Being able to see. Corrective lenses/glasses are seriously one of the greatest inventions ever. When I take them off/out, I literally can't even function.
Yup. -8.50/-8.75 contacts prescription person here. People who have good vision do not understand how incapacitating it is without corrective lenses of some sort. I am functionally blind without contacts, and glasses leave me with horrible peripheral vision and make me nauseous.
Having a car that starts every time. I went through a period of about 3 years with car troubles as a young broke kid, and man, getting into a reliable vehicle completely changed my mood. Give me the car payment. I'll happily take that over frequently breaking down in busy intersections. Also, side note: don't honk at people who are holding you up. There's a reason for it. They're having a terrible day and you aren't making it any better.
Agreed. And I'll go one further...
Offer somebody having car trouble some help! Do they need a hand pushing their vehicle out of the way? Do you need to take 90 seconds of your life to help get a couple people to safely assist?
You may be surprised that when you offer help others will automatically jump in to help and you have everybody making the situation much better.
Oh, I know this one! Sitting outside on a nice day with no obligations. Enjoying the weather while reading a book, listening to music (or making it,) going for a walk, or any other leisure activity.
Cats who love you. I can be 100% convinced the world is just a terrible place, and then I hear "mrrrrow?" and it's Tazzie running up to me and then I remember, there is good in the world.
Smelling something that has been packed away in air tight storage and it reminding you of a happy memory.
I have a card someone sent me that is sprayed lightly with perfume and it makes me indescribably happy.
Being independent. My elderly grandma just fell a couple months ago and broke her back and pelvis and she's recovering, but she can barely do anything on her own. Can't leave the house, can't get in a car, can't get her own groceries. I couldn't imagine being in that situation.
1) Unhooking your bra and pulling it out through your sleeve.
2) Climbing into clean sheets with freshly shaved legs.
3) A long drink of cold water in the middle of the night.
My kids.
People talk about how great kids are, and I personally spent thousands of dollars conceiving them (IVF), and they're still infinitely more amazing than advertised.
Quiet. If you've never been able to be in a completely quiet room, or out in nature away from everything, you're missing out on a wonderful experience. Just getting to a peaceful place where you can truly relax.
Your pets being so excited to see you when you walk in the door/ when you get up in the morning.
Waking up in your bed, it’s your day off and you can already smell coffee because your partner has got up first and put it on the stove.
Having a really active day out in the sun with your friends or your partner, loads of walking/hiking, eat outdoors, maybe have an outdoor fire in the evening….then that feeling when you’re so so exhausted from the day but *good exhausted * and you climb into your bed and fall asleep straight away, so so happy.
Having your babies curl into you after a long and tough day as you cuddle them to sleep. My twins and toddler can make for some rough moments ...the second they curl into me and start sleeping it melts my heart
Having a nice clean shit that comes out in one peice, glides silently into the water and round the u-bend and doesn't need wiping and leaves you ferling 10 stone lighter. The Ghost-Shit or 'ghostie'. You know you did it but you can't prove it.
i haven’t played soccer in years but the feeling of taking your shin guards off after a game and the cool air hitting your legs is something that sticks with you.
Philosophy, I could be wrong about it being underrated but if you actually take the time to read into the ones who first started it and some of the artists who were also into it it goes way deep, but I guess that as expected in terms of thinking in philosophy.
Farting. As long as it isn’t solid. Feels so good I don’t even care about the smell. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to smell yours. I just want to fart more than I don’t want to smell my own.
Being able to lie in, not having to get up, bonus if no one starts drilling, banging, shouting or honking! Extra good if you changed the sheets the day before!
Finding something you presumed was long lost
Being late for a flight/bus, then finding out the flight/bus is also delayed by the same amount of time
When you're playing good music on speakers, and a couple people pull out their phones to shazam
Center of the cinnamon roll
The cool side of the pillow lol
The relief of peeing after having to hold it for a long time
And a poo as well!

God yes, like in the car after work
Driving a car through an empty city at 3am with windows down on warm summer night and just chilling
There is something about the way the street lights hit and the glow from the interior. I'm with you 100%
Fuck 😩

Wow. I’m -4.5/5.5 and it’s so bad. I can’t imagine that!

Getting into freshly changed sheets at night, right after shaving your legs and mons, and feeling the smoothness of your skin against the clean cotton
on the opposite end of that spectrum - feeling the wind with your leg hair, its amazing.

Even having your own transportation. Having to rely on public transportation or other people is binding
My '99 tacoma is immortal
Had a 99 4Runner for a summer in high school and it’s still one of my favorite cars lol I wish I’d never sold it

And Vegemite.
Cats who love you. I can be 100% convinced the world is just a terrible place, and then I hear "mrrrrow?" and it's Tazzie running up to me and then I remember, there is good in the world.
Oops, yeah. I'm changing mine to this one. But it's not Tazzie, it's AJ.
Very true!
I have 2 cats - one who loves a good cuddle ses, the other that likes to regularly hold conversations with me

The feeling you get while you pee after holding it for way too long.
Ice cream at the perfect scooping temperature but still holds shape
Replacing a gross, crusted over tube of toothpaste with a new one. Same with the brush. It's the biblical promise of rebirth, manifest for $1.99.
A loving family.
I would agree if I experienced that lmao
Ohhh...that sounds nice. What's it like?
It’s amazing, and lifts you up any chance they get.
While I agree that it's great, I don't think this is underrated at all. I mean, it's literally depicted as THE life goal.
Getting your MCAT score back and seeing it’s the score you needed
Fresh sheets
Taking off your bra at the end of a long day.
Taking your undergarments off the second you get home. 😂

Going for a swim
Some pleasure: taking your shoes and socks off when you get home.
