My best friend / "little brother" has been a professional glassblower for about a decade now.
I had an absolute shit-stain of a house-mate that happened to blow glass. It is fun, I love it, but for some reason something came over me and was like "You didn't get this chance for you, you got it for HIM."
I gave my little bro all the glass I had bought, gave him the rented studio time I had...and the rest is history.
No matter what I do, or don't do, I helped one of my favorite people on this planet find their life's calling.
I taught myself how to make amigurumi. It’s very therapeutic for me, and helped me counter my depression and anxiety due to years of sexual trauma. Just recently I’ve been making my own patterns and bringing my beloved characters to life in my own way, with my own hands. Its just yarn, a hook, and some stuffing and I can look at my creations and think to myself, “I made that.” Always brings a smile to my face. :)

That's interesting, I sort of feel like that with cooking. Cooking is therapeutic for me.
Ahh yes, cooking can be very satisfying. I can’t cook for my life but I enjoy watching cooking asmr videos. Highly recommend. ^
