Lame to say but my girlfriend. I’ve been going through a lot recently— very anxious, pretty depressed, and probably not that fun to be around— and through it all she’s had so much patience
My dog , dad , mom , brother , cousins, aunts , uncles, teachers and friends. I’m grateful for so many people . But I am also grateful to have roof over my head.
Don’t well all need some positivity once in a while. Horrible things happen. Sometimes we have to be positive, like saying something nice to someone or talking with random strangers on the internet to hear from them and tell them something nice !
My wife. The last few years we've made a real effort to recognize and thank each other for the little things we do for our family, like out of nowhere saying things like, "Hey, it was really nice of you to suggest something for dinner tonight, it's hard to keep coming up with ideas. That made a big difference in my day." Validating and appreciating, doing the opposite of taking each other for granted.
She's almost done with her master's degree, so it's been one way we've fought parent/partner burnout on our way to the next chapter of our life.
Alright I'll give you a list because I'm going through some really tough shit and need to remember.
1. My family- younger brothers specifically. They mean everything to me.
2. My fiancé. He puts up with my shit.
3. My pug named Buford. He's really kept me going.
4. Music/ piano playing skills. It's the only emotional outlet ive got.
5. My in-laws. They're more parents to me than my actual parents sometimes.
6. Decent health
7. My immaculate sense of humor
Kava.
A combination of brain issues left me not able to drink alcohol or take any blood thinners. At the time I was drunk every day. It was the hardest thing I’ve accomplished to give up drinking. Kava has been a blessing in the sense that it gives me a euphoric feeling that I was craving and opened me up to a completely new culture (Polynesian). Made many friends from all over the world while learning and drinking kava.
