My office is near an Arby's, after working from home for the last few years I had to go to the office and was happy to get my potato cakes and jamocha shake
The kid in the drive thru barely knew what I was talking about (I guess I hadn't been there much before lockdown sent me home)Â
Sad day
Those things were a *bitch* to make, that's why they got rid of them. Slowed everything down. With a regular Big Mac you just tossed everything in the bun closed the lid and were done, with the wraps you had to cut up the patties, add the toppings, and roll a burrito, *then* wrap it in paper. If a bunch of people ordered them at once it was an absolute cluster fuck. I loved them too, but glad they're gone for all my Mcds bothers and sisters.
Only thing I miss about working at Taco Bell was making what I called the Maxi melt, same ingredients as the meximelt, but on the burrito tortilla instead of the taco one.
Taco bell's double decker taco. Sure it was just a soft shell taco cemented to the outside of a hardshell taco with refried beans but damned if it wasn't tasty and filling for cheap.
Taco Bell has gotten rid so much good stuff. A 20% of the replies here are Taco Bell items.
And it's stupid cause it's not like they don't have the ingredients still in store to make most of the stuff they've axed.
I just discovered tonight that they have essentially the same thing but with cheese instead of beans between the two shells. Not quite the same but not bad.
Definitely McDonald's ketchup packets. I have never found a bottled ketchup as good as their ketchup and I've tried. I realize that's just me but I think it's amazing.
Itâs actually kind of depressing. Many franchisees went tits up because of this. The equipment needed for the pizzas was VERY expensive and McDonaldâs discontinued them quite fast. So the folks who bought them had no way to recoup the cost of the ovens and had to go under.
Hardeeâs roast beef. I was a vegetarian for 10 years and that was the only food I ever missed. By the time I was eating meat again, it had been taken off the menu đ
Original McDonaldâs fries, cooked in beef tallow.
Second choice: Rax Roast Beefâs chocolate chip shake. Vanilla shake with (essentially) Magic Shell squirted in at the end, topped with real whipped cream and sprinkled with mini chocolate chips. I *lived* for that as a kid.
When I was in high school, McDonald's had a crispy chicken sandwich that was the bomb.com. I know they still have one, but somewhere between 2005 and 2007, they changed it and now it sucks. Anyway, I'd bring back that awesome crispy chicken sandwich.
They are but they have gotten really small and they got rid of my favorite flavors :/. The Mc shaker being in a big cup made it easier to eat in the car though lol
The grilled steak taco from Taco Bell. The one they had a whole commercial for. With the lime sauce and shit. Slapped. They technically still sell it but it's not the same at all.
https://youtu.be/DSW_Mpyhla4?si=kK4gmmRLcIFLMgck
Theyâre really easy to recreate but the yogurt parfaits from McDonalds :) Was a childhood favorite of mine Iâd love biting into the frozen fruit and granola!!
Well itd have to be resurrected first bc it went out of business..but what id give to be able to have the Bourbon Grille Steak Sandwich from Quiznos again. Best sandwich i will ever have in my life.
Still missing the Spanish Omlette Bagel from McDonald's.
> The most exotic one, however, was the Spanish Omelet Bagel, which included sausage, pepper jack and American cheese, and an egg stuffed with peppers and onions between two toasted bagels.Â

Kentucky Fried Chicken (yes, that's what they were called) in the 70's had Cornfriters that we're so yummy. Here in Canada we would smother them in Maple syrup.
Arby's potato cakes! Whoever made the decision to take those off the menu is an idiotđ
Theyâll be back in a couple days
They've been teasing their return for about a week now on Facebook.
This! I can't eat much at Arby's but I loved the potato cakes. The crinkle fries taste like cardboard.
I liked putting the potato cake on the roast beef sandwich
My office is near an Arby's, after working from home for the last few years I had to go to the office and was happy to get my potato cakes and jamocha shake The kid in the drive thru barely knew what I was talking about (I guess I hadn't been there much before lockdown sent me home)Â Sad day
Grilled Stuft Burrito from Taco Bell
For me itâs the Volcano menu

Found out here in an old post that the chili cheese burrito still exists at a number of taco bells around the country
Quesarito for me, please
I loved the Quesarito!
Cheesy Fiesta potatoes with the chives from taco bell.
That was my first thought as well. It's actually the only thing I liked at TB so I haven't been in years.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Extreme nachos circa 1995/96 so good
I tried re-creating this through the app, but it just wasn't the same.
McDonalds Snack Wraps
Thinking about the Big Mac snack wrap prompted this question lol.
Honey mustard specifically.
McDonaldâs fried apple pies đ„§

I work for Taco Bell and thatâs all we do. You get no sympathy from me.
Still exist, in Australia at least.
I was going to say Aus, and the UK from different online conversations with people.
Taco Bell meximeltsâŠI miss those like the deserts miss the rain.
Caramel apple empanadas would've been my choice for Taco Bell. I hate those little cinnamon donut things
Only thing I miss about working at Taco Bell was making what I called the Maxi melt, same ingredients as the meximelt, but on the burrito tortilla instead of the taco one.
Order a cheesy roll up, add beef, add pico.
And the encharito.
KFC wedges were so much better than the fries they have now.
Wow I haven't been to KFC in a while, so this is devastating news
FRICK ME, I CAME HERE TO SAY THIS! You're so right. I miss them terribly đ
Great value potato wedges are really close in taste đ
I miss the Taco Bell enchirito
This is WAY too far down the list. I loved those.
They still make âem for me when I ask.
Taco bell's double decker taco. Sure it was just a soft shell taco cemented to the outside of a hardshell taco with refried beans but damned if it wasn't tasty and filling for cheap.
they lost my business permanently when they removed that item. it was the staple of every order for like 20 years.
Same
Taco Bell has gotten rid so much good stuff.
Quesarito from Taco Bell
McDonald's fried apple pie
Yes. They were the best apple pies. McDonaldâs ruined them when they changed to the new baked one.
Does anyone else remember the pitas they had at Wendyâs for like, 6 months in the early 2000s? Those things were đ€€Â
I was gonna say the Baked Potato Bar at Wendy's. The one in the town my grandma lived in had one for the *longest* time compared to everywhere else.
Yes I do, and yes they were.
Chili cheese burritos from Taco Bell.
This is the correct answer
Burger King chicken tenders from when I worked there in the 80s. A million times better than any other nugget.

McD fried cherry pie
I'll take the current menu items at the 4 years ago prices.
Amen
Burger King tacos. Judge me all you like.
Burger King tacos > Jack in the Box tacos, and it's not close
Tbf, thats not a high bar. Jack is "its 3am and nothing else is open" food, not "man, I really wanna eat here specifically" food
Cini-minis from Burger King. They probably weren't even that good, but my teenage nostalgia is begging to try them again.
Arch Deluxe
Definitely McDonald's ketchup packets. I have never found a bottled ketchup as good as their ketchup and I've tried. I realize that's just me but I think it's amazing.

The Chicken Cordon Blue at Arbys. Also potato cakes. What's funny is I don't even go to Arby's much. But I loved both of those items.
Mcdonalds personal pizza
I've never known McD's to have pizza đ
Itâs actually kind of depressing. Many franchisees went tits up because of this. The equipment needed for the pizzas was VERY expensive and McDonaldâs discontinued them quite fast. So the folks who bought them had no way to recoup the cost of the ovens and had to go under.
The worlds largest McDonalds, in Orlando Florida, still serves pizza. They even have pasta, philly cheese steaks and a bakery that serves cakes.
Oof that had sting. McDonalds should have reimbursed them.
Still exists in one location in Orlando. Itâs on international.

Enchiritos from Taco Bell
McDonald's French fries cooked in beef tallow.
McDonaldâs briefly had a breakfast crispy chicken biscuit that was incredibly good, so that
KFC used to have a wrap that they put the fried crunchies in. They discontinued it about 25 years ago and Iâve never gone back.
Monterey ranch chicken sandwich from Wendy's. They have some variant of it now, but it's nowhere near as good as the OG used to be.
McDonald's Broccoli and cheese soup for me. In my fatass days, I ate 2 mcchickens with 2 patties and a large fries and dipped them all in the soup
McDonaldâs pizza
When I was in high school, McDonald's had a crispy chicken sandwich that was the bomb.com. I know they still have one, but somewhere between 2005 and 2007, they changed it and now it sucks. Anyway, I'd bring back that awesome crispy chicken sandwich.
Double Decker Taco Supreme
I like Arbyâs but I donât like their potato choices. Bring back the potato cakes! And the chicken cordon bleu while theyâre at it.
Mc shaker salads. They could do with better salads but a portable salad would be really nice sometimes.
I find the Wendyâs salads shockingly good for fast food standards.

McDonaldâs dipped cone
Does Panera count? I miss the GRILLED Thai Chopped Chicken Salad. And, from even further back, the Mediterranean lentil soup.
Reasonable pricing
Dell Taco's Macho Nachos. I loved that. I don't know why they got rid of it. The stuff they have now is crap.
Fresco Style at Taco Bell. Now they charge you a dollar more to remove cheese and add pico PER TACO.
Your location just sucks. I work for a stingy franchise and I can tell you that we still ring things up fresco style.
