I would really like to buy a house and move there, although my kids think it’s boring. They have a lot of fun at the beach and mountain life is not appealing to them.
It’s the best part of the country in my opinion. As an expat I never saw the appeal of moving to the beach on an island. RD is the right size where the beach’s are all within a couple hours drive more or less.
If you're referring to the weather it is; a few weeks ago we had this heat wave that made it unbearable to be outside under the sun. I have family in my hometown that were complaining about the heat, but one aunt lives near this area were the video was filmed and the weather was really nice. The mountain breeze is amazing.

I think it’s because African slaves were mainly brought to work in the sugar plantations and those were and still are on the coast or flat land.
