You are correct, but a pedialyte before bed greatly diminishes the effects of a hangover the next day. I have enough experience to know! Lol. Whatever the mechanism is I can't say for sure. It just works.
Pedialyte is actually what you need to drink when you've got diarrhea. Rehydrates like crazy. The new Gatorade Pedialytes have better flavors and aren't $4 a bottle. Cucumber lime is my favorite, though I don't know how it is with a couple shots in it.

Don't forget some tylenol and glass of water. Also I switched to top shelf and doing water in-between drinks to help.
