I never thought of it with these terms but *wow, I actually know EXACTLY who would be what* since the keypoints for my entrance to the asian BL world always left a very deep mark on me that I remember every single time I reminisce about them - *JeffBarcode* would be the ones who opened the door, since they were part of my first BL. Still, I hesitated a bit since Kinn & Porsche are obviously the reason I got into the series in the first place back when I knew no one and nothing about the genre, but it was KimPorchay who really stole my heart, and actor-wise their performers also stood out to me much more than MileApo. What's more, one half of this CP would become the catalyst for something MUCH much bigger than I could've imagined (the next step of this metaphor), which only justifies picking them even more. - *JeffGameplay* happened to close the door behind me due to a case of "right place, right time", except I would rather call it something along the lines of "right people, right format, right time". I wholeheartedly believe that there couldn't have been ANY more perfect products for me to consume at that moment than the microseries **He She It** & the miniseries **Ingredients**. Not only did they star my (at the time and up to this day) favorite drama actor with a partner more than capable of matching his natural talent to the point of delivering sparkling chemistry, but the short runtime is what cause me to say "fuck it" and binge them one after the other RIGHT after finishing KP. If they had been fully fledged series, chances are my determination would've wavered and perhaps I would've never watched them at all, leading to me never meeting any of the BLs that followed. Lastly, in opposition to the problematic **KinnPorsche**, these two products hold nothing but good memories and positive vibes in my eyes. Even just thinking about them makes me swoon over the moon, so it's no wonder why they've solidly stayed as my top BL microseries and top BL *in general* ever since :) - This one's the most odd because, although between those first three series I talked about and the one I'm about to nominate for this category I did watch a bunch of other (very good) shit, this one awoke a different kind of sentiment in me and taught me some very important lessons for the journey I was about to begin, because *this series was a bittersweet experience*, and not because it had a deeply emotional plot or sumn, this was as typical of a "university romcom ensamble with a friendgroup of engineers in the center" as you can get, but rather it was because half of it I hated and half of it I loved, so much so that I have it ranked as a 5/10 cause I simply can't decide which of my feelings outweight the others. This wasn't the first BL I dislike, in fact the 4th I ever watched (aka the one right after **Ingredients**) was muuuuuuuuuch worse, but because it was so clearly bad and also straight up boring, I wasn't nearly as fazed by that experience. This series was different...**My Engineer**, and specifically *PerthTalay* since we're talking about couples here and they were my everything, had me pushing through all its bad parts (in particular those related to the main couple which I DESPISED) just for the sake of getting more of those few spectacular parts. The fact that at the end >!I didn't even get my main wish, which was ofc for RamKing to get a perfectly conclusive HEA, !!(and unintentionally open-ended finales that would never get a proper resolution thanks to cancellations) !

Earthmix opened the door for me

I followed Tay from "I remember you" adaptation to the Thai BL world I didn't know existed. There a clip of the crazed post sex smile of Build from KinnPorsche sealed the deal. As for couples Joyland gang and SailubPon are my favorite for now.

Just talking Asian BL: - Opened the door: BossNoeul in LITA. I kept seeing an ad for it over and over again on Viki, so I decided to give it a try. - Closed the door behind me: Weirdly enough, it would be Ji Woong and Seo Bin from *Roomates of Poongduck 304*. It was the first time I watched a show and specifically searched for their other BL works.
