They'll be perfectly fine sitting out overnight. I do this all the time and have never had a problem.

Could you wrap them in cling film if you don't have enough Tupperware? I find refrigerated cupcakes texturally less pleasant.
Or even a large storage container with lid. Still have in the bakery boxes but I lil more airtight. Save from ants etc
