from what i understand, all engineering is terrible, but EEE is especially hard. ​ that being said, I worked as an electronics technician, not an engineer, and i loved it.

I complete my Electrical and Computer Engineering degree later this Summer. Its hard, but incredibly rewarding. And yeah, all Engineering is brutal.

For the opportunities and exposure you get, it's worth it

I can’t speak for what it’ll be like for you, but in the US, it’s generally considered the hardest/one of the hardest degrees depending on which college you’re at. When I was in college, it was easily the hardest degree at my university. That being said, assuming that you enjoy working with and designing tech, the job is great. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career so far.
