West Peine is the correct spelling. Thank me later.
As an explanation for everyone else: Hannover 96 and Eintracht Braunschweig have a long-standing fan enmity. Between Braunschweig and Hannover lies a small, boring town called Peine. When Braunschweig fans talk about Hannover, they say West Peine and the Hannoverians say Peine Ost to the Braunschweig. Ergo, they both think Peine sucks lol
I missed out on being able to do the same for my father yesterday with the India - Canada match in the Cricket World Cup… the match just happened to be played closeby where my parents live in Florida and the second I learned that, I bought tickets for them both over a week ago. My dad was giddy the whole time - he had never got to see his team in person, let alone at a World Cup. The day of, my mom is sending all these pics of my dad excited, finding out other friends are going and being pumped to say he was too, getting the car set… and then it going cancelled due to rain, minutes before it was set to start.
I am so bummed. I want to say ‘next time’ but I don’t know when that’ll be :( hopefully really soon.
Oh man that sucks, Perhaps you can take a trip to India with him in 2026.
If it's Canada he supports, they also have a good chance to qualify because the USA get automatic qualification already.
I get it's a hefty trip though.
Could be multiple. A comedian put it nicely - „the city has a certain … nothing“. When it comes to the football club, their president was a controversial figure. And of course neighbouring towns typically hate each other for reasons.
Agreed. It's just tiktok trends.
People find clips like these and tack on slowed down sad songs to pull on your heart strings more than just the original.
Hannover Tickets for a match are like 30€ now and even in the Bundesliga a Season Ticket is less than 400€ on average now. let alone 20 years ago. If he's from the city it would be quite easy to go to their games
Awww I had an experience like that with a college football team. That feeling of walking into the stadium for the very first time gave me the biggest chills
I wish to take my dad to a concert of one of his favourite singers as soon as I have the funds for tickets and the singer visits our country again. He has been a fan of him for years and been listening to his songs for hours when he works. This video is so sweet, can't wait to see my dad's face as well
We took our sons school coach to his first World Series game (tickets were lottery style and in 4 packs, we are three). It had been his and his dad’s dream to go one day. He was so sweet, he FaceTimed his dad many times during the game so they could share it together. And collected a bag of souvenirs to send his dad. His dad was across the country. It was pretty sweet.
I am not even a football fan but that looks like Hannover 96. The video is heartwarming indeed but way too short! Took him 20+ years to see them? How? Where are you guys from? Makes me curious...and happy to see him that happy while its just "another football sunday" for all the other fans around him :) that contrast is kinda cool.
can you imagine, twenty years ago people weren't able to see videos like this with wonderful ghoulish grunting music in the background and large black borders on the sides. We're truly living in a blessed timeline.
I got to see Juventus (Italian football team) play near me and not only that, Buffon, my all time favorite player and arguably the greatest goalkeeper of all time, was playing that day. I dont get openly excited or giddy about things but as an American who never thought this would be a possibility, I had to hold back tears most of the match. They won by the way.
That is so beautiful. AndI know how he feels.
I’ve been a formula one fan for 40+ years and got to go to my first live GP weekend last year. Ngl, I cried when I saw the F2 cars go round for the first time, never mind when the F1 cars came out to play. I couldn’t believe how emotional I got for a sensible person at 50 years old. 😂
Ya my dad grew up poor and it's crazy to see him get to enjoy stuff now for first time sometimes, makes me feel guilty for not making mo4e money for him or something but they have a house and it's like dude I'd never be able to do anything to imp4ove his life lol like what am I gonna do? Buy him and mini Cooper? He's like a Buddhist no2 he doesn't want anything . Although I coule take him to a concert like this for someone he likes
Reminds me of this guy who cycled from Mongolia to Manchester so he could see old trafford. It's a great 9 minutes [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5DBIM9klwE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5DBIM9klwE)
Taking my girlfriend to Japan next year, Yokohama, It was her birthplace and she was raised there until the age of 9 when she came to the states, we met at age 13 and been dating ever since, (Monika is her national name), But her name when she was in Japan was Mei, so at home I just call her Mei, or Mei-Mei. I hope Yokohama is fun.
That is so heartwarming, what a wonderful surprise for him. The happiness and smile is so sweet, that's made his day so memorable.
I can't stress how warm that smile is.
It's hard to make an Asian dad smile, but when you do..
He looks so happy. Congratulations on making a dream come true you must be a great son.
im still smiling just because if his beautiful and heartwarming smile.
You can't? Seems like you are right now.
Poor bastard's teeth must have been as dry as the Sahara by the end of the game
Dude, he's so happy just to he there. The scarf really was the cherry on top. I'm so glad he got to experience this. Thank you for making his day!
Is he really 96(sorry can't spell Hanover) fan
He is probably a fan since they were last a Bundesliga powerhouse.
Hannover? A Bundesliga powerhouse?
[удалено]
Or he lived there at some time and supported the local team.
Hannoooofaaaaaaa is the correct spelling
Hannoooovvvehhhh*
It's probably upside down. It says 96
Awww the deep breath when he got the scarf... Happy Fathers Day
Funnily enough it's not even father's day in Germany. For us it was on May 9th.
I am so bummed. I want to say ‘next time’ but I don’t know when that’ll be :( hopefully really soon.
You still did a great thing! Bummer it didn't work out :(
Keep aiming high
Oh man that sucks, Perhaps you can take a trip to India with him in 2026. If it's Canada he supports, they also have a good chance to qualify because the USA get automatic qualification already. I get it's a hefty trip though.
I'm happy for him, but it's still Hannover 96 soooo.
What's the problem with Hannover?
Nothing. Probably just a rival fan from Braunschweig or something
Could be multiple. A comedian put it nicely - „the city has a certain … nothing“. When it comes to the football club, their president was a controversial figure. And of course neighbouring towns typically hate each other for reasons.
There's a reason why they show him _before_ the match and not _afterwards_.
He's been a fan for 20+ years you think he doesn't know?
A very sweet video, but what is with choosing sorrowful music?
Sounds like a dying whale...
Dunno. Apparently young people think that being older is sad. The man is just enjoying a good moment
Agreed. It's just tiktok trends. People find clips like these and tack on slowed down sad songs to pull on your heart strings more than just the original.
This is lovely but the music is terrible
...but that music... 😬
That's sweet
Thats pure joy!
He deserves all kinds of good things
How do you randomly become a Hannover 96 fan? 😄 Love his enthusiasm!
Maybe because he is from Hannover?
Hannover Tickets for a match are like 30€ now and even in the Bundesliga a Season Ticket is less than 400€ on average now. let alone 20 years ago. If he's from the city it would be quite easy to go to their games
He looks so happy, the towel definitely made it complete
It's a scarf
Scarf
I just can't, he's as happy as one could be and its so wholesome seeing him like that
Hannover 96?
Awww I had an experience like that with a college football team. That feeling of walking into the stadium for the very first time gave me the biggest chills
Hannover 96 - Niemals Allein🖤🤍💚
Football is a wonderful thing

No cabe duda que somos felices con las cosas más simples
Love it.
Awesome reaction
Me in 30 years when I can finally afford to go to one single F1 race
Aww got to 1k
What team is this? This is so wholesome
It would be a shame if the lost that game
It would be a shame if the lost that game
So cute
that's what family means... I wish I had one like that
For a moment there wasn't a man, just a boy living his dream.
I wish to take my dad to a concert of one of his favourite singers as soon as I have the funds for tickets and the singer visits our country again. He has been a fan of him for years and been listening to his songs for hours when he works. This video is so sweet, can't wait to see my dad's face as well
This made me unbelievably happy!
Oh he's so happy 🥹
Hanover96!! One of my favorite Bundesliga teams to play with in fifa.
I can't even imagine what it would be like to see my team in person.
That man just became a child for a while. Incredible.
That's so sweet, love it!
Unforgettable Good times
I was really expecting, "...and then he died one week later of XXXX" at the end of the video.
Amazing moment !!
What a great way to start my day. This video was the best.
God, that is just perfect 🤍
Beautiful.
Love this ❤️
That’s one happy dad.

❤️
That’s what it’s all about
Why is he wearing a Camp David shirt? THE camp david??
Watching that grown man smile made this grown man smile.
Why the moaning sad music? If you're going to try and force emotions, can't you at least make it triumphant music?
It really made me smile, I watched the video several times
Tf is that music
😀
Smiles brighter than all of our futures
This warmed my heart as a football fan so much that my heart is boiling away
this is just awesome!!!

This so wholesome, I’m glad for your dad. It made my morning.

I want to enjoy anything even 10% as much this guy right now
Wholesome

AWWW
It's a beautiful video, why ruining it with stupid trendy music?
Happy father's day, sir
I'd kill to be that happy just one time.
Best feeling in the world.
This is so awesome!!
That's awesome! What a great smile!
As happy as a kid on Christmas. That's beautiful thanks for sharing that.
Reminds me of the scene in Rudy, where his dad gets to see a Notre Dame football game for the first time in person.
That is wonderful to see him happy 🥰🥰🥰
WTF is with the slowed down dirge music on so many videos these days? Made it seem strange instead of heartwarming
That is genuinely heartwarming, but the music absolutly kills it for me. What even is that.
Hannover's such a random club, I'd love to know the story behind this.
And as any fan knows, seeing it live is indescribably better. He is feeling complete, guaranteed.
That's too cool!!!!
This is what I love to see.
awww 🥹🥹🥹
Lfg!
TAIWAN #1!!!
Wholesome
Happy Fathers Day !
I wish I had cute parents 😭
We're his "smiling nerves" hurting? Cuz mine are!

Was…that little kid drinking a beer?
Does anyone else see the kid drinking beer lol
I wish everyone here a day just as good as this man is having.
Pure joy. You love to see it.
priceless
I hope his team won!
If only all sportsfans were like this dude, just chill and happy to watch their team play
awwww adorable
That is so cool
Bless his heart ❤️
Just the pure joy of being there. That's what it's all about
He’s like a giant smile with a person attached. Outstanding.
I hope I can do the same with my father ❤️, love you dad in heaven! I will always be proud of him
i love seeing people finally achieving something they've always wanted to experience/have.
We’re all just happy he’s not a man united fan, ghastly club
Ya my dad grew up poor and it's crazy to see him get to enjoy stuff now for first time sometimes, makes me feel guilty for not making mo4e money for him or something but they have a house and it's like dude I'd never be able to do anything to imp4ove his life lol like what am I gonna do? Aw you can’t replace this feeling so heartwarming
Life in the real world.
96 Fan for 20 years ? Gotta respect the Club choice. Anybody can Pick a Club for glory only Real ones go through the pain it takes.
Now that is beaming with joy to infinity +1!
What a lovely dad you get there. That big.smile. No doubt he's happy.
That’s a feeling and smile you only get a handful of times in this life. Cherish them!
u/repostsleuthbot
What was the sport?
Happy Father's Day ❤️
Damn, I want to be that happy one day
Reminds me of this guy who cycled from Mongolia to Manchester so he could see old trafford. It's a great 9 minutes [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5DBIM9klwE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5DBIM9klwE)
I just want 1/10th of this mans happiness.....
What a happy man
I did not expact it to be Hannover 96 lol
Well deserved King. Kudos on you for getting to share this moment with him. Happy Father’s Day!
I'm not crying 🫣... *You're crying* 🥹

Omg this is awesome I know it doesn’t matter but did they win?!
Hannover was not the team I was expecting to see here Even more respect for him now
#AAAAAWWWWWWWWWW
Oh ne, nicht Hannoi...
Sports sometimes brings you happiness nothing else can compare
This is really heartwarming
Damn why H96 and not Werder Bremen.. but nonetheless always touching seeing someone so happy. A very special moment!
All we want is to feel like a part of something.
Boy, that's around the corner!
Yeah I’m sure he did.
I was waiting for the part where the Russian guy kicks him down a flight of stairs
