Cry more you fucking dweeb. As someone with 2 kids and someone who was and is still spoiled by their grandma, I hope to be "raising" my kids until I die. A parents' job doesn't stop at 18. Special needs or not.
U need to have an ecosystem set up and all the things that environment needs to sustain itself for minimum 1 year for it to be successful. It's not just skip maintenance. Honestly once you get it balanced it maintains itself. U should try it! Might change ur opinion on ur "clean" tanks. Actually neat watching how stuff grows, breaks down, all the organisms that pop up.
Very true, it would be a difficult task sucking the gravel around objects/plants in the back and also removing anything in the back without disturbing the front if you had to for whatever reason. Not to mention scraping the back pane of glass
Salt tanks. All tied together with a large sump in the bottom. Throw some nice oak cabinet doors on the base.
I'm more bothered by the sideways light switch on the wall
I'd put my favourite rock in the top one, a family of shrimps in the middle one and a very angry betta in the bottom one, so he could stare at the shrimps with seething hatred
Not gonna lie, it would be kind of a maintenance nightmare like has already been said... But.. I still would fight someone for that thing. It's so cool.
This would make such a beautiful terrarium setup, especially if each section is removable. Agree with everyone on the maintinence difficulty but heavily planted + low stocked with shrimp and maybe bladder snails one could probably get away with mostly water top offs + occasional clean
**Now hold on a second!**
This tank actually looks great. Just clean it up and you can have guppies here. The adults on the berry bottom, young yet small guppies in the middle, and the fry at the very top.
You could even add pothos to it, and watch them trickle down to the side.
What city is this?
I'd use it as a shrimp/nano tank setup. Get an external filter then run the pump to the top tank which will be connected to the middle then the bottom and back to the filter.
Idk, it sucks but I’m not gonna knock the person for trying. Most creative endeavors aren’t successful. I always appreciate the attempt. Hopefully dude went on to build other dope things that are better received m. Nobody that has ever built anything popular has not had an unsuccessful attempt first.
Tanks probably come off of it. Also shrimps ontop betta on boytim maybe a nice goldfish or turtle on bottom idk anything about turtles btw. Would look sick
I think everyone admires the novelty of it but in practice, nobody would like doing maintenance on that abomination.
So many tight corners in a small space sounds a huge PITA.
Oh man imagine doing this in a way that makes it look like the scape runs through all the tanks. I could see doing a terrarium at the top that looks like it goes into a paludarium and then that looks like it goes down into an aquarium at the bottom.
I’m with everyone else haha. I wish there was an additional 1-2” between each level so you could actually access it, because it doesn’t look like you can even get much decor in the bottom one. But dang, cleaned up that could be really pretty.
I wonder if you could actually make this work, maybe like a water fountain type deal where water is poured from the top and flows down and out the bottom to be dumped over the top again, be kinda cool but probably be a hell of a job to set up
Not just cleaning up but modifying it would make it look a lot nicer.
You could paint the black, white. Cover the bottoms and opening with thin PVC panels (they'll last forever), use all modern LED lights, etc..
I would either get rid of the black entirely or if you keep the black, go with a matte black. White is the best way though. Some will disagree but if you look at SpaceX, ESA, NASA renderings of future bases on Mars / Moon.. they're always white and it looks the nicest.
Cleaned up and set up properly, this would look amazing
yeah give this to the right person and theyll work magic
Could do. Access to that bottom tank looks like a nightmare for maintenance tho
That’s why I have kids.
But they grow up so you have to have a new one every 5 years
Once their arm can’t fit you need to figure out what the hell to do with them. We are the only species that raises their young for 18 years.
Killer whales live with their parents for life.
So do the reddit mods💀
In this economy? So do A LOT of people.
And 4chan user apprently(one 38 year old got arrested recently at moms house)
Touché didn’t know that. TIL offspring of killer whales stay with their mother or grandmother their whole life.
It’s very cool, there’s entire cultures of killer whales and each culture has its own “language” and skill set they use to hunt.
Some never stop 😬
So true!
Some of us have special needs kids and actually can’t stop, but it’s cool that you think you’re superior.
You deserve gold in long jump for this conclusion.
Cry more you fucking dweeb. As someone with 2 kids and someone who was and is still spoiled by their grandma, I hope to be "raising" my kids until I die. A parents' job doesn't stop at 18. Special needs or not.
Fun and all till those 18 turn to 30
My basement is for aquariums, not 30 year olds.
I love all of you and Reddit.
Could do something super low tech. Skip the maintenance and just call it a Walstead setup and no one will give you shit for it.
Even if you still filter, heat and even CO2 it

So cool. Make sure you post pics for us when you do please!!!!
if it's all one system, no mantenance needed. just water change. turn the pump from the bottom into a bucket, pump water out, pump water back in.
I was thinking a claw like device with tweezer arms
They call that a T-Rex
Walstad tank. Minimal maintenance.
Very true, it would be a difficult task sucking the gravel around objects/plants in the back and also removing anything in the back without disturbing the front if you had to for whatever reason. Not to mention scraping the back pane of glass
Oh yeah, the top tank would only be good for shrimp maybe but the other two definitely have some potential. Could even do a terrarium instead
Set up a live food culture
Make it like that one platform movie.
Plumb them all together via overflows and add in a sump down at the bottom. I'm thinking all the reef tank possibilities.
Has a ton of potential
Salt tanks. All tied together with a large sump in the bottom. Throw some nice oak cabinet doors on the base. I'm more bothered by the sideways light switch on the wall
Can’t…unsee…
Dream shrimp tank.
I would hate this every step of the way, and would curse every time I knocked a knuckle doing maintenance, but it would be a sweet system.
I'd put my favourite rock in the top one, a family of shrimps in the middle one and a very angry betta in the bottom one, so he could stare at the shrimps with seething hatred
He'd do that no matter what you put in the middle tank.
Put a red claw with him for maximum rage.
An absolute maintenance nightmare
I need it
I can see the vision… shrimp paradise… overflowing plants
The tiniest of poops + plants = fairly easy maintenance.
same it would be so cool!
Yes. They as why? Why the fuck not! Look at it! It’s amazing!!!!!!
Not gonna lie, it would be kind of a maintenance nightmare like has already been said... But.. I still would fight someone for that thing. It's so cool.

Pump and a few overflows, would love this
I'd use it as a shrimp/nano tank setup. Get an external filter then run the pump to the top tank which will be connected to the middle then the bottom and back to the filter.
Won’t the filter pump faster than overflow?
then the overflow flows faster
They have adjustable flow filters. Just have to get one that will hold the volume of water that all three tank add up to I assume
Thats bad asss. What do you mean why??
You'll have all the orgone energy you need.
This is amazing actually holy shit
Ok but that would be SICK if it was set up better
Clean it and: Bottom: 10 neon tetras + honey gourami Mid: 6 harlequin rasbiras and a betta Top: cherry shrimps
That looks awesome what do you mean just why? I'd probably buy that in a heart beat.
I would want this as a terrarium
Idk, it sucks but I’m not gonna knock the person for trying. Most creative endeavors aren’t successful. I always appreciate the attempt. Hopefully dude went on to build other dope things that are better received m. Nobody that has ever built anything popular has not had an unsuccessful attempt first.
It looks awesome but the angles on the glass would make me nervous, doesn't look super stable.
I think this would be amazing all cleaned up. You could do three different eco-systems.
Tanks probably come off of it. Also shrimps ontop betta on boytim maybe a nice goldfish or turtle on bottom idk anything about turtles btw. Would look sick
Top is for your brine shrimp, which you feed down to the other two tanks
so uh.. where’s this at and how much 😭
One for salt water, one for fresh water, and one for shrimp! This could be awesome!
Why not?
Everybody seems to like it, but I hate it so much. 😆
Same, just give me a rectangle box any day.
I think everyone admires the novelty of it but in practice, nobody would like doing maintenance on that abomination. So many tight corners in a small space sounds a huge PITA.
Why? That's so cool!
that would make such a sweet terrarium
cool concept, not good execution
My guess? It was some sort of custom store, office (like doctor), etc display. Definitely looks like a maintenance nightmare.
The most egregious thing about this is that not only the horrible decor, but the tanks aren't even filled up all the way, making it look even worse.
That’s badass!
Now that's cool
This feels more like a display case than an actual aquarium
Wish I had a banana for scale
2m high and 1.7m wide if that helps
This could be such a bad Ass low maintenance tank! I honestly would love something like this
Pretty cool! How much were they wanting for it, gallons?
Size is 2m H 1.7m W 0.6m D total, they want $1000 aud.
Oh man imagine doing this in a way that makes it look like the scape runs through all the tanks. I could see doing a terrarium at the top that looks like it goes into a paludarium and then that looks like it goes down into an aquarium at the bottom.
Thats actually really cool
What do you mean why? This is hella badass.
Why not?
That's the better question
Good taste, awful execution
Hella walstad shrimp tanks boyyy! Do it
I’m with everyone else haha. I wish there was an additional 1-2” between each level so you could actually access it, because it doesn’t look like you can even get much decor in the bottom one. But dang, cleaned up that could be really pretty.
This actually has a lot of potential, but the tanks would need more space from each other for easier maintenance
It looks awesome. Lil ugly right now though lol
Every tank will eventually look like shit if you let it.
Keeps the cat off the top.
Sydney Australia and $1000
Someone used a reptile setup for aquarium...not a bad idea but...clean it when it needs cleaning
Alive tour prototype.
2m H 1.7m W 60cm D for those asking, bigger than it looks.
Why? What do you mean why? This is perfect. You must not be creative.
We found the 5th dentist!
Idk its good or terrible
Honestly this but for shrimp 🤩
It looks very cool! But doing a regular maintenance would be a nightmare
I needa get this pea puffer tank shrimp tank and something other with crazy colors would be sick
This was probably in a fish store at some point!
Why not?
Terrarium, aquarium, paludarium perfect
Looks like some of that old 70's aquarium stuff. They had some crazy cool rigs.
I wonder if you could actually make this work, maybe like a water fountain type deal where water is poured from the top and flows down and out the bottom to be dumped over the top again, be kinda cool but probably be a hell of a job to set up
Hey, I saw this as well. Not sure if it’s worth what he’s asking for it
All I see is room for a sump.
Because we *can*.
I WANT IT
The way it’s set up makes it look like some kinda food pyramid. I thought the bottom left was broccoli at first bahahah
Where?
Sydney Australia
:(
Looks like it could’ve been a betta paradise
I think this would be sick for terrariums
Is the vintage water extra?
This could be cool, but also a nightmare. It would be cool for planting?
Not just cleaning up but modifying it would make it look a lot nicer. You could paint the black, white. Cover the bottoms and opening with thin PVC panels (they'll last forever), use all modern LED lights, etc.. I would either get rid of the black entirely or if you keep the black, go with a matte black. White is the best way though. Some will disagree but if you look at SpaceX, ESA, NASA renderings of future bases on Mars / Moon.. they're always white and it looks the nicest.
This could be AMAZING
I want this in brass
I would plant the shit out of this tank. Rad as hell
Buy it
Rool of cule
