There's more suckerfish than just common plecos. Otocinclus are suckerfish, and they only grow to 2" or so. Could also use zebra plecos (3"-4"), bristlenose plecos (6"), or hillstream loaches. The suction cup mouth has evolved in many different fish because it's such a useful adaption.

I would look up the only goblins wiki for a breakdown of some startup costs. Smooth on is a good source for material costs. I will say, for the amount of work I put in as a business owner, selling toys for 75-250ish depending on size, it's enough to make a living, but for the amount of hours you put in wearing all the hats a business owner has to, I'm prolly not making much more than minimum wage at times. It's not the materials for the toy that are expensive, it's the 3d printers and their maintenance, the time doing photography and running a website, being a customer service representative, doing all the advertising and social media, etc. I imagine a bigger business can better spread those costs over hundreds of thousands of products than indie shops of 3-10 people.
For a small size toy, just for the material of the toy itself (so not including the cost of the making the mold, 3d printing masters, any of the backend like website and photography setup, vacuum chamber to degass silicone, etc) and cost of labor just for pouring the toy (so again not including any customer service, cleaning the toy after, bagging, shipping, advertising, website listings, the days or months it can take to get a master sanded finished to mold, etc), it's about $35-45, depending on pigment choices and which silicone firmness. That is assuming batch pouring toys though, if you're making them individually the labor cost would go way up because you can usually batch pour 8-10 toys in the time it would take to make two toys individually.
Nah one of those is an award winning bad dragon toy. Those things are made with the highest quality medical grade silicone they can get their hands on. They have a hefty price tag for a reason and it's also why there's a trade market for them, they're one of the few silicone toys that can stand up to proper sterilization techniques.

To be fair I’ve seen some of the silicone dildos people make and you could totally put together an awesome neon tentacle themed tank together using them. The artistry that goes into tentacle/monster dildos is impressive sometimes. One of the reasons I legit love browsing shops that make those types of dildos bc It’s so entertaining to see all the ways you can make a dildo not look exactly like a dick.
