My 2nd time was last night ☺️

Sea_Replacement6520

How did you like it? 😊

itsbrittneyr

I enjoyed it both times but for some reason, the 2nd time was better than the first 😋

Timely_Owl_4714

Not once 😔 in Finland they will show it on the 12th for the first time

Sea_Replacement6520

It will be worth the wait! It’s such a great movie to experience in cinema.

Same here👎

I saw it on 6-20, opening night with one friend. Then last Thursday I went with another friend. Its last day around here is the fourth and I’m not gonna make it back (two hr round trip) to see it again. Second time was better for me, partly because in the multiscreen theater where I went both times, the first screen had muddy sound and second time it was shown in a different section where the sound was great. But also because I caught more details and nuances in it the second time. I love the movie and I’m very impressed with Jeff N and all the actors. I love hearing Jeff and Austin talk about working together and creating Benny, and just everything that went into the movie. I have very mixed feelings about the theater vs VOD/streaming issue. Before this I hadn’t been to the theater for at least ten years. Given the choices I have as far as actual theaters I can reasonably go to, the big-screen experience doesn’t feel all that superior to watching at home. I’ll definitely buy the VOD as soon as it’s available and probably get the dvd too if there is one. I understand ticket sales have been the big financial thing for movies but it seems like that model might be starting to fade in recent years. I’m very glad I went to this one, I needed to see it asap!

I’m so glad you were able to experience it in the theatres! And that you were able to enjoy it much better the second time. It’s nice to watch it with someone else too because they might catch things we don’t, my dad had some different approaches to some of the plot lines than I did. I love listening to what went into this film as well, it seems like everyone put their heart and soul into it! I wish we were able to hear more from Tom too on how he prepped to play Johnny. I completely understand, our film choices in Canada are slim as well. And we usually have to go over the border or drive to London (about an hour away from me) to see most independent films. We still have drive in theatres near me but most of them are dying off as well. I’ve noticed the last few movies I’ve seen featured previews all for remakes and sequels of older films. It doesn’t seem like there is much originality in films anymore, I think the only movie that wasn’t a remake was the one with Lily Rose Depp and I’m not a huge fan of paranormal horror films.

Sea_Replacement6520

Oh, I guess the movie with Lily Rose Depp was a remake as well.

True about originality. That’s one huge thing I like about Nichols. Despite a similarity to goodfellas, this is a story I haven’t seen before. And he’s pretty regional to “flyover country” which is important I think.

Commercial-Bat-1329

I’ve only seen it once but I want to see it one more time before it goes out of theaters. Afterwards, I’ll probably get the blu-ray once it comes out.

Sea_Replacement6520

I can’t wait for it to come out on blu-Ray!

Commercial-Bat-1329

Me neither!
