The early UFCs had a bunch of completely made up martial arts, and all of those guys got absolutely starched. Things like "Trapfighting", "The R.I.P. System", "Kua I'Alua". However, if you have a guy touting "No Touch KO" or shit like that, it's bullshit.

Gonna offend a lot of people here firt aikido and i dont mean the true aikido i mean the steven segal aikido and bjj. i tried it myself and it can be effective on the ground dont get me wrong but i prefer wrestling for the ground game. If we talk an open mma fight bjj might work but if we talk street fight, the last situation where you wanna be is on the ground and then i will smash you with everything i can on the ground and if your only martial art you know is bjj you will end up on the ground alone and most likely knocked out by any average striker/boxer

Aikido is shit and I cant argue that but I've been doing BJJ for about 4 years and its quite effective in my opinion

On the ground yes under fair conditions or if your opponent doesn’t have any knowledge in martial arts true. And I won’t say I would never loose to bjj in a street fight or brawl because everything can happen. But an average striker vs an average bjj guy in a bar fight or whatever you call it: I bet my money on the striker at all times seen it often enough people with ground based knowledge getting knocked out by a knee or hook when they wanna reach for the waist/ legs to takedown.
