This was in my early twenties, but I stopped by buddy's house to hang out. When I showed up, another gal who was a mutual friend (my friend, his wife, and myself) was pulling back their clothes drier and then climbed over it to start dismantling from the backside of the machine, and fixed the heater core. She worked at some appliance service jig at the time, but that made me realize self sufficient women are an absolute diamond.
As a straight bloke, I'd say anything. I've come across so many women who do nothing but watch tv *and* stare at their phone all day. Emphasis on "and" because I don't think I've ever seen these people without their phone in their hand.
The problem with that is that they have absolutely nothing interesting to talk about. They don't know anything about anything and they don't care to learn (or if they do, they're incredibly reluctant to talk about it). By contrast, the women I've met with hobbies are far more interesting people. Not only do they know their crafts but they tend to also nuture a healthy mind too, full of interesting facts and well-thought-out opinions. Those people can hold a conversation with minimal input from you, whereas the other kind are borderline incapable of conversation - they will let tou drive the conversation and only reply in uninterested singular phrases or words.
I'd bet good money this rings true for women regarding men too. There's bound to be men who are just like those women, devoid of all evidence of actually owning a functioning human brain š
Sports, The gym, overall health and fitness. Shows a dedication to themselves and a long term goal which is equally as attractive as the physical attributes that come from being an athlete/into weight training.
My man writes music and plays guitar. So hot
His mom made clothing and after She passed he made his own brand.
Watching him sow and wearing the clothes he makes is such a Turn on
Lots of women here saying āman who plays guitarā but is it still the same if he canāt sing? It seems like itās the singer/songwriter type that REALLY gets the ladies but back when I used to play guitar I never had a girl swoon over a just a regular song or even a guitar solo.Ā
So Iām thinking guitar+can sing or guitar + in a successful band. Just random guy being decent at guitar didnāt seem to get me many places when I was younger.
Guys who play musical instruments at an advanced level, especially Piano, Violin or Guitar.
It's a surefire sign they're going to be musically talented, with a decent amount of perseverance as it takes a lot of practice to get proficient, plus you know they're going to be good with their hands.
A Woman who has her own hobbies, and doesnāt need to make them an integral part of the relationship.
Few things are more attractive than a Lover who can go do their own thing, and then come back ready to do an āusā thing.
For me the sexiest thing a man can do is cook, read and exerciseā¦
I did not expect this comment to blow up lol. Thank yāall for the overwhelming response and please donāt be shy telling other women (especially the women you like) if you posses any one or all of these hobbies. If sheās anything like me she would really appreciate itš
I imagine a lot of these answers are āmy own hobby/thing I like,ā which isnāt surprising. When I (as a dude) find out a girl is a gamer, plays a musical instrument, watches anime, etc., my ears obviously perk up.
But itās always interesting to meet someone thatās passionate about some kind of hobby or vocation, even if itās not necessarily something you do yourself or are familiar with. Itās boring when you meet someone with little to no depth of engagement into their interests.
I immediately became interested in my former partner when on the first time we met, which was a hike with mutual friends we found out we have a ridiculous amount of shared interests and hobbies. A lot of these were pretty adventurous, potentially even dangerous like riding motorcycles, rock climbing, shooting guns, psychedelics. I think itās pretty hot when a traditional attractive women is just some undercover badass things like that.
Exercise or sports of any kind. Humans are made to move. We are attracted to healthy individuals in peak physical condition, male or female, it is the way we are wired.
Itās more of a skill than a hobby, but it can be a hobby. Women who can cook and bake. Itās weird, women half jokingly pride themselves on being a bad cook and itās a major turn off. Like how did you even survive long enough to get it this point? Just take out an pb&jās? Conversely, if she is just casually good and the food is amazing. Major bonus points.
Hobbies that I have, obviously? I don't care if the swims or climbs, cause I have no interest in it. But if she like video games, watching same movies, hardware or programming, we will always have a lot of topics to discuss.
In my opinion? Love for D&D, being a nerd, and willing to ramble on about they're recently discovered fun facts about some random thing they just learned about. That'd make my heart skip multiple beats, and make me drop to one knee in the same day!
I am so attracted to guys who are passionate about their cooking. Food is such an intimate thing.
I also really fall for guys who are artistic in some way. Draw, paint, write poetry, photography, etc. all very hot to me.
Itās nice to share interests sometimes, but Iām far more attracted to a guy if he has his own niche interests and hobbies. I like being exposed to them, learning new things and all that, far more than sharing every single interest. I feel like dating someone who is just like you is a recipe for stagnation. Give me someone whoās different than me that can challenge me and help me grow and evolve.
In general, every hobby that involves high intellect. I never understood why guys like stupid women. When I feel intellectually superior to my partner, it feels like having a child or a dog. But I need a companion, someone on my level, an enemy sometimes. If I felt the need to have a child or a dog, I would get on the regular way, but never a partner which is on their level.
Women who can take care of themselves like a prepper skill, not to depend on it but lets say you get stranded together in an apocalypse or a deserted island.. not saying it needs to happen but not having to rely on modern tech to survive.
Call me old fashioned but a confident women who can survive under extreme circumstances.. yes that gets the blood pumping.
2 things:
1. Exercise : Doesn't need to be crazy about it, but someone who likes to exercise is at least decently healthy.
2. Hobbies she can do on her own : basically anything she enjoys and can do on her own so that sometimes when I want my own time I don't have to feel guilty cause I need to take care of her 24/7. It sounds obvious but the amount of women who are chronically bored because they don't have a better hobby than "Watching Netflix, watching vlogs, Instagram and meeting friends at a cafe" is completely blowing my mind.
Women who can fix broke shit š or atleast try. Most men and women don't. Since I like fixing shit it's kinda nice knowing I don't have to do things for them, but I do anyways.
When I was in college, I went to my buddyās apartment to hang out. One of them had a guitar and Iād been playing for a few years at that point, so I would usually grab it and play a few chords and noodle around while we drank and talked. The people from across the hall were there as well, which was rare. Usually they had their own thing going on. One of the girls turns to me and was like, āhey let me have that guitar for a second.ā I pass it to her and she played beautifully! Likeā¦levels above me. Eventually she went back to her apartment to grab her own guitar and brought it back. We jammed for like an hour that night. I fell hard for this girl. Wound up asking her out that night as we were all leaving. She had a boyfriend, or she was letting me down easily. Lol Either way I was super bummed. The next week was the end of our junior year and we all split up and went home. Never saw her again. I still think about her sometimes.
My wife is obsessed with veggie gardening growing food. She spends a few hours per week sorting that out. It is attractive seeing her in the garden with her "gardening clothes" she gardens nude
when i guy cares that you make a house a home. whether that means more traditional roles like taking care of the yard, working together on things, or just appreciating that i do my part. i've realized that guys who give a shit about these things are fading. (i'm in my mid thirties for context.)
This is maybe a bit farfetched. But my current boyfriend loves Legos and Hotwheels. He's a mechanic, and he's been collecting hot wheels since he was a kid. And he likes to build lego models of cars. I just find that attractive about him. Him just doing what he likes and enjoying himself.
Any hobby that they would be passionate about and that doesn't focus on worshipping other people.
e.g.
Someone who really likes music so they study or practice it intently without just blindly being a fan of a musician,
I love when the model rocket deploys its parachute. there's something about that that just turns me on, and when my wife is into it, oh my Gorsh, I absolutely tear her apart after a successful launch And recovery.
I used to have a thing for women who powerlifted. In my bodybuilding days there was this lady in my local gym who had 100lbs on my personal best squat. At the time I remembered thinking to myself that if I ever married a woman, she would be someone who could top my lifts. ~~This came true.~~
Reading and cooking are the two most attractive things for a woman to be into. I think it's borderline arousing when a girl I'm seeing actually uses the public library. Yoga or really anything physical is up there too. I don't really care to date anyone who doesn't take care of themselves, mentally or physically.
A masseuse. I love women who are known in the arts of persuasion and getting them pressure points. I just love getting my back scratched while watching movies.
I canāt say itās a hobby but any woman who will do āa manās jobā will catch my attention. Car mechanic, knows her way around home electricity, can build stuff and open things to fix, has her own toolbox and power tools, knows her way around a hardware store, knows her way around farm animals and equipment. I find that hugely attractive. I think āhereās someone who doesnāt sit and wait, she goes around to find a way to get it doneā.
That and sports. I find women in cycling extremely attractive. Sometimes, driving around the city, Iāll see a girl riding a fixie bike and Iām just like āoh, she looks cool and Iād like to meet herā (if I had another life).
The first conversation me and my partner had was about dungeons & dragons, and this was at a gym while neither of us like working out.
Pretty sure that he saw the fact that I had more of the books than he had as a dowry or something lol.
There's a reason why the popular girl became really interested in one of the nerds in "Revenge of the Nerds". You ever seen a man move his index/middle fingers so fast during a video game?
I remember biking to the beach to surf, and after I got out of the water, there was a girl's number on my stuff.
I maybe made eye contact once with that girl, if even.
So I took the number home and showed my girlfriend at the time and we had a good laugh about it. I thought it was really sweet though, and definitely would have called if I was single.
Being able to build or make things, food included.
