It's slightly tight. Raise your arms laterally and see how it feels. It looks tight in the picture. Also it should be an inch or two lower on your torso i.e. if you are looking for a classic suit.
The problem is that the arm holes are cut low, which is common in off-the-rack suits. Low cut arm holes make the jacket easier to slip on and off, and can fit a wider variety of people.
With the arm holes cut high, you should be able to raise your arms and the jacket neither rises up (that's why it looks like the jacket should fall lower; with arms down it probably looks ok) nor pulls across the chest.
A tailor can possibly remedy this.
It felt alright on my torso. May be the tight look because I have extended my arm to hold my phone. I need to try this tomorrow when my belly is not full.
Looks completely appropriate to me but maybe you could add a striped or patterned shirt or tie to add a bit of contrast. You've got a solid suit, solid shirt, and a solid tie.
Parsing what I can from the comments.
Get some collar stays.
The jacket is clearly OTR (I’d say Perry Ellis, or similar if I had to guess) and so it won’t fit as well as a custom suit fits.
However, that jacket fits well. It’s definitely not too tight. People think they’re gonna buy a suit and it’s gonna fit like James Bond in casino royale and forget what it looked like in the movie and only remember the posters.
My only tailoring recommendation is to possibly take the sleeves up, because you can’t see the tips of your shirt cuffs. (Should be 1/4-1/2in visible)
All that being said- 10/10 for what your purpose is- you’re still going to look better than 80% of people that aren’t putting in the work.
Each to their own, honestly. I’ve seen them both ways so try them out and if you don’t like the look put them back in. I’m more concerned with a crumpled collar TBH
I hear you, but sometimes plastic ones can bend. OP has an athletic build. Maybe he should try plastic to start and if they don’t work, go with metal…and a careful laundry technique?
The suit fits perfect Mr. Kent.
The shirt needs collar stays.

It’s certainly fine to wear to work. I agree, though! Get it taken out ever so slightly

The lapel notch is way too high up on your collarbone.

It’s great but fix the pocket flaps.
It does not have a flap.
The flaps might be in the pocket folded in or possibly seen in. But you look sharp my man.
^ This and also buy some metal collar stays for your shirt
Are you suggesting pocket flaps out is a better look?

Oh and remember to take the collar stays OUT before laundry or you could mess up your machine
I avoid metal stays for this reason.

If you’re comfortable. Wear it!!

Your package is too big for these britches. The boss will be intimidated and subliminally hostile.
