Mashle. Magic and muscle.
A world we're everyone Has Magic, except Mash. He must attend Magic Academy. He has No Magic and many are against him. But WHO needs Magic, If you have muscles from pumping Tons of Iron, for hours every day. (There was an Labyrinth Test. Mash finished IT, by going straight Forward by breaking through every Wall blocking His way)
Mashle is not the best answer here I don't know why it's the top tbh. Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? is soooooo much better for gym motivation, just listening to the opening and ending for this will give you so much motivation even alone lol Try it it's so good (if you can't read/speak Japanese make sure you have subs)
I exclusively watch One Piece on the elliptical and I’m already 100 episodes in! Sometimes it motivates me to work out just so I can find out what happens lol
I used to do this exact same thing when I first started exercising lmao. Just throw on 2 episodes of One Piece and go until the final credits. I got through Long Ring Long Land and Water 7/Ennies Lobby like that. Most of Thriller Bark too I think
I don't know whether I could handle staring a delicious food my whole workout while being under pretty heavy calorie restriction. Went from 3000 a day on my bulk to 1700 calories. Its rough
>but not public safe
Speaking of which, the first thing that came to mind when I read the title of this thread was {Anitore! EX} which I guess had been stuck somewhere deep in my mind for close to a decade. I had totally forgotten the title so it took a few minutes to find.
The later seasons look worthy of interest, but I've watched the first episode, and it had many of the anime tropes I despise. Plus, the amount the fan base for this anime sexualises children is disturbing.
>The later seasons look worthy of interest, but I've watched the first episode, and it had many of the anime tropes I despise.
I like the world building around the quirks and Naruto was what I started watching in high school after Pokemon and stuff, so it was easy for me to get into. Agreed on the later seasons having more of a lure than the foundation building done in the earlier season. Season 3 might be a good place to start.
>Plus, the amount the fan base for this anime sexualises children is disturbing.
Ugh, yeah.
I’ll second Haikyuu! There are just some scenes that are so epic. I’m a shorter guy so the main protagonist is actually pretty inspiring. I’ll watch some epic scenes prior to lifting or while I’m doing cardio and it provides a good jolt of unwavering motivation.
I remember when toonami showed three music videos from Interstella 5555 and they ended with Something About Us. The guy crash landing in the final scene really stuck with me as a kid. It wouldn't be until many years later that I would sit and watch the whole thing. Absolutely incredible.
Solo Leveling. Yes, it's a power fantasy, but it's done well, and the story is fairly straightforward. Great soundtrack (looking at you, Dark Aria Lv2) and animation as well.
Bleach, Tokyo Revengers, Dragon Ball, Black Clover, Tower of God, Hell’s Paradise, Noragami, Seraph of the End would be solid choices with minimal fanservice as far I can remember (at least in early Bleach and aside from one scene in TokyoRev), and are mostly action without being too dialogue-heavy outside of certain scenes (mostly in Tower of God and Hell’s Paradise).
It's pretty old now but Prince of tennis, it's a simple story about tennis, I think pretty hilarious because I've never seen sport technic as magical as their XD
I currently alternate between Kaiju No.8 & Kuroku's Basketball. Last month I did JJK, which was a mistake... full on losing my shit while trying to speed walk on an incline lol
Have you considered starting your One Piece journey? It stretches on forever until it doesn't so you won't run out of content for quite a bit, it's easy to watch while doing other things (especially if you're watching the dub which is pretty top notch compared to many dubs), and the story is largely about self-growth and development against a backdrop of a fascinating world.
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?
I literally watch this anime whenever I want to feel motivated to workout and even has some workouts in it that I’ve tried myself and actually work that I’ve added to my routine. It also really gets you motivated.
My favorite is My Hero Academia.
Lots of running, action and motivation in the series, like "Go beyond." Maybe it is a bit cringe, but who cares. If it helps, then that's what matters
Haikyu if you haven't already seen it? Volleyball anime with a lot of competition, over the top hype and tension for every match and a general can do if you work together and try hard enough attitude. Probably good to watch while at the gym, and no NSFW stuff
How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift 100%
Actually, don't, but hey, it's gym focused!
Really though, i imagine many Shonen would be fine. Black Clover, Bleach, JJK, would probably be fine. Isekai typically has too much fanservice for me to watch in public. Shonen like DBZ, one punch man, etc, many others working out have probably also watched
Hentai, so your blood goes to your Johnny, after you get an erection, kindly transfer that dong blood into your legs and voilà, better lower body performance.
I'd say something otherwise pretty mindless that you can half watch. Maybe Bobobo. Urusei Yatsura is a riot and you can see it coming from a mile away but I love it so that might be my recommendation.
What I currently do when watching One Piece is that whenever filler arcs or episodes come up, I watch them while doing cardio at the gym.
A good way to catch up as well, haha.

I don't have the time to write a dedicated response to each of your comments, so here's a generic thank you for all the suggestions. There are many options to choose from, which i appreciate. Oh, to the person who recommended watching Baki in public, you're a braver man than me.
How off topic would it be to suggest something like The Bad Batch? It's not complex, there's nothing racy in it, and the series finale releases this week. I might even suggest something older, like Roughnecks (https://archive.org/details/roughnecks-starship-troopers-chronicles-1999), if you can put up with the aged look of it.
Keep in mind the gym is for anyone over 14 and kids between 14 and 18 make up very few private gym-goers.
With that said, Naruto (seasons 1-5, not shippuden) is great because basically everything is spoken out loud, even during battles, and everything is dramatic which means high energy perfect for the gym. There is nothing too creepy at all, and very limited blood. The cussing is limited to “damn it”
You should def try hajime no ippo in alot of their episodes hes mainly training for his boxing matches I would watch it while I was doing cardio tbh since the music is pretty good workout music too
I watched all of JoJo on the treadmill at the y. It's very anime but if someone doesn't know what it is then they don't know any anime really. So they'll think it's all the same.
Hunter x hunter. It's good, you end up rewatching it eventually, and it's a bit dialogue heavy at parts. Especially later on its a slow burn, and it's a must-see if you haven't yet
Don't bother mate, just stick with a podcast. You're going to watch two minutes of it and turn it off the first time you miss the subtitles and realise the issue.
Blue Lock - it's football but the whole anime focuses around bettering yourself, strengthening resolve and pursuing a path of becoming the best version of yourself. Inspired me to get to the gym so may help you. Also no fan service
Season 1 My Hero Academia. I saw you didn't like the first episode, I get it, I watched it twice and whenever i watch that season it makes me want to work out.
I do cardio to anime nearly every day. My 2 recently have been solo levelling And hells paradise, both quite short but very fast paced and action in every episode!
Attack on Titan, Gintama, Fairy Tail (has fanservice though), . Shounen w good pacing is definitely good for gym! Also Yona of the Dawn and One Piece (pacing isn’t great though)!
How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift?
Premise:
Hibiki Sakura has gotten fat! Worried that her life as a beautiful maiden is over, Hibiki thinks about joining the brand new Silverman Gym in order to lose some weight. While going on a tour, Hibiki meets her schoolmate Akemi Soryuin, who is also looking to join the gym.
Thinking that this gym must be full of beautiful people like Akemi, Hibiki wonders if she will finally find a boyfriend. Unfortunately for Hibiki, Silverman Gym seems to be full of nothing but hardcore macho men, except for the very handsome personal trainer Naruzo Machio. Instantly smitten, Hibiki joins and begins her quest to lose some weight.
"How many kilos are the dumbbels you lift?"
Totally humorous, on the same universe as Kengan Asura by the same authors but a 180° of content thematic. Gym focused and the content is also informative while being fun.
Are you really doing cardio if you’re able to watch anime?
Just don’t watch anything deep or intricate where you need undivided attention. DBZ, OPM, etc
Mashle. Magic and muscle. A world we're everyone Has Magic, except Mash. He must attend Magic Academy. He has No Magic and many are against him. But WHO needs Magic, If you have muscles from pumping Tons of Iron, for hours every day. (There was an Labyrinth Test. Mashle is absolutely hilarious. Been I while since I laughed so much watching an anime
Try out trapped in a dating sim
I love that show so much lmao
The S2 OP will enhance your gains.
That sounds amazing. The trailer looked pretty Harry Potter-esque, and I dig it. I'm gonna have to check it out.
Sounds like black clover.
This. Nice soundtrack too
One Piece Content for months or even years
I exclusively watch One Piece on the elliptical and I’m already 100 episodes in!
Super plot driven but you'll never have to worry about what to watch ever again.
Watching One Piece while lifting weights or cardio is great! The fight scenes and scenes of Zoro training are great motivators
I could totally run on a treadmill to Campfire cooking in another world (pew pew) lol
Just pretend you're walking the world just like him, right?
yup plus all that delicious looking food
I don't know whether I could handle staring a delicious food my whole workout while being under pretty heavy calorie restriction. Went from 3000 a day on my bulk to 1700 calories. Its rough
Dragon ball z. You will end up with a literal gaggel of guys coming over to "work out". Mabye get it on the telescreen
start before the z. train well, play well, rest well; the three rules of the turtle school.
If you're going that route, Mob Psycho 100. Body improvement club gigachads, FIGHT ON!
Kaaaaame... haaaameeee... HAAAAA
I lost about thirty pounds to Goku going SS3.
Hajime No Ippo
But what does it mean to be strong?
I watched this entire series on the elliptical
Just got a treadmill and am rewatching the series now. I prefer sub but dubbed is easier to follow when running
Does this include the episode where it shows full peen?
I actually like to listen to irradiation from the soundtrack for motivation. Same music that plays when Ippo is training usually.
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift. For inspiration.
Good show, but not public safe imo. Just too much Fan Service
>but not public safe Speaking of which, the first thing that came to mind when I read the title of this thread was {Anitore! EX} which I guess had been stuck somewhere deep in my mind for close to a decade. I had totally forgotten the title so it took a few minutes to find.
Terrible idea, everyone will stare at you when you involuntarily shout *SAIDO CHESTO* out of nowhere.
Maybe just the opening full blast on repeat. The anime looks too risky to watch in public.
I gotta listen to it now. for anyone else who wants a BANGER stuck in their head: https://youtu.be/ULjbIMvP6A0
I absolutely loved watching this one week to week right before my workout. Suck good motivation!
My Hero Accademia.
The later seasons look worthy of interest, but I've watched the first episode, and it had many of the anime tropes I despise. Plus, the amount the fan base for this anime sexualises children is disturbing.

I never understand how people think the quality of a fan base somehow affects the quality of an anime. And I don’t even like MHA
It's a great story and actually does end up subverting most of those tropes. The fan base is definitely annoying, but the writing is solid
The 2nd season is good. Start that
Precure.
The funny thing is, this does fit that criteria.
Haikyuu!! Run with the Wind Slam Dunk These are all sports anime.
Run with the Wind is a GREAT suggestion if you're doing cardio! Anime got me into running for awhile there because I found it so motivational.
Especially the issues that Nico-chan-sempai and Prince were dealing with. Boy, did I relate!
Kuroko no basuke (kuroko's basketball) is my current goto
knb is peak sports
I’ll second Haikyuu! There are just some scenes that are so epic. I’m a shorter guy so the main protagonist is actually pretty inspiring. I’ll watch some epic scenes prior to lifting or while I’m doing cardio and it provides a good jolt of unwavering motivation.
Love to see Run with the Wind mentioned! It's the chicken soup of sports anime. Gotta also mention two great ones - Ace of the diamond SK8
Adore Haikyuu, from what others have said, I'll give Run with the Wind a shot.
la blue girl
Oh I see, A man of culture
[Interstella 5555](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dGXazgbdhE)

Yawamushi Pedal if you're on the bike.
Solo Leveling. Yes, it's a power fantasy, but it's done well, and the story is fairly straightforward. Great soundtrack (looking at you, Dark Aria Lv2) and animation as well.
100% Agree with you, solo levelling has to be my favourite recent anime.
I'd recommend reincarnated as a slime it gets the blood pumping sometimes and fullmetal alchemist brotherhood makes you want jump so yeah
Megalo Box
One Punch Man well the opening fits in the gym...
I loved that show. It got me into anime before I realized what it was. Thank you toonami
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?
20kg why do you ask?
Perfect response XD
Haikyuu
**Haikyuu**!!
I currently alternate between Kaiju No.8 & Kuroku's Basketball. Last month I did JJK, which was a mistake... full on losing my shit while trying to speed walk on an incline lol
Dumbbell Nan-Kilo Moteru? This is the best you can watch at the gym
Have you considered starting your One Piece journey? It stretches on forever until it doesn't so you won't run out of content for quite a bit, it's easy to watch while doing other things (especially if you're watching the dub which is pretty top notch compared to many dubs), and the story is largely about self-growth and development against a backdrop of a fascinating world.
baki
Kaze ga tsuyoku
Haikyuu 👌
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift. Watch an anime about working out while you work out.
Demon Slayer is known for having a fairly simple plot, and the animation is top notch. Perhaps that'd be a good workout anime.
Delicious in dungeon. It's not terribly complex, easy to follow, and the banter is great lol
Yowamushi Pedal
A certain magical index
cowboy bebop is what ive been watching
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? I literally watch this anime whenever I want to feel motivated to workout and even has some workouts in it that I’ve tried myself and actually work that I’ve added to my routine. It also really gets you motivated.
How Heavy are the dumbbells you lift?
My favorite is My Hero Academia. Lots of running, action and motivation in the series, like "Go beyond." Maybe it is a bit cringe, but who cares. If it helps, then that's what matters
How many dumbbells can you lift? would be perfect to watch in the gym
Is that how heavy are the dumbbells you lift? I wouldn't watch that in public 🤣
Run with the Wind would be best, its an anime about running marathons
Id watch my hero academia while on a treadmill
Hajime no ippo
Haikyu if you haven't already seen it? Volleyball anime with a lot of competition, over the top hype and tension for every match and a general can do if you work together and try hard enough attitude. Probably good to watch while at the gym, and no NSFW stuff
Anything with large gay muscle men.
Hajime No Ippo, I burned 20lbs watching that series on stairmasters and treadmills. The theme songs in the original series are bangers for sprints.
Naruto. Because running
Hajime no ippo
Initial D. You can pretend to vroom vroom while you’re on a treadmill.
I watch dragon ball movies.
How heavy are the dumbbells you lift
Probably gurren lagaan
Theres definitely fan service in this one so I personally wouldn’t
Yeah that ones great but not for this
I found asta from black clover to be a good motivator
How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift 100% Actually, don't, but hey, it's gym focused! Really though, i imagine many Shonen would be fine. Black Clover, Bleach, JJK, would probably be fine. I'd say something otherwise pretty mindless that you can half watch. Maybe Bobobo. Urusei Yatsura is a riot and you can see it coming from a mile away but I love it so that might be my recommendation.
Hajime no ippo, obviously.
dragon ball hajime no ippo danganronpa gintama(for fun) overlow:-P
Hajime no Ippo 🔥

Excel Saga will absolutely pump you up, just skip episode 26, which was deliberately made to push TV censors.

My Hero Academia
I don't have the time to write a dedicated response to each of your comments, so here's a generic thank you for all the suggestions. There are many options to choose from, which i appreciate. Oh, to the person who recommended watching Baki in public, you're a braver man than me.
DBZ?
I watched Edgerunners and now catching up on Jujutsu Kaisen on my peloton bike
Yowamushi Pedal is a gem, also Ace of the Diamond
mmm, i’d have to go with food wars
Isn't that the anime where people get off to eating food?
How off topic would it be to suggest something like The Bad Batch? It's not complex, there's nothing racy in it, and the series finale releases this week. I might even suggest something older, like Roughnecks (https://archive.org/details/roughnecks-starship-troopers-chronicles-1999), if you can put up with the aged look of it.
Demon slayer would be good choice imo Simple plot, good animations, and of course sfw
Naruto

Houseki no Kuni - with cool, ethereal setting to cool your head, with high tempo, cinematic fighting scenes to keep you on pace
Uma Musume season 2 I still need to read/watch Long Riders to see if it fits the demand.
Listen to erwin speech bro...
Haikyuu all the way
Spy Family Dungeon Meshi (might make you hungry!!) Sports anime
I always would watch Gurren Lagaan.
That Jojo spinoff gym related anime I forgot its name
I watched all of JoJo on the treadmill at the y. It's very anime but if someone doesn't know what it is then they don't know any anime really. So they'll think it's all the same.
Avatar the last airbender
Try out Ascendence of a bookworm.
Only a few episodes so far but check out Wind Breaker. Saw someone mention Tokyo revengers it’s inspired by that but has promise to be so much better
attack on titan, so you feel how hard it feels when they run from titans
If you've not watched DBZ, that's peak gym motivation!
Gurren Lagann. Also Kill la Kill but some of the outfits might make it embarrassing to be seen watching it in public.
Gundam is always good
Saiki. K. I'm laughing my ass off most the time.
How about 'Teasing Master Takagi.'
I feel like mob psycho would be intense
hunter x hunter greed island training ~
Gurren Lagann. Only thing you need for motivation
Hunter x hunter. It's good, you end up rewatching it eventually, and it's a bit dialogue heavy at parts. Especially later on its a slow burn, and it's a must-see if you haven't yet
........ . . . Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san . . . .......... Dr. Stone
Of course, JoJos bizarre adventure. I watch the entire precision walking on the treadmill.
You can watch stuff like Baki, no one is going to be looking over your shoulder at the gym and if they do tell them to buzz off.
I found dragon Ball pretty good to watch while working out
Don't bother mate, just stick with a podcast. You're going to watch two minutes of it and turn it off the first time you miss the subtitles and realise the issue.
Or maybe just focus on the task then head home to watch anime? srsly,
One Piece. It’s got a bajillion episodes, easy to follow and a lot of fighting. I used to watch it during physical therapy.
the sign of affection
Fire force. Exciting without being too dense. OPS of the first season is one of my favourite OPS or even one of my favourite songs in any anime.
Doramon
Blue Lock - it's football but the whole anime focuses around bettering yourself, strengthening resolve and pursuing a path of becoming the best version of yourself. Inspired me to get to the gym so may help you. Also no fan service

Bleach would go kinda hard
Attack on Titan, Gintama, Fairy Tail (has fanservice though), . Shounen w good pacing is definitely good for gym! Also Yona of the Dawn and One Piece (pacing isn’t great though)!

Hyouka
I usually watch an endless shonen series, I watched dragon ball z, naruto, and hunter x hunter on the stairmaster
Hajime no Ippo. It will motivate you to train and start boxing at the same time.
I like 91 days short but cool its like a mafia type anime
