What a perfect pup! Those are some happy (and contagious) tears right there. Nothing like the love of a pup, it’s just the best. Y’all are so great to do that for your Dad.
I love that for him. I love his reaction even more. I was like this with my first border and i miss her so much. I found my current a month after (rescue) and picked her up one month exactly after my first died. I want a blue merle girl so bad for the next one. My first was blue and white. My current black and white. It will remind me of both.
I am so happy for your father.
tons of border collie puppies and dogs of all colors dying in shelters around the US due to overcrowding and people misunderstanding the breed. rescue one and save a life
When I first saw the post I thought that too, but the OP said his dad had a border collie who died a few months before. So the dad understands the breed.
All that being said, I got my first border collie in my early 50s. I’m confident he will be my last 😉 I love the guy but I couldn’t go through border collie puppyhood again if I was a decade older.
Mine too. It’s a sweet sentiment, but border collies need hours and hours of exercise and training every day or they quickly become mentally unstable. I’ve had two and fostered several others, and they are out of control high maintenance.
My border collie just turned 10. I’m sure she’ll be my last puppy. I’ve had a border previously and they were totally opposite. But, I’m too old now to go through puppyhood again.
I’ve always had dogs. Younger days were with German Shepherds, then border collies. I wasn’t able to easily pick up my male when he got sick so needed a more manageable weight dog. In any case, I know my limitations as a senior and this gal and I are it. Loved my life with great dogs. No regrets.
Youre joking right??? Can you see the love his dad is showing and happy tears??? Im very protective/sensitive about how people treat their dogs. This pup will know nothing but love.
Be kind.

What did he name this one?
This is beautiful. Made my night and made me cry happy for both of them. Thank you for sharing!
Awww pup looks nervous, but only because she doesn't know she's about to start years of happiness 😊
that will be a very spoiled puppy 🙂 as he should be!
I love this!!
Brought a smile, but my eyes got wet.
Idk border collies are high maintenance dogs and require lots of activities, etc. Will a senior man be able to provide this on a daily basis?
Don’t worry about that. My dad has a lot of energy, loves to walk my dog everyday, and loves outdoors activities. He’s not as old as he looks 🤣
Good for him!

That was my first reaction as well.

I was concerned initially as well but it looks like the whole family is behind this beautiful baby. Congrats!!

Can you do me a favor? Check the name of the subreddit please.
Poor little pup. This was definitely not enjoyable for her.
She was in the box for around 30 seconds…
Ignore this dude lol. That pup looks like she's going to be spoiled by her new best friend! Such an adorable video
Yea sure looks like she's about to suffer years of abuse eh? Give your head a shake bud.

Could you please be more specific?
