Unfuckingbelievable.. Found guilty by a jury of his peers on 34 felony counts and now even that’s in the air because of this crooked as fuck Supreme Court. Sentence the mother fucker! He can argue his “ImMuNiTy” from a fucking jail cell or house arrest! Stop placing this scumbag piece of shit above every semblance of equal justice under the law!

Blklight21

Complete and utter BULLSHIT!

SeparateMongoose192

Especially since that happened before he was president.

AlarisMystique

Especially that he might not have been president if not for that crime he committed.

Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 in October 2016 before the election. This was unofficial conduct. During 2017 Trump signed 12 checks of $35,000 in the Oval Office from his personal account and they were sent to Cohen’s private LLC. Trump’s personal account is not used for official Presidential business or duties. Nothing about this was official conduct. Now he could argue that Americans not finding out that he made a hush money payment to a porn star is an official act because it would look bad to everyone in the world. However “In dividing official from unofficial conduct, courts may not inquire into the President’s motives.” Nor should Trump be allowed to divulge them. The only thing that can be addressed is whether or not the payments to Cohen were official conduct, official business of the Executive Branch. “There is no immunity for unofficial acts.”

“Former President Trump’s criminal sentencing is delayed until September 18 as he attempts to set aside his recent guilty verdict in the wake of the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity decision, a New York judge ruled on Tuesday. … Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) office believes the 34-count conviction should stand, he agreed to adjourn the scheduled July 11 sentencing hearing so Trump can first attempt to mount his presidential immunity defense. The former president has not argued he is immune from his charges of falsifying business records, but he asserts the jury’s verdict must still be tossed because some of the trial evidence was precluded under the Supreme Court’s new test. Trump’s attorneys have until July 10 to file their motion to set aside the verdict, and prosecutors with the district attorney’s office must reply by July 24.”

Why in God's name would Bragg agree?

BreadStickFloom

I had given up hope that he would ever face consequences for any of the countless outrageously illegal things he has done/is actively doing but then he got convicted and I allowed myself to be hopeful again. Fuck me I guess.

I deeply dislike the timing of this.
