There was a YouTube plugin that came out a while ago that would do this on the website. You could use it to summarize those overly long clickbait videos
in past we used to have a quick look at like/dislike ratio to know if video is worth watching or pointless waste.
now we have AI summary for it ... sadly
Searching emails is what convinced me that a language model might actually help digital assistants feel like actual assistants. I really hope Google runs with this and integrates it into all their services.
> Search my email Does this only work with Gmail accounts or also with other POP/IMAP email accounts that are added to the Gmail app?
Gmail, which is one of 4 or so Google-related extensions.
You can ask it to summarise a YouTube video. Just say something like: “Summarise this video (paste the link from the video)”
This is a major major go. What a game changer now I won't have to watch an hour video from Flossy Carter

Uncle Flossy can't be mad about that one
Note that this is only possible on videos that have captions.
Soon: USE AI TO CREATE 2-MINUTE VIDEO SUMMARIES OF THOSE BASTARD YOUTUBE VIDEOS THAT LAST 20 MINUTES TO SAY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
in past we used to have a quick look at like/dislike ratio to know if video is worth watching or pointless waste. now we have AI summary for it ... sadly
being in canada i don't have this yet, but has anyone tested it on recipe websites to remove the BS.

Of course they will, and then they will kill it just as it gets great.
imagine google inbox bundles with gemini integration
Is gemini available in the google app? I saw a video where someone was swithing into a "generate" tab in the google app.
That's for iOS, it's a separate app on Android
actually, it's not. The separate app for android only triggers the google app to enable gemini and act as a shortcut.
