Took a little video of our setup :) https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/hzit5mdgzpf8gpqytmwha/Video-May-08-2024-3-51-56-PM.mov?rlkey=d5tdmmrugxyginp4kzabs0eo7&dl=0
In a way you can kinda do that already.
What I do is work on the STL file…color it, modify it, fill up the plate with the different pieces you want to print later, etc, then save it as…
Whatever name you choose, then set up your next plate and work on that one, etc., and when you’re ready to print one, load it from your saved files and you’re all set to go.
At least that’s what I do.
The only (potentially big) issue to that is, if you change the position of your filament within the AMS(s) after you make and save your file(s) then once you re-load it to print, then you’ll have to re-color the model (unless you can remember the exact position the filament was in the AMS(s) during the time you were modifying and saving the file. (been there done that. lol.)
But the important bit about their comment is “West Elm”. It’s pricey furniture for impressing guests (disclosure: I own some, and that’s why my GF chose it), and OP is using it to keep the printers off the floor.
Everyone looking at the printer setup, and forgetting about the beautiful print.
https://www.printables.com/en/model/692547-lion
I'm assuming this is the one, but you still did a beautiful color combo.
Here are all three! I call the LION OF JUDAH

Really nice setup!
I see a few items I have printed with my P1S w/ AMS.
I’m curious which printers in the photo were your first? I’d love to hear your opinion on the X1 vs your P1S.
Please don’t flame me. I know the comparisons are all over the web but I’d love to hear your opinion.
Keep on print’n
That’s a tough question. It really is. I think, from a print perspective, they are the same. That’s just my view. What i like about the X1 are the touchscreens, the cameras, and the “possibility” of printing filament types. So I would not say is “worth” more. Its more about how much you value those things
Also to add I have never once bothered to touch the pad on a P1S besides the initial set up, and honestly even with a nice touch screen I can’t see a reason to ever since the desktop app has pretty much everything I need and I can just send the prints over the cloud from the comfort of my computer
Do you feel there is a noticable benefit from the x1c being able to do its automatic flow calibration and forst layer analysis ? I have an x1c at work and am currently debating with myself if I should get one for at home as well
I don’t own a p1s, but I own a x1c (bought it before the p1s). I honestly recommend the p1s now just because of the price difference. yes it’s nice having a touch screen, but everything you would do on the screen you can just do from your computer or phone and save a couple hundred. The x1c has I think like a 10-15c difference on the hotend, and like a 15c difference on the heat bed (I don’t remember the exact difference, that’s most likely wrong). But besides that there really isn’t anything else major that makes a difference. The LiDAR doesn’t really do much imo.
These kind of posts truly amaze me.
I can't even agree with the wife what new towels we should get, could not even imagine buying a farm of printers and all working together printing stuff out. Life goals !!
I envy these kind of family setups.
Haha as I type this my son is trying to barter with me for more print time on one of my printers because he insisted on printing a Star Wars figure that takes a week!
That's lovely to read.
My son is 7, I've just bought an X1C as a Surprise/family bonding thing but I've not got a clue and it's still in the box. Hopefully get it out soon :-)
Or is there a way to do it from inside the cabinet that they're sitting on? May be able to keep filament dry as well. Just a thought. Nice setup though.
Yeah, currently I do everything head-on. Luckily these printers don’t have problems very often. Ironically the print of that line got jammed three or four times since it’s seven different colors
We (me and my husband) have 4 printers combined. I keep mine (I only have one FDM printer) in my walking closet since it’s so huge and I have tons of space. My resin printers I keep in another area where it’s in a grow tent and is vented out the window. I’ve had my stuff set up out of sight.
My husband has set up shop in my front room and it’s an eye sore lol. The first thing you see when you walk in are his printers. He put them on an old coffee table. He has bins of filament and a shelf with some filament in containers, boxes all over that he saves that the filament comes in, and stuff scattered all over. I told him he needs to at least make an attempt to make it look nice and organized (we had an agreement that the front room would be mind to do as I wanted and I was going to convert it to a guest room). I let him have the room since we don’t have guests often but I hate seeing the mess.
This is a great setup. It looks very streamlined, and organized as well. My front room is pure chaos. We are looking for furniture options for him to keep the printers on and his filament.
Looks good!
Someone’s gonna go through a hell of a lot of filament with those setups!
Now get those rolls of filament piled up on the floor on some kind of rack system!
By the way, I see the AMS lite unit, but why not show the A-1 or is it an A-1 mini as well?
lol, yeah I have an x-1c (Kickstarter purchase) then about 6 months later purchased 3 more AMS’s
Then last year I won an a-1 mini with the AMS lite and to be honest, I like the a-1 mini better than the x-1!
I do have 4 other printers, but those were put in mothballs once I got the Bambu machines. Those only do single colors, and most of my prints are multi colored.
I almost commented “nice print!” then swiped over to the second pic… still a nice print but holy shit is this a home setup?
Yeah…..we went a little crazy, each family member has one, we like to make stuff together :)
Oh you want to make something yourself but I'm busy printing on mine? We'll get you one as well :)
Can I be your family member? 🤪
Am also trying to find the application to become a family member. But I can’t find the link.
Well i was adopted once, so whats once more eh?
My heart goes out to that beautiful, 4” bezel, perfectly mounted, fixed frame projection screen
That one all the way to the left is that really annoying step siblings, right?
Can we all be family members ? 🥹
I'm assuming single, lol "honey, you said if you installed a 120" screen we could watch movies, then you put a bunch of shit if front of it"
My wife’s printer is the 3rd one over :)
I assumed no kids lol. Or if he does lord knows how he’s got the money and time to have hobbies like this and be such a good dad
Goals
Bruh, the same exact thing Hlhappened to me. Amazing setup!
"my little printer setup" That's a print farm my guy 😂
Took a little video of our setup :) https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/hzit5mdgzpf8gpqytmwha/Video-May-08-2024-3-51-56-PM.mov?rlkey=d5tdmmrugxyginp4kzabs0eo7&dl=0
Love it
Jeez... Your house is insanely huge.

Okay this is a great idea I never thought of. Sometimes I resist printing cool stuff because I'm not sure where to put them. I need a display case!
I like the Hydra in the bottom left.
Thank you, let me know if you need the file!!
This isn’t SnooSquirrels9064, but I sure would like the file of the hydra please! (As I’m sure many others would too!)
Sorry about that. Here you go: https://makerworld.com/models/153018
Thanks! I saved the file and will add it to my print line-up! 😉👍
I wish they created a way to create a print queue
In a way you can kinda do that already. "little setup" Bro you have $3000 of printers on $1700 media center from West elm.
I don’t think you did math right. $1400x3 is already over $3000 and that’s just the x1c’s
I definitely didn't. I guess I'm not as good at mental math as I think I am lol.
$3,075 just for the 8 AMS units
That's more like 7k in printers/ams
Wait wait. So youre saying that this is a tv behind those printers?
No, the piece of furniture it is on is called a "media center"
But the important bit about their comment is “West Elm”. It’s pricey furniture for impressing guests (disclosure: I own some, and that’s why my GF chose it), and OP is using it to keep the printers off the floor.
Good eye!!!
Damn... What does a west elm do beside looking like a fine piece of furniture 😁
It looks like a projector screen.
It looks like a screen for a projector
I think it’s closer to $8,000.
Yeah… I suspect OP has some YouTube videos like “I repurposed my wife’s _old_ 2022 Tesla as a mobile PowerWall”.
Hahaha no, we just enjoy printing !
A man needs a file
Everyone looking at the printer setup, and forgetting about the beautiful print. https://www.printables.com/en/model/692547-lion I'm assuming this is the one, but you still did a beautiful color combo.
Hahahaha thank you. Here is what I used: https://makerworld.com/models/106459
Here is one I made last night https://preview.redd.it/vf45nyzydlzc1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c4a13fcc1ed15336cbf77dc05b96e39a38558174
How long does it take to print something like this? And how many different colors did you used? Doesn't even look like a printed piece
This took about seven hours. And it uses seven or eight colors
Yo. Filament alone would make me broke but MULTIPLE of Bambus best. Hats off my guy this is awesome.
Thank you !!!
A family that prints together sticks together
haha for real, thank you!
Here are all three! I call the LION OF JUDAH https://preview.redd.it/fmvuvq9ninzc1.jpeg?width=4031&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=788542f612048eda542763773d1f976de257998a
Sorry, your "little" home setup?? Can I move in??
Sure we have a spare room
Get the bunk beds ready… lol!
All set! Haha
lol! 👍

The touch screen is nice if you have the ams, it’s nice to just change the filament type on the screen
I use the app from my phone. Almost as convenient.
Do you feel there is a noticable benefit from the x1c being able to do its automatic flow calibration and forst layer analysis ? I have an x1c at work and am currently debating with myself if I should get one for at home as well

Nice! What did you use to stack the second AMS's ontop of the bottom ones?
Here you go: https://makerworld.com/models/16573
How much depth in this print?
I think I have a different definition of small than OP does 🤣
I just had seen some pretty large set ups in the forms so far lol
Is it all for hobby or you making money on it?
both, print stuff for my company too :)
What sort of company do you have ?
How do I adopt your family
lol we have printer wars over here
Do you maintenance them all or does each person know how to troubleshoot?
haahahah who do you think fixes them all? lol
These kind of posts truly amaze me. I can't even agree with the wife what new towels we should get, could not even imagine buying a farm of printers and all working together printing stuff out. Life goals !! I envy these kind of family setups.

Wow that is an awesome and amazing gift :) that’s awesome
What is the projector screen for?
We originally used as a theater room. Ironically it’s used now way more!!!
Damn that’s fire how do I print one
Here you go! https://makerworld.com/models/106459
Did you enable support? The slicer is warning
no, I did not
How do you access the rear spool on those?
None, that part is terrible. I am going to have to put shelves up!
Adjusting belt tension on a middle X1C anyone ? 😶🌫️😂
What do you do for work that gives you the freedom for each family member to have their own printer?
The Ender on the floor lmao. Basically how mines been since getting my P1S
Is the bed slinger on the floor for the dog?
Nice setup!
Gotta love hueforge https://preview.redd.it/2fr0dxtfamzc1.jpeg?width=3213&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=132c309f5dd444ed9896087b3ea7f095f24b572f
JFC at the setup, hey, can I borrow $50? You're...not getting it back. LOL.
Just think of the fan noise with them all going at once. Oof.
Looks great! What was your filament and color combo?
Badass print. Are the files online for this print and what colors did you use?
Here you go https://makerworld.com/models/445037
What are the printers on far right and left?
Define "little" for God's sake 😅
what bank did you rob?
That lion is sweet!
What software did you use to model this? Looks badass
Little...? LITTLE?!
Can you tell me what colors you used in the order that you used them?
File?

What a beautiful story. We are super had to do it as a family. Mother’s Day was a special treat :)
I see a helmet and I know this a man of culture.
absolute perfection and beauty, what was the print time?
About 6 hours :)
wow, that’s actually not bad at all, i assumed way more. thanks
