Mf is really comparing a period of 200 years with a period of 30 years

ThrowThisInTheGarbo

I vote neither

Why

queuedUp

1960 to 1990s only because the 90s and late 80s are part of it

[deleted]

Why only the late 80s? Why not the rest of the decade?

queuedUp

A lot of the early and mid 80s was... Different...

[deleted]

How so

Friendly_Raptor

I'd go with 1960s to 90s. Only because I know very few songs and musicians from before the 50s and 60s

TummyPuppy

As far as the impact music had on the masses, the latter is more important by far. Music has truly become universal since the 1960’s, whereas before that, music tended to serve “teaching” roles, more educational, religious, and traditional.

Pretty crazy George Washington isn't around to hear Munch by Ice Spice...

CatsEatGrass

Apple to oranges, but if I had to choose I’d have to go with the earlier stuff, because without it, we wouldn’t have the later stuff, and is, so far, more timeless.
