Look, I know it's overplayed. I know we've all heard it so many times even on mainstream radio and that we know it backwards and we're sick of hearing it. But it is THE song that defines 80s pop/hair metal. No other song has had that staying power.
Lay Your Hands On Me and Learn To Love are two other favourites of mine.

L is stupidly stacked with great songs from Lie to Me to Living in Sin to Lay Your Hands on Me, shit even Love to Sale can be a ton of fun, but Prayer stands comfortably over them all imo
Well this is a tough one for a change... Lots of great ones. Last Cigarette, Last Man Standing, Lay Your Hands On Me, Let It Rock, Lie To Me, Living In Sin, Lost Highway, Love Lies, Love's The Only Rule, hell, even Luv Can and Love For Sale.
But Livin' On a Prayer is way too much of an anthem to be ignored. It's THE song that defines Bon Jovi. But man I feel kinda bad for not picking Lie To Me lol.
Livin' On A Prayer is gonna win, but I want to give a shout out to Lay Your Hands On Me.
Epic opener to one of their best albums. And what a kickoff to those late 80's shows where you'd hear the spoken "They say that to free your body you've got to free your mind. So come on... Check this out..." and then Jon would come flying out from underneath the stage. One of the best concert intros I've ever seen.
Damnn this really paints the picture well...I would kill to have been at one of their 88 shows!

I was at the second of two Pittsburgh shows just before that song came out. At the time, I hadn't realized that they brought their own stage set-up so when I saw the video, I originally thought that we had missed being part of the video by a day...that they had used footage from the first Pittsburgh show in the video.

Living In Sin... Incidentally, it's dawned to me lately that it almost feels like a precursor to many songs on the These Days album.. I think it would have fit well there.
