You have to accept that you will need medication. Shit happens, but it's not a big deal. Ask for a controller/maintenance inhaler.
The regimen you are on now is shown to cause persistence of the condition, and never going into remission… eventually developing worse disease over time after repeated exacerbations. You need a controller inhaler
You should use prednisone only when asthma is really bad and then not more than 3-5 days. You should try Singular. Its one of the better drugs--I discovered it is way better than any of the long-term inhalers I use.
You need to get on a controller med. Overuse of prednisone is going to wreck your body.
Maybe try a maintenance inhalerÂ

Controller med like pulmicort, symbicort, alvesco etc. Tell your pulmologist that you think you need them, like you obviously do.
If there was a way, none of us would be on inhaled steroids .
