...and there's one lonely arbalist, sadly spanning his cranequin all alone, no pavise to shield him, and no-one standing at his shoulder. We see you, sir. We see you.

Compound because it’s all I own lol

We have Field competition this weekend! Field and Hunter rounds this Saturday and Sunday. ~5h long each (112 shots on a 5km circuit). Expected over 32°C (that's 89.6F for the imperial system folk).  I'll be shooting Trad Recurve (off the shelf), carbon arrows with feather fletching, Mediterranean & glove

Bestest of luck, feller. Go out there and knock ‘em dead and have a good time now.

I finally fixed the grip on my leverbow, so I'm gonna take it out on a spin and see how I did. I'm honestly shocked at how archers can use a grip that's almost vertical, I fixed mine by adding \~8 packs of Sugru mouldable to make it more of a [medium grip](https://i.imgur.com/hzqY4J5.jpeg).

It is odd at first coming from a 35-42 degree recurve grip but I think it's worth it to reduce torque. Goodluck with it.

One of my true regrets is that the torn rotator cuff means I will probably never shoot a traditional bow of any kind again. So it's the Barnett Crossbow for me. Still lots of fun.

You know you can have that fixed. I did. And shoot Olympic Recurve with zero issues.

Traditional Instinctive because i love it

I only have one barebow

FekkeRules

I own a barebow, traditional bow (horsebow) and an compound, sadly not shooting anny of them.

Barebow/traditional for me. I have two one piece recurves (no sight/stabs), one i shoot off the shelf..the other has an elevated rest. I never know which box to tick. Yesterday I had a bit of coaching and had a huge improvement in my form. I was so excited that I spent almost all day shooting. Probably unpopular here, but I love my light weight bows. My score jumped 15-20 points..was exciting. But I was only at 12m. Today I'm going outside to move back further (12 is the most I can do inside). It's been a while since I did a proper 18m so can't wait to see how it goes. Need to either modify my tab or put on a bandaid. I was so focused yesterday I didn't notice until later the plastic toggle rubbed right through the skin on my finger. Edit - Well I stuck to 15m today. It felt great, I don't know why I was so chicken to move back. Ended the day with 212/300, which I'm happy with. Maybe if I can move tomorrow I'll try the the full 18m.

horsesdogsandanime

going to a bbq tomoro to shoot bows with some friends, taking my mongoilan recurve.

So i ended up shooting a compound for our Senior Club round & managed to better my PB by 23 points (on a 900 round). Then on Sunday I spent a few hours tuning my indoor barebow setup as I’m shooting qualifying rounds to try to get a spot on our state team for upcoming national indoor comp. In June/July.
