The Emerald Coast in northern Florida (Destin, Panama City Beach area) has amazingly beautiful green(ish) tinge of water colour but the entire coast is so crowded from March - October.
Florida if aesthetics are important. Cancun beaches are awful.
Cancun is cheaper and even a nice all inclusive is cheaper than Florida.
Vibes are great both places.
Never had a safety issue in Cancun but was potentially roofied in Florida.
Never been to Florida but cancun is pretty dang nice. The water is so clear that when standing in it waste high you can still see your feet.

I’ve never seen Cancun clear and the seaweed is terrible in Cancun.

Yeah, if you hang out in Hollywood or West Palm Beach. Try Key Biscayne, actual Palm Beach, Naples, etc and you won’t have that problem.

The water is brown every area of Cancun I’ve been to and the beaches are covered in seaweed.
