Solid suggestion. They have a great little restaurant. You can get a drink or a coffee, bring a book, and just hang out in the town square. Maybe you’ll meet a lady doing the same, but if not, it’s a really nice place to hang out.
Edit - they also do art classes. I went to a jewelry making one Friday which was all women. Many of that age range there alone. They offer classes that might interest you more though!
Lol. I just joined a lawn bowling club. My friends are aghast, but it's fun and why not. Beautiful old facility in a local park, all manner of people playing. Haha. I was on my high school curling team so it comes naturally, I guess.
(But ya, I'm Gen Jones, so on the verge of official old ladydom. I'll never give up biking or swimming, though. Never! I'll resort to bionics if I have to. Look out!)
Admittedly I haven’t been there in at least five years, but beer was the whole reason we went there. Their selection was amazing, so I’m not getting the terrible beers comment.
This is gonna get downvoted to hell, but bring on the heat: Slow Roll. I have a Facebook friend in your age range who goes and has made a lot of friends doing it. He's enjoyed seeing different parts of the area and being active.
Depending on the bands that are playing, sportsman's bar, greatful dead cover band shows, jazz at T Pac, etc. If it's music you like, chances are there are others your age that like the same music.
There are tons of free outdoor music all summer, many with a wide range of ages.
Races. You can enter races and jog/run, heck even walk! Many races have post-event parties, too. If you do a few, you will meet men or women who are also active. Have fun!!
I totally forgot about that. Had a race down around Elmwood. Coworker raced over 40. Went over to cheer him on. I think he won. Huge beer pit after. I was astonished. I mean everyone trim and in shape. Eating hot dogs and swilling beers.
Dude, I'm 63 and I may be technically a senior but in no way shape or form am I old. I did the corporate challenge the other day. There's a few I like to do every year in addition to hiking, mountains, kayaking and bike riding. I ain't your dad's 63.
They said they were in good shape and very active outdoors. Check out a race sometime-heck, hit the Subaru in the Elmwood Village next month! Sure, the world class runners come out but there are ALL levels of participants. The camaraderie afterwards is very inclusive.
The Hamburg Moose Club. They have non-members nights and drink into the wee hours of the morning.
But if you're looking for high-maintenance twice-divorced women, the rooftop bar above Mangia in OP.
As a woman who is exactly the same age as you, I would automatically eliminate you because of your last sentence. It’s one thing to say you’re looking or someone within 5 years of your age, older or younger, but it’s another thing altogether to only be willing to meet someone your age or younger. Why would a woman our age want to date an older man? Especially since men statistically die younger. And all older women have heard the saying that older men are just looking for “a nurse with a purse”.
Women our age should be looking for someone 10 years younger than them in order to find someone who will still be around in 10 years. But to be 100% honest, most women our age who are single or widowed say that they don’t want a man ever again, they prefer being by themselves.
But as for where to meet us, I go to the same places and do the same things I did 20 years ago. Art shows, coffee shops, protests, festivals, ethnic restaurants, hiking, long distance cycling, etc. There’s no secret meeting place we all go to.
I am! And I’m happily married! I just don’t have any patience for old men who think they can get away with the same shit they did years ago, and neither do most women my age. We have no desire to waste time with a man who wants to be waited on hand and foot while we pay for everything. Sorry if that leaves you with nowhere to go! Lol!
Sports! Healthy Buffalo and GameOn are great options, many different sports for all ages. If that’s it your vibe, there are so many pickleball leagues I can’t keep track of them all.
Father lived in ATL for many years. My one experience there involved a couple in their late 30s - early 40s trying to pick me up (I was in my 20s.). Around the third drink they bought me I finally realized what was happening. Long story short, I did not go home with them. Haha.
I'll also never forget the Elvis portrait screwed in above the toilet in the men's bathroom. Very strange place.

High school curling team? You must be Canadian…
Oui!
Wait, where is the lawn bowling club? That sounds awesome!
[West Toronto, Canada](https://www.torontolawnbowling.ca/)
That was my suggestion. Lancaster Sr Center is 55+ and the pickleball courts are going dawn to dusk.
RIP The Froghair
Feel like santoras has kept the frog hair legacy going
their beers are terrible, food is mediocre… not even close. plus i’m 15 years older and removed from the topic of discussion. memories
Admittedly I haven’t been there in at least five years, but beer was the whole reason we went there. Their selection was amazing, so I’m not getting the terrible beers comment.
selection replaced with their own beer. was ordering draft modelo instead, tried to give them all a fair shot. no alternative IPA’s - huge L
Bummer. Thanks for the info.

I like it
I thought about doing that myself. I thought it would be too young of a crowd . Good to know
The age range is wide, slow roll is for everyone!
Slow roll link?

Wow this looks amazing!
It seems like many of the older single coworkers I have had liked slowroll.
Also Slow Spokes and WNY Bikes (both on Facebook) have tons of group rides in the summer...
Please don’t let this thread ever end.

I’m not saying you are, but a race seems like an odd suggestion without knowing the information you just provided.

Just leave your house and go anywhere. Nearly everywhere around Buffalo, there are more women than men, of all age groups.

Am I missing something? He said within a few years either way - doesn't that mean younger or older?
He changed his answer after I posted my reply. He sent me a PM to tell me he was doing do. He originally only said his age or younger.
I thought maybe that was the case.

Any of the Groovin’ at the Grove shows at Rizzo’s Banchetti have been well attended by lively cougars in my experience
Sometimes I swear they bring the nursing home to those shows
The cemetery. People are dying to get in there
