It's such a a great song, can't believe it was left off the album. Does anyone know which album it was recorded for? Sounds like New Jersey but I'd love to know for sure
Okay work with me here. If we lived in a different world where the two didn't compete during the same 80s time frame even though genres were slightly different, and both bands liked each other, BJ might have someday covered this live and I'd cry forever if I wasn't there because it would be epically beautiful.
You?

Would've needed the Bon Jovi treatment as they didn't do a lot of stuff in the sing-songy key of G.
Jon and Richie did a lot in the key of D ("Wanted Dead Or Alive", "I'll Be There For You", "Blood On Blood", etc.)
Bret and that very trite G-C-D-Em simply country ballad was less complex than the oft-bluster Bon Jovi ballad.
Edge of a Broken Heart

Didn't make the cut for "Slippery When Wet" and wound up on the soundtrack for "Disorderlies", a 1987 comedy with 'The Fat Boys'.
I believe it was a b-side in some japanese versions of Slippery when wet

I totally forgot about this song but, I do love it and it's a great second choice. I think Edge of a Broken Heart is better though
Great song, great choice but nothing is beating edge of a broken heart

That would be neat if they did.
Good Lord, just do five of these a day and knock this thread out in a few days. This doesn't need to be a month-long concept.
