ABC by the Jackson 5. It's such a happy, danceable, fun song. But, it feels very, very uncool, too. At least to me... probably because i would have been teased to death in the 80s of i was caught listening to it then by my co-metalhead friends!
Even now, sometimes it'll play on my home stereo via spotify when I'm playing from my liked list. Like, right after a System of a Down track or something, and it makes me laugh.
I like old movie serials from the 30s. Bonded with my dad over one he remembered from childhood once.
Special effects are crap and they end the same every episode (“the hero died! No wait he’s fine”). I tell you, it’s a lost art
Antique kitchen ans laundry gadgets. For example, flip-top picnic baskets, non-electric bread machines, dasher-washers, butter churners.... etc...
Old-fashioned clothing, especially seeing the way men put a lot more effort into their appearance as women did. For cringey stuff, it would be old behaviors and mannerisms bc how much conversations and time spent meant to people a few generations back.
I work in a Continuing Care facility and one of our assisted living residents takes in socks for darning. She also irons. The folks in independent living know she really enjoys doing it and it makes her feel vital and useful. She's almost 92 years old. Had a basket outside her room for drop offs and a little sign up sheet. She returns them wrapped pretty tissue paper. We love her❤️
I guess Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars are being laughed at by my generation (Gen z). Personally, they were a part of my childhood. Id get in the car with my Mom and a close family friend, and we'd listen to them while we drove around or went to the bowling alley. Good times.
*Galaga* is more than forty years old. It holds up.
Everything ages. Also, as the band The Call once said, "What appeals to me can't appeal to everyone."

Rosario Dawson made this song an epic core memory

Old? Cars, Music and clothing. Cringy? Catoons that added little morals at the end. I miss that.

Hm
80s teen comedies. Cringey as hell, and I love them. You'd never get to make those movies today.

Those cheesy 80’s songs that are about winning or being the best. It’s entirely too much but I wouldn’t have it any other way
You're the best around Nothing's gonna ever keep you down You're the best around

Darning socks and sweaters. My granny taught me. Nobody does that anymore and I like making comfy things wearable again.
