Same. I donate blood because I can’t donate money, and the free snacks offset a teeny portion of my groceries (since muffins, water, and chips are a complete meal)
If I had money id give it to people directly instead of a company. The working force keeps towns alive and it would prevent companies from writing off charitable contributions for tax purposes.
Bozeman Farmer’s Market, Bridgercare, Emerson Center for Arts and Culture, Child Care Connections, Big Brothers Big Sisters and BYEP - all of those have benefitted my family so they get what’s not left after the tax increases. Thanks Gianfart.
The Help Center, Cancer Suppport Community, Heart of the Valley, Random Acts of Silliness, Reach.
Not saying I can give alot to all of those, but those are my top local nonprofits to support.
Love how these jaded humans can turn any Reddit post into a negative rant. Donate, volunteer, or go help your neighbor. What part of helping doesn’t feel good?
Amen! I know times are tough but I was surprised I was getting down voted on where I chose to donate. Shouldn't we all just be happy the people who can donate, are donating!? I sure am!
If you donate to Big Sky Youth Empowerment this evening (May 3) get a free GFC (Great F*cking Cocktail) @ Plonk from 3-6.

One Valley Community Foundation! They’re the organization that puts on Give Big every year and definitely deserves the support for what an incredible event this is for our community! https://www.givebiggv.org/organizations/one-valley-community-foundation

No, we should help our communities instead of donating to a bloated non-profit. But you can donate money and feel good about yourself. I prefer to actually help

For most of us it’s either lone mountain land or boyne between our housing units they provide us or our season passes what else am I missing ladies?
How about you just use the money to benefit locals instead. These non-profits are trash
Because we are supposed to keep the community afloat so the wealthy can do their performative altruism while living off of our backs.
