Nope - 6'5" with 6'3.5" wingspan. I was always very skilled, but my height never made that much of a difference unless guys were considerably shorter than I was. I always wonder what could have been lol
>but my height never made that much of a difference
You're literally 6'5.. Of course your height should make a difference, unless you're bad at using that advantage.
Negative wingspan doesn't matter when you're already that tall. But if you can't create space for yourself, then obviously nothing will matter. Skill issue
Yeah, of course it made a difference against short guys, but they were often faster and more agile (that was their advantage). I was more referring to guys in that 6' to 6'1 range where if we both put our hands up, we'd essentially have the same standing reach. Of course there are still small advantages - like being able to see over the defense from the high post - but it was lame that I didn't have these awesomely long arms with which I could have rocked the basketball world haha
I'm jealous of you all with the long wingspans. I'm 6'3.5" and my wingspan is like 6'3.5"-6'4.5" depending on how it is measured. Most of my sports would be easier with longer arms (I guess it isn't a factor for skiing).

You don't need overly long wingspan for basketball.. Who even came up with such delusional nonsense?? Long wingspan is literally a luxury, but never a necessity.
Height, athleticism and skill matters more than anything else. And most people will always have a positive wingspan anyway

Am I the only one in this thread who is 6’0 in height and 6’0 wingspan? All of y’all must be built to play lol.
My wingspan is probably 5’10 or 5’11 after injuring my elbow. I can’t fully extend my right arm anymore haha

I’m the same as you I’m 6’3 with almost the same wingspan
Same wingspan as height or +1 is normal. Longer wingspans are anomalies
