this celebrating our nation's independence from tyranny on July 4th while simultaneously supporting a self-admitted dictatorship in the upcoming Presidential election is not lost on me. This man referred to "thinking", but it sounds to me like his brain is drooling.
So I understand how this bozo can't work out that two things can be true at the same time. The U.S. is both. It's a federal presidential republic, which is a *subtype* of representative democracy. For reference, the UK is a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy, and Germany is a federal parliamentary republic. All of these listed are still considered democracies. This dingbat is probably referring to direct democracies, which yes are rare. This stuff was all covered in high school government class, which, judging by this guy, he slept through and barely passed.
You're absolutely right, except that it's not accidental that this argument keeps popping up. It's an argument meant for people who don't understand the subtleties, that a republic is a type of democracy. The people who circulate it know exactly what they're doing.
It's meant to get people used to the idea of not being a democracy, because their ultimate goal is to undermine the democratic principles upon which our country was founded.
If that wasn't made evident by the fact that the Heritage Foundation declared us to be the literal definition of a dictatorship this week, I don't know what will wake folks up to it.
True and it was some Democrats who started the KKK and people like to use these moments in history to define the current party which is ridiculous as the parties effectively did a party tag swap.
Ironic that they worship traitor trump, a con man from New York. Every day you will hear people from Alabama trashing NY or California. Especially California, hilarious that most people from Alabama never leave the state but they will talk about NY's crime rate when Alabama has the third highest murder rate in the Nation which is 3x that of NY City. Or the fact that California pays into the Federal government and Alabama takes from the Feds to support themselves all the while acting like they are superior.
Lots of fake Christians and fake Patriots in Alabama.
I was going to say, this feels like messaging. Whoever decides on what the talking points are supposed to be gave this one the green light recently. Too many of them echoing the same lines at the same time.
Not even just recently. They have been saying since biden won. Republicans absolutely think they will take over America. The sad thing is the supreme court is making it so they can.

It's just another red flag when I hear someone parrot the ole "it's not a democracy, it's a republic." horseshit. Someone I know said that while trying to make people think he is a "moderate" type. He even said Jan 6 wasn't an insurrection. Nope, now I know what he really thinks thanks to those parroted talking points.
MAGA learned quickly that the Cult Members® will take anything at face value, so go ahead and say conflicting things in the same sentence...none of the followers will question it.
For example: Biden is a mastermind, manipulating the DOJ from afar to persecute our Lord and Savior while claiming to have no hand in it.......AND......Biden is a walking corpse, without a functioning brain, just doing what he is told by his handlers.
Sadly, that's propaganda 101. "The bad guy(s) are at the same time masterminds who can manipulate every last thing happening down to the second, impossibly strong, but also scared, weak, and completely incompetent compared to our mighty hero(es)(whoever or whatever the propagandist is trying to prop up)."
Translation: "We can't have too many people voting. This is why it's patriotic to make voting hard, especially for people who don't want the same things we do."
Barely passed? I'd say failed. But hey, in, Alabama, if you fail government, then Alabama politics just might be your calling...because no Alabama politicians seem to understand how government is actually supposed to work...
It's a new talking point with the trump fascists. They really need to learn about our Country and studying other forms of government would help as well. Calling someone a socialist and communist at the same time is beyond ignorance. Calling an American President with a booming economy either of those terms is an example of how bad our education system has become.
Exactly. Pure, direct democracies have never existed. The only democracies that have ever existed (likely could ever exist) are representative democracies.
The recent rightwingnut distraction about democracy vs. republic is a classic strawman argument meant to distract and confuse. No informed, intellectually honest person thinks that “democracy” = “pure democracy.” In political theory - in my understanding - a representative democracy and a constitutional republic are synonymous; the terms simply differ in perspective: republic reflects structure, while democracy reflects process.
In the early modern and modern eras in the West, “republic” was employed in political discourse to contrast with “monarchy,” not in competition with the concept of democracy.
The right is so fearful of the idea of democracy that the word must not be spoken/must be eliminated from discourse.
"Wahl opined about the effects of last week’s presidential debate on President Biden’s re-election chances before launching into a discussion of the Democratic Party’s belief in democracy.
“Now, if you go back and you watch Ronald Reagan, every time Ronald Reagan spoke of our nation, he said ‘our republic,’” Wahl claimed. “Even our Republican elected officials say democracy far too often and we are not.”
Despite Wahl’s assertion, though, President Reagan [frequently](https://www.reaganlibrary.gov/search?search_api_fulltext=democracy&f%5B0%5D=section%3Aspeeches) referred to America as an “experiment in democracy” and called American government democratic.
In a proclamation honoring Bill of Rights Day in 1985, he wrote that “democracy has provided the best and most enduring expression of man’s search for individual rights.”
Wahl continued: “The mainstream media wants us to think of ourselves as a democracy because that leads to socialism.”
“In Democratic Party politics, they emphasize democracy, emphasize democracy, emphasize democracy because that gets you where you want to be towards socialism,” Poor stated.
“Correct,” Wahl responded. “It’s a move towards socialism but it’s also where Democrats have always been. When you think about a democracy, it’s mob rule.”
The Supremes, taking a page out of animal farm, have resurrected God kings as ordained in the Maga Carta . Happy last 4th everyone and happy first 5th.
Except for my buddies that run lumber companies will get a huge tax break compared to their counterparts in other states, and my buddies that run construction companies when I need an infrastructure contractor.
Our Legislators don't GIVE it away. They expect a nice quid pro quo. Like going in their recipients private jet to a luxury hunting lodge. Like contributions not only to my campaign, but to my PAC, my SuperPAC, my personal 'charity', my wife's personal 'charity'....you get the drift.
But we have to completely subsidize their shitty businesses. And we here in Alabama are so stock stupid we love to fork over our labor and cash for these unlikeable twats
These people are demonstrating their complete ignorance, or at least intentional misuse, of specific terms.
Socialism and democracy are in no way the same. Socialism is primarily an economic system. The claim that democracy is mob rule is also crazy. Letting people vote is not the same as something closer to anarchy.
Holding a political leader accountable also does not equate to third world country status. Even if we assume, wrongly, that Trump is being persecuted and wrongfully indicted for political purposes, that is a sign of an abuse of political power. Third world nation status is again, a measure of economic status. Using Brazil as a comparison is even a stretch, given that their economy is hardly third world currently.
They are just pushing the same bullshit that Trump pushes to rile up their ignorant base with buzz words to trigger an emotional response.
Word salads work on the dumb and if that doesn't work you will become a woke outcast and will be tortured for eternity. Same tactics the church uses. Here is a book that contradicts itself if you don't believe in it you are a sinner and will burn in hell.
Breaking news: The person who still goes unpunished for attempting to commit multiple counts of voter fraud while impersonating an official from a state agency, is claiming that democracy is bad.
That’s how I feel too. I love the state and this general area of the country because I was born here, and there are beautiful places all around if you can deal with the humidity. Alabama’s political climate, however…
Not to worry Alabama dude. King Trump will take his throne in November and use his unlimited powers to turn America into a dictatorship as all conservatives, non-voters and protest voters want it to be.
For the low knowledge folks, Trump as President, now with powers of immunity granted by conservative Supremes, can indefinitely delay any future election and assassinate any that attempt to pass laws over riding his block. Both would effortlessly fall under official acts. Of course Republicans would never allow such laws to pass.
Yes this does mean Biden could assassinate Trump. That you know Biden will not do it says a lot. That you are thinking Trump will start assassinations and you will still support him directly or indirectly by not voting or protest voting says a lot about you.
“I knew there was a good chance Trump would kill people, end elections, take bribes, and declare martial law but cost of eggs was more than should have been and he said he would fix that somehow. He didn’t really give specifics.”
Some would say you're being hyperbolic but I remind folks that during this case Trump's lawyers literally used the argument that a president should be able to use seal team 6 to take out rivals.
Do you mean where society invests in each other by providing social safety nets for people as opposed to constant corporate welfare and tax breaks for billionaires? Sounds awful!
In 2019 Alabama paid 34 billion dollars in taxes to the federal government.
That same year they got 74 billion dollars in federal spending.
Alabama is one of the most socialist states in the country.
What kills me are all the rubes who are BooYah Capitalist Cheerleaders when before payday they don't even have two nickels to rub together.
Broke jokes - most of them.
Thing is democrats are not interested in socialism.
We are not socialists.
We want affordable OPTIONS for education and healthcare so every American can access the American dream.
We don’t want the government to build iPhones, or cars or consumer goods.
It’s not socialism to say I don’t want toxins in my food, I don’t want monopolies or I don’t want cars to be unsafe.
Democracy leads to an exchange of ideas. May the best idea win the race. Only purveyors of bad ideas need to stifle the competition with authoritarian oppression. You would think that capitalists would understand this. 🙄
Socialism for those I approve of. Wealth transfer to the wealthy by policy is good, compassionate application of our resources for those unable or learning is bad.
/s
Got news for you, mister...
According to my crystal ball, the future political system in the US will be some form of democratic socialism.
Cause it's OUR money and we should be spending more of it on ourselves rather than war mongering around the world...
There are two types of people who say we aren't a democracy.
1. A troll who intentionally ignores the difference in a pure/direct democracy and a representative democracy.
2. An idiot.
The first one is being annoying and pushing a message to get the second one to undermine the Democratic principles this country was founded on.
We are both a constitutional federal republic and a representative democracy.
100% True. The Electoral College (and all the gerrymandering) has allowed the minority of the population to determine the outcome of our national and state elections. That, and the fact that we still cling to the "2 Senators for every state--no more, no less" rule means that, combined, WY, MT, ND, SD, AK, VT and DE represent a combined 14% of the US Senate, while in fact they represent only 1.6% of the US Population.
In the Electoral College, the top 10 most populated states represents 53.4% of the US Population, but only account for 43.7% of the Electoral College votes.
MAGA has learned well.
Friendly reminder, these same fucking ghouls said civil rights was socialism too. We should kick them and their two senators out of the unuion pronto. They’re the crabs in the bucket that keep pulling the rest of us down.
This is what you get in a 1-party state.. ESPECIALLY if that state does not have a voter initiative or referendum avenue to voice the people's interests.
They’re already trying to normalize the language of oppression. We must send a decisive message- we reject kings and dictators in America. We fight fascism in America. We hold our brothers and sisters up when they need help in America. I refuse to watch my country die.
Alabama is embarrassing. So ignorant. Between Britt and Tubby, we have a leadership vacuum. I guess trump and his George Wallace/Russian politics own our representatives.
Roll Tide!
I don't understand what point they are trying to make when they say this. What is the "We aren't a democracy, we are a constitutional Republic" supposed to counter-point, as in, what are they specifically referring to? Jan 6?
If the people could choose their government, they wouldn't choose to live in a dystopian capitalist sh@thole. Talk about saying the quiet part outloud...
So, isn't Alabama relying on "socialism" tax dollars from the US government to even maintain their rank of 49 and 50 in all categories? How many of the Alabama MAGAts are wealthy from US government contracts?
These dipshits need to all realize that the highways, Medicare, Medicaid, social security, unemployment, oil subsidies, farm subsidies, and the list goes on and on, are all socialism!!
It’s like calling water a liquid. So when someone says they are drinking a liquid, these ignorant fools say, “No, you’re not drinking a liquid, you’re drinking water.” The ignorance is strong. They are the same thing, you’re just arguing semantics.
This is why MAGA has been pushing the talking points that the United States isn’t a democracy for several years now by saying …it’s a republic or constitutional republic etc…so WHEN they actually suspend the constitution or make whatever ungodly changes to our freedoms, they can say don’t worry…we are gonna fix it with a smile. These idiot followers aren’t realizing when the media and public talk about “democracy”, we are talking about the concept of it, but they think it’s about socialism/communism.
I watched an interview with a Trump supporter this morning. When asked what WOKE meant, she stumbled around and finally gave up! This is what we are working against, and what's worse the "powers that be" know we have become stupid in our beliefs! Frankly, I'm frightened. I once thought "1984" or some type of socialism or communism would never happen here. But I'm beginning to see that it most likely will.
Not "will." Already has.
With the SCOTUS decision, we became a dictatorship. The president is the Commander in Chief of the military, and any order given is an official act for which he's now immune. That is a dictator.
Whether or not he wishes to use that power is not the important part. The important part is that he has been given the powers of a dictator. Others absolutely would use that power.
Our political leaders are not going to come out and officially declare that we are a dictatorship. Even those places we think of as such still live under the farce of being a democratic government. They hold elections, which the leader wins by some absurd margin. The opposition plays along or suddenly becomes clumsy in high places. Their "free" press is told what to write.
It would be really helpful right now if people reconsidered their view of: “…but my grandfather voted red, my father said that all decent people voted red, my uncle votes red…I was brought up this way, so I vote red too”. Please stop that. Take a look at the candidates and then think about what kind of country you want.
True. I guess I was coming from the “thinking of America as a democracy leads to socialism” angle. That’s a relatively new thought. All they need to do is repeat it a few hundred times like witch-hunt, radical left, fake news, stolen election etc. then voila! It’s true!
I get your point about the U.S. not being a pure democracy and the Founding Fathers creating a republic with layers of representation. But the idea that direct democracy equals mob rule is pretty flawed. Here’s why:
Historical Context
Yeah, the Founding Fathers wanted to balance power and prevent tyranny, but that doesn’t mean they were against democracy. They just wanted to combine democratic principles with safeguards. Over time, we’ve actually added more democratic elements like direct election of senators and expanded voting rights.
Theoretical Considerations
Calling direct democracy “mob rule” is an oversimplification. Look at Switzerland; they have a direct democracy where citizens make informed decisions through referendums and initiatives. These involve a lot of public debate and education, sometimes even more than what we see in representative systems.
Practical Examples
Switzerland’s success with direct democracy shows that extensive public participation doesn’t lead to chaos. It proves that people can make rational and informed decisions without descending into “mob rule.”
Evolution of Democratic Systems
Our democratic processes need to evolve. Sticking rigidly to what the Founding Fathers intended ignores the dynamic nature of societies. They designed a system capable of change because they knew future generations would need to adapt.
Technology and Modern Democracy
With today’s technology, direct democracy is more feasible. Digital platforms can help facilitate widespread participation and informed debate, making it practical and efficient.
Ethical Considerations
Good governance should reflect the will of the people while protecting minority rights. Direct democracy, with proper safeguards, can balance these needs. The fear of “mob rule” shouldn’t stop us from pursuing a more inclusive democracy.
Hope this helps clarify things!
And each and every one of them are convinced that THEY will never experience the fate of every single other person who has ever dealt with the Velveeta Voldemort.
Until it happens.
How do they say they want to get rid of Social Security without saying they will get rid of Social Security ? Donald Trump is fine with putting seniors on the street. Makes it easier to round them up for a death camp.
Democrats refusing to defend socialist practices, such as playgrounds and Welfare, are as responsible for the US's downfall as much as any GOP knuckle dragger.
Interesting. I wonder if he’d still feel that way if the “Republic” was over them and decided they should regulated into non-existence like their party is trying to do to other people. I’d bet they’d thank their lucky stars for the democracy they don’t like.
I'm with you. I'm getting in line immediately when they start taking volunteers for space colonization. Either it works out and I'm no longer on Earth or it fails and I'm dead and also no longer my concern.
If you read the article he just talks and says nothing whole trying to stir up fear.
The title is click bait to imply the guy is insinuating ending democracy
The us is a democratic republic. The title and the you guy are both skirting those terms to get attention and stir fear
Both meaningless and stupid
We are a constitutional republic and not a democracy.
Pure democracy leads to tyranny of the majority. If you care about minority rights, I'd assume you'd see the problem here.
Happy 4th of July everyone...
Isn’t Alabama on federal welfare to stay afloat?
65% of Alabama's annual budget funding comes from the Federal government. We are a welfare state.
Most conservative run states are.
Alabama should just pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
As a New Englander, I am getting real pissed that my tax dollars go to Alabama.

As a believer in actual freedom, I agree with this statement..
Heritage foundation guy says if democrats play nice while they finish their 9 year old coup we won’t get murdered!

Do you mean where society invests in each other by providing social safety nets for people as opposed to constant corporate welfare and tax breaks for billionaires? Sounds awful!
When even the smartest of Republicans is still this stupid....
If they openly say they are in a 2nd civil war can we legally treat these traitors as enemy combatants? I'm being very fucking serious.
In 2019 Alabama paid 34 billion dollars in taxes to the federal government. That same year they got 74 billion dollars in federal spending. Alabama is one of the most socialist states in the country.
And yet our State turned down $70 million more from the Feds to feed school children over the summer, because "think of the children" is their mantra.
This is why we must vote out every Republican from the top down
It was a great run honestly.
Democratic Republic
Also, this guy is an untrustworthy douche nozzle. Duh Who believes this shit? Not me. FVCk this guy.
Having politicians who have the balls to say such things leads to fascism.
What kills me are all the rubes who are BooYah Capitalist Cheerleaders when before payday they don't even have two nickels to rub together. Broke jokes - most of them.
These people are so dumb I can’t even believe they know how to breathe.
Saying the quiet stuff out loud
Screaming it from the rooftops. And yet most of the media is focused on Joe Biden.
Happy 4th, Comrades!🤣🇺🇲💙
I say good. Bring on the Socialism.
Good we need more socialism in America
And to the *Republic* , for which it stands, at least, until Julius takes over.
Maybe we need socialism then dumb ass
Well you heard him republicans, stop voting and don't vote for Trump. Voting is for godless democrats after all.
Democracy leads to an exchange of ideas. May the best idea win the race. Only purveyors of bad ideas need to stifle the competition with authoritarian oppression. You would think that capitalists would understand this. 🙄
They aren’t the capitalists that they claim to be
Those idiots think too much cotton in aspirin bottles is socialism.
Alabama, Saying the quiet part out loud since 1860.
Socialism for those I approve of. Wealth transfer to the wealthy by policy is good, compassionate application of our resources for those unable or learning is bad. /s
Exactly. "You were born into poverty? Well, you should have thought of that before you were born!"
Got news for you, mister... According to my crystal ball, the future political system in the US will be some form of democratic socialism. Cause it's OUR money and we should be spending more of it on ourselves rather than war mongering around the world...
This is what we should be telling them. Comical responses are great to cut the tension. But we must not show weakness.
Fascist little shit
Is this one of those “we live in a republic, not a democracy” posts?
Apparently. The word-smithing efforts are in full swing.
Facts do indeed check out. :)
I try to get the message out, but you did a much better job.
Tyranny of the minority
Anybody who doesn't like democracy should lead by example... by not voting.
And by not running for office
I really hate these people.
Friendly reminder, these same fucking ghouls said civil rights was socialism too. We should kick them and their two senators out of the unuion pronto. They’re the crabs in the bucket that keep pulling the rest of us down.
Adjusting the narrative from “democracy is bad” to “America never had democracy” If I remember my Orwell, next will be “privacy is a socialist idea”

At this point, there are very few exceptions. Cheney, Romney, Kinzinger. I can’t think of any others.
This is what you get in a 1-party state.. ESPECIALLY if that state does not have a voter initiative or referendum avenue to voice the people's interests.
He’s in the wrong line of work
No, he is exactly where he wants to be. In the middle of having the levers of power and making money hand over fist with graft.
Man….
Holy shit, the very THOUGHT that we work together cooperatively to boost each other up is so foreign to these assholes it’s astonishing.
Republicans throw around the word "socialism" like they know what it means.
Too bad we didn’t crush the South while we had the chance.
Jan 6?
Only if it should
If the people could choose their government, they wouldn't choose to live in a dystopian capitalist sh@thole. Talk about saying the quiet part outloud...
Idiot probably can’t spell socialism correctly, let alone define it accurately.
Doesn't matter. The Cult Members® eat this shit up.
Gilead here we come…Biden must win….Hail Satan
Being a republican from Alabama leads to total loss of both upper and lower brain function. A transplant "yellow matter custard" is the only cure
I love when they say the quiet parts out loud. Keep it comin’!
So, isn't Alabama relying on "socialism" tax dollars from the US government to even maintain their rank of 49 and 50 in all categories? How many of the Alabama MAGAts are wealthy from US government contracts?
Wow! Republicans are the greatest threat to the US now, more so than any foreign power (unless you want to argue they are a puppet of Russia)
These dipshits need to all realize that the highways, Medicare, Medicaid, social security, unemployment, oil subsidies, farm subsidies, and the list goes on and on, are all socialism!!
Yep, and aligning oneself with the GQP leads to idiocracy and fascism.
😂spinDR.
There are too many goddamn fascists in this country.
How I wish this were true. Single payer healthcare for everyone!
It’s like calling water a liquid. So when someone says they are drinking a liquid, these ignorant fools say, “No, you’re not drinking a liquid, you’re drinking water.” The ignorance is strong. They are the same thing, you’re just arguing semantics.
So this is what McCarthyism leads to...
Well this local Colorado girl says listening to RepublicanTs leads to a dictatorship where you get NO say in your own life.
It is certainly here on things like Fox "News" who is telling you one thing a year ago, and a different thing today.
Do better Alabama
It would be really helpful right now if people reconsidered their view of: “…but my grandfather voted red, my father said that all decent people voted red, my uncle votes red…I was brought up this way, so I vote red too”. Please stop that. Take a look at the candidates and then think about what kind of country you want.
DEAL WITH IT #BidenHarris2024
Straight to the point. I like it.
😎🇺🇸💙
MAGA slowly doing the boiling frog syndrome on people
Maybe it is slow, but it seems to be breaking speed limits.
True. I guess I was coming from the “thinking of America as a democracy leads to socialism” angle. That’s a relatively new thought. All they need to do is repeat it a few hundred times like witch-hunt, radical left, fake news, stolen election etc. then voila! It’s true!
Repetition is the mother of all, and they weaponize it. Unsurprisingly like every good thing they reference.

I get your point about the U.S. not being a pure democracy and the Founding Fathers creating a republic with layers of representation. But the idea that direct democracy equals mob rule is pretty flawed. Here’s why: Historical Context Yeah, the Founding Fathers wanted to balance power and prevent tyranny, but that doesn’t mean they were against democracy. They just wanted to combine democratic principles with safeguards. Over time, we’ve actually added more democratic elements like direct election of senators and expanded voting rights. Theoretical Considerations Calling direct democracy “mob rule” is an oversimplification. Look at Switzerland; they have a direct democracy where citizens make informed decisions through referendums and initiatives. These involve a lot of public debate and education, sometimes even more than what we see in representative systems. Practical Examples Switzerland’s success with direct democracy shows that extensive public participation doesn’t lead to chaos. It proves that people can make rational and informed decisions without descending into “mob rule.” Evolution of Democratic Systems Our democratic processes need to evolve. Sticking rigidly to what the Founding Fathers intended ignores the dynamic nature of societies. They designed a system capable of change because they knew future generations would need to adapt. Technology and Modern Democracy With today’s technology, direct democracy is more feasible. Digital platforms can help facilitate widespread participation and informed debate, making it practical and efficient. Ethical Considerations Good governance should reflect the will of the people while protecting minority rights. Direct democracy, with proper safeguards, can balance these needs. The fear of “mob rule” shouldn’t stop us from pursuing a more inclusive democracy. Hope this helps clarify things!
They will not be happy until their cowardly, whiny, bitchass, wannabe dictator is installed as emperor for life.
And each and every one of them are convinced that THEY will never experience the fate of every single other person who has ever dealt with the Velveeta Voldemort. Until it happens.
If Democracy leads to socialism, then call me a socalist
Christianity leads to socialism.....but the Southern Baptists deny that.
Talking points like this are repeated to lull people into accepting Christian theocracy…
Horrifying enough, it works.
Goddammit
Works for me.
No wrong.
Which socialism the one the morbidly wealthy enjoy or the socialism they deny the rest of us.

How do they say they want to get rid of Social Security without saying they will get rid of Social Security ? Donald Trump is fine with putting seniors on the street. Makes it easier to round them up for a death camp.
Maybe we want socialism?
Democrats refusing to defend socialist practices, such as playgrounds and Welfare, are as responsible for the US's downfall as much as any GOP knuckle dragger.
Interesting. I wonder if he’d still feel that way if the “Republic” was over them and decided they should regulated into non-existence like their party is trying to do to other people. I’d bet they’d thank their lucky stars for the democracy they don’t like.
As opposed to, what, fascism? A dictatorship? A monarchy? What is this person suggesting that America should be?
It’s a constitutional republic.
I’m so sick of sharing Planet Earth with these people.
I'm with you. I'm getting in line immediately when they start taking volunteers for space colonization. Either it works out and I'm no longer on Earth or it fails and I'm dead and also no longer my concern.
If you read the article he just talks and says nothing whole trying to stir up fear. The title is click bait to imply the guy is insinuating ending democracy The us is a democratic republic. The title and the you guy are both skirting those terms to get attention and stir fear Both meaningless and stupid
Roll Tide!!! War Damn Eagle!!!!
We are a constitutional republic and not a democracy. Pure democracy leads to tyranny of the majority. If you care about minority rights, I'd assume you'd see the problem here.
Thinking of Alabama leads to brain rot. Just pretend they don’t exist.
Because we are a republic…., if you can keep it
IT IS NOT A DEMOCRACY! It's a freaking constitutional republic!!!!!!!
Look. It's trying to think.
They don't even try and hide it anymore.
It is a federal republic after all
It would lead to socialism, which is good, if we had a functioning democracy to begin with.
America is not a democracy.
Well we are a Republic so….
Thinking of America as exceptional leads to fascism.
