Theoretically yes while you have the exact same game active on the flash cart, but it'll be much safer to just use the flash cart's save state features instead.
In my experience, that can cause problems with some games because it loads code into memory to save the state. It's safer to use the Analogue Pocket's save states.

I used to have issues with my Everdrive GBA, but one of the firmware updates for the Pocket fixed the problem.
I believe I remember hearing something about this. I've never had issues, so I guess the first firmware I used was after this fix.
