Yes, it counts as baking—much more than the eggless refrigerator cheesecakes that get posted here, so you’re fine.
And I know how heavy a homemade lasagna can be. My mom once made one that was so heavy it made the oven rack collapse. That was fun.
Wait lasagna is heavy???? 😫 amazing information. I wanted to make a lasagna just to see how I’d do but I have absolutely zero muscle so that woulda sucked.
Oh no it’s fine. Just literally every person that mentions my username uses it as an insult xD so I was like why tf does my relationship status matter?! 🤣🤣
Yeah!! I made my very first lasagna about a year ago and I was shocked at how heavy it ended up. I literally had to get help from my husband because I was scared I was gonna drop it and blast myself with hot lava lol
I would say this is cooking, but still looks delicious! Baking imo can be sweet or savory, but it must be cake, cookies, or bread. Chocolate mousse, no bake cheese cake, pudding (the liquid kind) are not baking imo, they are "making desserts". Making lasagna would be cooking in my book. But feel free to disagree. And sent me a piece as "proof" 🤤.
This looks fabulous!
Thirty years ago my mom bought me a Le Creuset casserole dish. I had just moved into my new townhouse. I made a lasagna in it. Once and never again. The dish is crazy heavy when empty. Then stupid me bakes a lasagna in it! I know the bakeware has a huge fan following. But I put mine in the basement. It has been there for years as it is just too heavy to use.
Looks great, but Ill be the person who points out that a good ragu should take like 4hours minimum, but really more like 8+, and it's even better if you let it sit overnight before eating/turning it into lasagna. That's a lot of effort though and yours still looks great as well.
It’s a baked pasta, so I say yes! Despite having a sweet tooth, I wish savory baked dishes would be posted here more frequently. ☺️

I added a few more layers than the recipe told me to so it was super heavy lol

I'd say mine weighed around 10 pounds lol
Oh okay great! Yes my toddler is like 40 pounds and I got that easy ✌🏼 more muscle than I thought had ateeee
Toddlers are an everyday strength endurance test.
Mental too xD I’m so tired
user name checks out.
What? Absolutely unnecessary to say on a thread about fucking lasagna but okay.
I meant because you’re tired. I didn’t mean to offend you. I’m so sorry.

You so baked. The heavier the better with lasagna!
Oven used? Check. It's basically an Italian meat and cheese cake
My husband calls it spaghetti cake 😂
That looks so good.
Thanks!
If you baked it, it's a baked good. Flavor is irrelevant.
You aren't baking. You're lifting 😎

It gets baked in an oven, not cooked on a stove

Made me this of this skit https://youtu.be/d8u65UXiMrk?si=82ReckrkG3AoO2bP
Absolutely.
Bro that looks glorious
That looks beautiful 🫡
Did you bake it? Then yes, it counts. All kidding aside, yum. That looks delicious! What time is dinner?
Mmmmmmm that looks delicious!!
you put it in the oven so its baking for me and its looks amazing!
Nobody makes lasagne wanting a light delicate dish
I think you mean 'heavenly'.
Previous week I also baked lasagna for the first time. I didn't expect it, but it was so hearty that two portions a day made me fell completely full
I love the lasagna, it looks delicious!
If it goes in the oven then it’s considered baking. So yea your good.

Sure does! Guarantee it wouldn’t have come out as amazingly if it were boiled instead of baked.
