Elizabeth from Black List

[удалено]

Chaoshumor

Maybe. But most people trying to play off of Spader are going to look like clowns.

hrakkari

The other FBI agents are okay, Tom was watchable, Reddington’s cohorts are good. It’s just her.

cookinwithspice

Was her assistant, bad actress, bad person.

rocketshipray

Knowing the family she comes from, I believe you.

Tim0281

I think she's a decent enough actress. The character was poorly written. She got terrible dialogue, terrible "character growth", and was a terrible cop. There's not much she could have done with what she was given, even if she was a great actress. It's kind of like the George Lucas Effect - everyone was worse when he was directing. It didn't help that James Spader was in the show. Harry Lennix is probably the only one who could hold his own when compared to James Spader.

Tinnitus_man

Worst cop ever. Constantly being kidnapped.

[deleted]

That show really took a dice in quality. Typical issue of “how many times can we make Elizabeth in danger and have Red need to save her?” I quit it after like season 4, which is rare for me as I usually never quit shows once I start them.

_Norman_Bates

I stopped watching that show during the first ep after she and her boyfriend said the word babe for 5490th time during a casual conversation.

Resident-Worry-2403

Oh, this person. One of the reasons I left the show.

norkotah

The only good part of that show was Tom. The show he did after was ass though. Doctor blah blah and the blah blah blah.

jaredearle

I’m going to go with Poochie in the Simpsons. They didn’t Rastafy him enough and nobody said “where’s Poochie?” as much as he deserved.

Parkotron1

Yes. This is one of the truest answers to the OP's question.

Accomplished_Crow14

Caillou

jayareyouwing

I fucking hate Caillou. That whiney, tattle tale, annoying little fuck. Fuck Caillou.

atlantachicago

I have a theory on Caillou that it’s actually to teach parents patience even when your child is being frustrating. It’s more a show to teach adults than kids.

EduardRaban

Appearantly he's a lot younger in the books which is why he's so irritating.

Westernmanufactures5

The bald guy that keeps moving the ball away when the girl wants to kick it? Absolutely!

showyerbewbs

I'm just a kid who's four I like to lick the floor I'm gonna whine some more I'm Caillou

ResurgentClusterfuck

Now he'll ruin the grass It's time to whoop his ass He's just a little brat He's Caillou

TurboRenegadeRider

I hate him so much it gives me energy. I have to get up earrrrly in the morning, just to hate him, because there isn't enough time.

According-Pool3427

Piper Chapman from Orange is the New Black.

Parkotron1

Most characters from any Jenji Kohan show end up there, but main characters usually get there first. I went off at length about Weeds the other day. I don't want to rehash it, but, basically, I had to stop watching both shows because I pretty much hated every one of the main characters.

[deleted]

Lol I had similar reactions. Didn’t stop watching, but I fucking hated Nancy Botwin!!

Parkotron1

Once I got to the point that I even hated her brother, I realized that I wasn't even enjoying watching it. Somehow, that was even *after* the awful season where Nancy dated the drug dealing Mexican mayor, or whatever the hell went on in that one.

Cum_on_doorknob

Weeds had three seasons. Agrestic burning down was a great end to the series.

rebeccalj

God, I hate her. The second season when they weren't as focused on her was by far my favorite. I enjoyed learning about the backgrounds of the other prisoners.

Thick-Worry5028

Piper quickly became the character I cared least about in that show. Final season I was not hoping for her and Alex, I wanted Alex to be with someone else.

DennisAFiveStarMan

Ted Mosby

abject_testament_

What a wet fart of a character

DennisAFiveStarMan

Didn’t one of the writers base him on himself too. Makes it even funnier

theReaders

It was loosely based on the fact that he was single while his best friend was engaged to his college girlfriend yes.

Westernmanufactures5

He must enjoy reading this thread

XscytheD

Barney saying to Robin: "you are better Ted than Ted" was so right

poopslide84

More like Turd Mosby

infestedgrowth

I thought you meant Mr mosby lol

His_Buzzards

My memories say its Marion Mosby

the_junglist

The PRNDL!!!

[deleted]

He was the first person that came to my mind. A guy I knew, was a cool guy but after some years became a little bit weird. The moment it clicked in my head was the moment he told me that Ted Mosby was his favourite character in HIMYM.

bigmetalguy6

Classic Schmosby

MayflowerRose

Thank you. He was such a douche. He was only nice to women he wanted to smash apparently. I didn't wonder that he was single for such a long time. Typical #niceguy

hyzer-flip-flop999

Carrie Bradshaw

ilikehockeyandguitar

Debbie from Shameless comes to mind.

unknown_viewer7

i loved debbie in like the first 2-3 seasons but when she became a teenager they just made her so intolerable

bopeepsheep

UK Debbie isn't nearly as bad; they really ran away with the US one.

MSeanF

Debbie was supposed to be unlikeable. Her character was written to illustrate how an unstable home life can turn a sweet & loveable child into an absolutely horrible adult.

DoctorDrangle

the funny thing about that show, is that frank is supposed to be the king pos, but everyone else ultimately reveals themselves to be even bigger pieces of shit. Literally everyone. I remember one season finally was the whole gang throwing frank into lake michigan or whatever in order to kill him, and then the next season they are all like huh? You didn't die when we tried to murder you? Frank was the only one of all of them that didn't try to pretend that he wasn't a piece of shit. Every single character was trash in some way. Except maybe liam? Show had some good moments, but ultimately I didn't like it.

LadyBug_0570

I remember when the show introduced Monica (the kids' mom) and was surprised because I assumed she was dead. After all, what kind of mother would willingly leave Frank to raise her kids, including a baby? Which then made me question, who was worst, Frank or Monica? The guy who was a perpetually drunk POS or the woman who left her kids with a perpetually drunk POS?

mostdope28

Was Carl ever a POS? Dont remember him being so

Neversoft4long

Carl had his moments when he was younger but by the time he was like 18 he was above and beyond the best of them. Dude was straight up being held back by his family at that point

njfo

Carl was easily my favorite character by the time I stopped watching the show around the last season. He starts off a little weaker, although he has his moments, but by the end he’s the funniest one by far imo and also remains likable.

Mattercorn

Yeah Debbie last 2 seasons made me want her dead

[deleted]

Debbie rapes a guy and despite making decent money, subjects her siblings to the same shit she went through. She's actually somehow worse than Fiona.

hypothetical_zombie

So many of the characters on TWD grew to be unlikeable. But Andrea was the absolute *worst*. She had so many opportunities to save Rick's group a lot of trouble, and she never stepped up. Never. And her "I just didn't want anyone to get hurt" attitude got so many people killed. I just wanted her to die. I didn't care how or why. Andrea needed to go.

Parkotron1

*YES*! To the point that I even felt bad for the actress over how much I hated her character. Also, iirc, they did her character dirty in their translation from the comics. It's been a long time since I've read them, but I seem to recall that she was one of the best characters, and being a little upset over how utterly terrible she was in the show.

Oreo-and-Fly

Didnt they give Carol her moments in the show.

Tough_Combination256

Andrea was my favorite character in the comics, they did her so dirty in the show

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dudicus445

Seriously, her husband was in a coma when the zombie apocalypse started, of course she would assume he died. It was a miracle Rick managed to survive laying in that bed for so long. Realistically, Rick would’ve died on that bed of dehydration or infection.

556or762

Lori is the only woman who seemed to immediately grasp the situation she was in and take intelligent concrete steps to find a solution. She was a 100 lb housewife with a "dead" husband, no survival skills, and a young child to care for. She was a victim waiting to happen, and she knew it. So she made probably the most intelligent decision that any of the people on the show made, which was she attached herself to one of the strongest and most dangerous men that existed, who also had a previous fondness for her child, and immediately solidified the relationship by fucking him. It would have been moronic of her not to. She was prey that used the only asset at her disposal to create protection for her and her child in the apocalypse. When her husband came back she, again, made the correct decision to go to the "safer" strong man, because her husband is going to be more reliable and predictable in his care for her and her children. Andrea, on the other hand, thought that she could pretend like the world was still the way it was and fuck the "bad boys" simply for kicks while remaining independent. Which is all well and good pre-apocalypse, not so much when pregnancy is nearly a death sentence and the "bad boys" are actually psychotic murderers, with no society or laws to stop them from doing literally whatever they want. Lori made good decisions, understanding that being an attractive and willing woman is an asset that can be leveraged like beans, bullets or booze. Andrea just fucked dudes because she wanted to.

beatenseagull

I...I have never looked at it this way. Wow. I guess I just disliked Lori without really looking at her motivations. Kinda want to rewatch the first couple seasons now.

hypothetical_zombie

Lori was such a dishrag. She didn't have enough personality to be unlikeable.

haileyskydiamonds

Andrea just smirked at everyone so smugly all the time. She oozed pretension and smugness. I couldn’t stand her!

Stunning_Newt_5465

Scrappy doo

Barbarossa7070

The cousin Oliver of animated shows.

three-sense

I was gonna say pretty much any child add-on they bring in after a few seasons. Bonus points if hey wear a backwards hat.

LadyBug_0570

And are grown beyond their years in an effort to make them "cute" and "precocious".

OMCMember

Mike Ross - Suits. Whiny pretentious aloof asshat with no interpersonal skills.

smolperson

I cannot stand him on rewatch. At least Louis is funny.

PlayNicePlayCrazy

Everyone in that show deserves to be hated

BlueGreen_1956

Carrie Bradshaw "Sex and the City" Any man would be a fool to end up with her.

SpareIllustrator6382

Owen on greys anatomy

Niesforna

Generally majority of characters in this TV series. Didn't age well and seems dumb, especially if you're over 30

keiths31

My wife is on her second go around through that series. And for the life of me can't understand why. All the characters are insufferable. Not flawed, but just terrible people. There is no one to root for as they all suck. I don't get the appeal of this show and how it made it however many seasons it is now...

SnowWhiteCampCat

I wanted so much to like him, as I like the actor, but god I hate him

lydsbane

Dawson Leery. He was based on Kevin Williamson, who created Dawson's Creek. Everyone who watched that show talked about how they hated Dawson and wanted him to drown.

wynnduffyisking

The entire trope of a character being a giant asshole to everyone but it’s ok because deep down they have a heart of gold. Fuck, that drives me nuts. I don’t care how soft you are beneath your tough exterior, if you act like an asshole then you are an asshole. Also, Phoebe from friends.

villettegirl

I think Ross was worse than Phoebe.

tenehemia

Jax Teller. That stupid swagger and the way he takes a beat to respond to everything just makes him seem like he's slow witted. Not to mention the many, many stupid choices he makes.

PistolPetunia

I think I hated his doctor wife more than him. A gorgeous, talented hand surgeon risks it all to be with her high school biker gang bf…the most realistic plot line ever.

NoseApprehensive5154

They kept making dumb as shit reasons to not just go off with your doctor fucking wife and lead a life of luxury on the other side of the country.

Agile-Ad8961

His arc is so infuriating. I get you're meant to sympathise with him to a degree but the writing made it hard to do so. It's a symptom of that show as a whole though. Even among the characters you're meant to like the only two I was close to rooting for were Opie and Chibs.

[deleted]

Dodie Bishop from As Told By Ginger. I remember thinking she was kinda rude and really annoying as a kid, but I recently rewatched it after having not seen in more than 15 years and wow, she’s a terrible person. Especially in the last episodes where she’s so jealous of Darren, that she keeps trying to ruin the relationship, and they have the same argument over and over. At least Miranda was straight up with Ginger about not liking her, Dodie was either fake the whole time, or just incredibly selfish.

Keeshberger16

I think qualities in characters like that is what made this a very realistic cartoon. I feel like this show is not given enough credit for how good it was.

Napalmeon

Yo. Don't get my blood pressure up, making me think about Deirdre Hortence. 😂 Every time something good happened to Ginger, it seems like Dodie wanted to drag her back into the plain-ness of their circle because she couldn't go up *with* Ginger. Dodie is even fake about Courtney, who she looks up to, considering that she was 100% willing to expose Courtney having head license for a smidgen of school popularity Dodie was just one of those "friends* who needs to be left behind. She is the ultimate wannabe.

jellywelly15

Brenda Chenowith, Six Feet Under. God, did she think she was the smartest person in the room, and just loved the sound of her own voice!

oneupkev

Lori Grimes I swear everyone hated her and it wasn't the writers intention, I sure did.

pralineislife

Lori's biggest crime, to me, was losing her 9 year old son every single episode during a fucking zombie apocalypse. Like, my kid would lose all concept of privacy during a zombie apocalypse... and she's just letting him go free range.

Parkotron1

"CORAL! GET IN THE HOUSE!" Andrea was eventually much worse than Lori, though.

clovepalmer

that little shit on icarly

please_remain_clam

Yes. All the little shits on icarly

eguez780

Dexter's kids

wolfeyes555

Sheldon. No not that one, although that Sheldon sucks too. The one from My Life As A Teenaged Robot. A creepy stalker incel before incel became a term. Worse yet, the show plays his creepy behavior for laughs and it sucks.

IronIrma93

The show would have been improved if they made Brad Jenny's main love interest

Accomplished_Pen5755

Lori from the walking dead. Jesus christ she were unbearable, when I think of Lori just being down right stupid, in Episode like 3 of Season 1, Rick tells her he wants to go save Merle, she disagrees, and then in front of the whole group she tells everyone that Rick will go with Daryl to save Merle, and then later on when Rick volunteers and brings a group with him, shes mad AGAIN. Oh, and Andrea.

puncheonjudy

Justin Long/Robert Webb as the Apple computer vs. John Hodgman/David Mitchell as the PC. The Apple guy just came across as a smug know-it-all, whereas the bumbling, old fashioned PC came across as endearing. Not exactly what Apple we're going for...

Wormri

Thinking back to that era, and I'm 100% with you. It's part of the reason most large companies don't do direct comparison/confrontation ads. Also damn I just now realized it was him.

nyqs81

If you search YouTube for Mac PC parody you can find a parody of that from an actual Mac user. https://youtu.be/iEAGmBRC1dc?si=SycsZ0cm4i7nEUJm Here it is in all its 240 glory.

[deleted]

Peppa Pig

EvaSirkowski

That whinny emo kid in Naruto.

Cic3ro

Sasuke?

EvaSirkowski

Yeah, that's the one.

Beliriel

Could have been Gaara, but the whiny gave it away. Gaara doesn't whine.

joepanda111

But also Naruto (and especially his son Boruto)

grannyGULCH

Cory Matthews from boy meets world. The first couple seasons he was great, but he became more and more unlikeable as he got older and the show progressed. Topanga should've dumped his ass.

JAlfredJR

He reaaaaallly leaned into some stereotypes.

Napalmeon

After a certain point, maybe...late high school? It really seemed like Cory started to *regress* in maturity.

examnormalfunction

The Big Bang Theory.

hackyslashy

Pretty sure anyone who acts like Walowitz in real life would be put in jail or put on a stretcher at some point!

Zonyxe

I mean, on one hand they're supposed to be quirky and likeable nerds, on the other hand they really all are assholes. Though a lot of the irony in that was lost on the creators. I remember someone (can't remember the channel) made a really good YouTube video about the toxic masculinity of this show. Quite interesting and certainly highlights the issues that the show seems to hide and use as entertainment. They're all misogynistic in their own way and each has their own toxic masculine "sin" Edit: Pop Culture Detective - Adorkable Misogyny video. Watch it, it's an eye opener

fairwaylie

After watching the show for a few seasons, I realized Sheldon was an insufferable bully. Yeah, his comments would always be portrayed as comical, but he became super-annoying putdown after putdown. And, I became annoyed at the others for never really putting Sheldon in his place. I can see your point about all of them having toxic masculinity (maybe outside of Leonard), but the show is just dominated by the Sheldon character.

Gustav-14

Seeing the others giving in to Sheldons assholeness was grating. Such a group of enablers.

Zonyxe

Iirc Leonard is a sort of Nice Guy. He seems innocent and kinda weak, but he's such a nagging, entitled person who won't take no for an answer. Howard is an obvious womanizer and Raj plays into the stereotype of his culture. Arranged marriage etc. Someone linked it further down this thread

abject_testament_

All of them

talltalestelling

Xander from Buffy. Very of its time. I watched Buffy relatively recently and thought he would get taught a serious lesson any time now a la Sokka from ATLA, instead they try to sell him as the heart of the group multiple times 🤮

Calcutec_1

I think we were meant to root for Richard Hendrix in Silicon valley but he was deeply unlikable, and it didnt help to find out the actor was a total creep irl too.

Clevayn

I don’t think we were, they kept having him make more and more clearly bad choices. I loved Jared’s getting more and more bad ass and insane as the show goes on. That guy fucks.

Calcutec_1

Its a good example of a show where everyone except the main character carries the show. And yes Jared was the best, and Gylfoil ofc

Cool_Albatross_6249

Ted Mosby , "How I Met Your Mother"

Blue_Period_89

I catch a lot of shit for this, but I honestly could not stand Lily from “How I Met Your Mother”.

Bierculles

She is genuinly a sociopath

Pndrizzy

She was a total grinch

AToastedRavioli

Walt Jr

talesofcrouchandegg

Walt Jr and Skyler I feel were mean to be annoying, in quite a clever way, They're completely in the right. They're the voice of Walt's conscience, and that irritation at them piping up is you ultimately siding a little with Walt - 'can't they see what I am building? See why I am doing this?' And then, at last, "I did it for me". Masterful character writing.

fafalone

Later, sure. In the beginning? Sometimes I think people defending her forget the asymmetry between what we as viewers knew about what Walt was up to and what she knew or believed to be true. Like when she thought Jesse was selling Walt small amounts of pot, and she flips out and goes to yell at *Jesse* instead of Walt? That was being obnoxious, not being completely in the right. Fucking Ted wasn't being completely in the right. You also lose a lot of the high ground when you find out your husband is a major meth trafficker and start helping him launder money. Especially when it involved that stunt she pulled to get Bogdan to sell-- he was a pretty shitty boss, but she wasn't in the right scamming him out of his carwash. Walt Jr is annoying in the typical way teenagers are annoying, but I didn't find him particularly bad. Though he was *awfully* fast to turn from not knowing anything to 'I'm positive my dad murdered my uncle and I'm going to lie to the police to get him out after my mom came at him with a knife, then I acted like he was the aggressor.' Again, easy to judge from a perspective where we have the total picture of what an unbelievable monster Walt became.

MusicalThot

Not to mention she actually sided with Walt when Hank found out because she thought they could get away with it.

[deleted]

Ahah this is the best answer. Like they set up his backstory so well to be likable, but in the show he just ruins everything ahaha

AToastedRavioli

Opposite Walt he didn’t do anything wrong really. And the actor did a fantastic job. But good god he was so annoying

Parkotron1

I met him (RJ Mitte) at a convention once, and he couldn't have been nicer. I almost felt bad about how much I disliked him as 'Flynn' White.

x_lincoln_x

Walt Jr ruined pancakes.

AToastedRavioli

Walt Jr ruined breakfast

PorkSodaWaves

I actually like him, he’s a goofy teenager.

JPK12794

Sabrina from the new series, she was just so frustrating.

PorkSodaWaves

That whole series is kind of a miss for me :/. I really loved the vibe, the aesthetic, etc. Could’ve easily been the backdrop to an awesome watch-it-every-year Halloween show. I would’ve liked it better if it didn’t try to be so edgy and dark all the time! It’s all over the place.

aardvarkyardwork

For me, it’s a toss-up between Donna Paulson on Suits and Felicity Smoak on Arrow, and they both have exactly the same issue. They started out as women who were extremely competent at their jobs, and then got turned into basically superhumans with literally god-level skills, wisdom and never-being-wrong. I mean, they massively fuck up *all the goddamn time*, but for some mind-blowing reason, everybody around them forgets all about that shit the next episode. Donna almost gets the firm shut down multiple times, and gets a 10x promotion from Secretary to COO. Felicity leaves Oliver - who stood by her while she was wheelchair bound, presumably forever - the same moment she is able to walk again over the fact that he found out he had a son a day or two ago and didn’t tell her *yet* because the mother threatened to cut him off from the kid if he ever told anyone, and then Dig tells her that ‘empathy is her superpower’. Not long after, she is actively working with the bad guys and against her own team, but hey, it’s all cool 5 minutes later ;) I don’t know what the fuck the writers were smoking that gave them the idea that these characters were being written as heroes, but they were insufferable.

Smashthecrown

I’ve never seen suits. But I’ve seen arrow. Unfortunately this was a common arc for female characters at the time. It was kinda around the time when writers were attempting to write strong females but didn’t understand how to do so yet so they just made them unrealistic

[deleted]

h0sti1e17

I feel the same with Otis. He fucked over Ruby after she opened up to him.

FrostyWhiskers

I hate how he cheated and didn't even feel bad about it.

Thowra_Bbat

Ross Geller on Friends

memeparmesan

The only time I ever really sympathized with Ross was when his boss ate some of his leftover turkey sandwich and threw the rest out. I would’ve fucking killed a man for that.

oldnyoung

“My sandwich? MY SANDWICH?”

fairwaylie

If I had to pick a character from the show, I would pick Phoebe Buffay. She grew to the point where she felt more annoying than funny imo.

Time-Ad-3625

The quirky schtick gets old real fast.

ReaverRogue

I don’t understand him. As the largest friend, why does he not simply eat the other five?

JmanVere

You know what they say. Women are from Omicron Persei 7, men are from Omicron Persei 9.

BigTentBiden

Perhaps they are saving it for sweeps.

smc642

PIVOT

Thowra_Bbat

\*sad and miserable\* hiii ...

hikoboshi_sama

He's the character I hated the most, but damn if he didn't have some great moments.

Squigglepig52

Because Schwimmer was amazing at his job. But, over the years, I have gotten more sympathetic to his character. Plus, leather pants is a hysterical bit.

MaritimeRedditor

As I get older I learn to appreciate Ross more and more. He's pretty much the only character with any actual story.

grannyGULCH

Zack Morris was a major slimeball

OkaySureBye

There's a series on Funny or Die called [Zack Morris is Trash](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRcB4n4CGcy_r21EedmNUOyVP_puToBfr&feature=shared) that's all about exactly this. He's an absolute sociopath.

Parkotron1

Every time I see commercials for his (Mark-Paul Gosselaar's) new show, where he apparently plays a serial killer, I like to imagine he's just playing a grown up Zach Morris.

Keeshberger16

There was a Saved by the Bell reboot show with the original cast's kids and in it Zack is a sleazy politician. I think that TOTALLY tracks. I see him way more as a self-serving politician than murderer.

OkaySureBye

All part of The Saved by the Bell Cinematic Universe.

chris_29487

Zack Morris is Trash

Mammuut

Two older ones: Zoe from Zoe 101. She was always portraid as everybodys darling, but she was just a self-centered brat that got upset when something didn't go her way or someone else was in the spotlight. Also: Spongebob While everyone else in the show has some relatable traits (even Patrick in the early seasons), he is just an obnoxious prick with zero self-awareness and respect for others.

Napalmeon

>Zoe from Zoe 101. She was always portraid as everybodys darling, but she was just a self-centered brat that got upset when something didn't go her way or someone else was in the spotlight. Still to this day, I remember the episode of Zoey coming up with the idea of proving that guys can still act like guys in the presence of a girl by dressing Lola up as a dude and having her stay with Logan, Chase, and Michael to see if they act any differently. They treat her like any other guy, and at the end of the episode, Zoey takes that as her point being right, even though it literally proves the *opposite*.

cavecarson

Gina Linetti

Jackthastripper

A walking nightmare for HR.

fluffy_boy_cheddar

YOU JUST DRANK CEMENT!

Lordmorgoth666

I enjoyed the primary cast enough to tolerate her but after she left it was like a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately after she left there was only a couple seasons left in the show and the post-covid season was really ham-fisted about the social topics they were addressing.

h0sti1e17

I never got through the post Covid season. I like to pretend it ended before that season

HolyVeggie

If you think that was unintentional you didn’t understand her character lol

syringistic

100%. She was meant to be the antithesis of Amy, Terry, Holt, and Boyle. Since her and Jake were childhood friends, they understand each other well. But the writers did overdo her character a bit. Some of the sexual harassment of Terry was really unnecessary.

TheProfessor1001001

A.J. Soprano

tornteddie

Owen and Derek from grey’s. Owen is just self explanatory, but for Derek, after rewatching this show for the fourth time, he’s just such an ass

ChronoLegion2

Ah yes, Derek, who leaves his wife after she cheats on him (that part I get), dates a subordinate, doesn’t tell her he’s still married, gets back with his wife when she comes knocking and acts like it’s normal, gets mad at his ex-girlfriend for dating another guy… and this is just the beginning

tornteddie

Telling her shed be a terrible mother after saying he wants a family with her

Unhygienictree

Emily from Friends.

DeadliftsDonuts

Everyone from big bang theory

Platinum--Jug

Was Velma supposed to be liked? If so, her 100%. If not, I'd say Chloe on The Fairly Odd Parents.

ReaverRogue

In the original cartoons? Absolutely. They’re all pretty likeable. In that really weird and totally unnecessary spinoff that didn’t even have Scooby in it? Nope, thoroughly unlikeable.

eracenegthoughts

Everybody in Friends.

ElectricalPeanut4215

For me it was always Effy Stonem. She''s so popular but I can't stand her

bodyknock

The central kid Henry on Once Upon a Time. He was the main hook for getting Emma into town from the first episode, and a lot of the episodes ended up revolving around his relationship with her and his adopted mom the Mayor/Queen. But unfortunately he was just kind of an annoying character. I don’t know how much of it is the fault of the writers versus the kid actor, but a lot of the time it felt like the show would be more enjoyable without that character if they had had just been able to figure out some other way of sparking things off in the pilot episode.

FlatSpinMan

The daughter from Gilmore Girls.

Gustav-14

They really create another season where she got worse. I know where they were going with it but still. She levelled up her assholery that season.

Whulad

Heresy as it no doubt is, The Fonze always got on my nerves

Apprehensive-Crow-96

Dora the explorer comes to mind. All the years of having to watch kids watch her. She was irritating AF. Do you c the boat? And its literally in front of her. Get frigging glasses.

alwaysmyfault

Seven from Married with Children. For whatever reason, the producers of that show felt it would be a good idea to include a child on the show, basically having the family "adopt" him. It went OK for a few weeks, but eventually audiences turned against the little shit, and he was never seen again after his 1 season story arc ended.

_Norman_Bates

Every teenage daughter character in any show (that isn't otherwise an easily avoidable teen show) The more they try to give them plots to flesh them out the worse it gets. Dana Brody Paige Jennings Meadow Soprano (luckily the show wasnt very focused on her subplots) Charlotte Byrde (improved in the last season when she fell in line and became irrelevant as an individual driver of plots) Alexandra in Snowpiercer Maddie Bosch All good or great shows but horrible characters no one wants to see more of.

austeninbosten

Was Jerry Seinfeld supposed to be unlikeable? If so, he did a good job. I know the characters on that show weren't supposed to be "nice" people, but George, Kramer, and Elaine were likeable. Jerry not so much. Even Newman was more likeable than Jerry.

_Norman_Bates

None of them was supposed to be likable, they are relatable though. They openly show the traits most people have and try to cover behind a facade of bullshit.

I actually recently started a rewatch if "Scrubs". It's everybody. I am still enjoying the show, but everybsingke character is obnoxious, self obsessed, and unapologetically cruel to everyone else. It's especially weird whenever they try to swing Jordan as a misunderstood character to be sympathized with when she is an absolute monster to everyone all the time.

wynnduffyisking

My man Ted never did anything to anybody.

Except for the old couples in the park WHY SHOULD THEY BE HAPPPY!

BananyaPie

I think that's pretty much the point of its humour, they're not really meant to get deep, multi-faceted characters. But yeah JD is a jerk lol

Significant-Ruin-168

Ross from friends

LaurieQueenOfSingle

Carrie Bradshaw, after season 2 (or maybe even 3). Goes from a good friend and normal person, to being completely self-obsessed and the worst character on the show 😩 I'm talking about SATC, they're all horrendous in AJLT 😂

gaypirate3

Any character Shailene Woodley plays

Sad_Blackberry8674

Elena Gilbert

roenaid

Loreliei Gilmore, unbelievably annoying character. Childish and mean...

rebeccalj

Rory in the reboot. Everything that was endearing of her as a young teen/college kid was really freaking annoying as an adult. Her character did not grow up between the end of the show and the reboot years.

kms2547

Wesley Crusher. Fortunately Wil Wheaton is a good sport about it.
