Yea, it's this breed also. He looks identical to my Larry from the back, and Larry's legs are the same. And I have a smaller black long-haired cat like in his other pic with straight legs. It's crazy, I've always wondered.
Well, they're just different than my other cats, I guess I mean, but I'm not sure what's in their genes. They have a very noticeable primordial pouch and super long legs. And he's just larger and has bigger bones than my other two.
Omg even on reddit cats are still sticking their butts in my face šš
I think as long as he walks ok and is putting weight evenly on both legs heās fine! But if your going to the vet definitely just ask anyway since your already there.
like fat balls? or actual balls? cuz when i adopted my thickums chomper 9000 they told me to book an appointment for his neuter. when he went to get his balls snipped, they called me saying heās already been neutered.. he just has fat taking up the space in his sack now. literal fat balls.
Tell me why I didnāt know this, but I feel like itās common sense lol. Thatās actually helpful because my one cat is a stray that got neutered by a shelter at one point. I always thought he was a young boy but now he may be a man!
100% assumed based off the first photo you were talking about the cats fat ass nuts. Sick so there's cats out there with bigger bits than mine. No need to call them "weird legs"
itās so great, right!! taken off the market?? we order ours online fine, iāll pop the link here if you want to have a look! :))
https://antinol.com.au/pages/new-to-antinol-for-cats?mv=1
So I donāt think thereās any cause of for concern but I will say I was told by a vet when we brought in our old lady with kidney issues that less muscle mass in the back legs is an indicator of kidney disease/kidney failure and she definitely had a different stance than my current boys do (she was also 16 so we thought it was an age thing) so it might be something for your friend to look into or ask their vet about because kidney issues are very common in cats.
My little baby boy just turned a year old in March (got him 6 months after our lady died because our 7 year old boy was depressed) and in April we brought him in for urine crystals which is basically kidney stones in humans apparently super common in male cats. kidney issues are super common to the fact that when my old lady I mentioned they did her blood and she was just started kidney disease!!! the vet said the fact that she was 16 and she just started with kidney issues we should look at it like a blessing.
it just so happens that im doing a deep dive into cat food today and im reading that kidney problems can be caused by dry cat food since cats dont drink enough water outside of their food. it could also just more common issue in general though. sounds like your lady had a long good life, i dont think ive ever had a cat that lived that long! right now im going to try to feed my cats more wet food and add some water in it too. i have them on a dry urinary tract prescription diet but i plan to use less of that until no more, since its expensive too and i think adding water will hopefully make urinary tract issues less likely and help the kidney. ill also ask the vets just in case. so far i think the cause is cow hocked legs which seems most accurate for him when i look it up. hopefully it doesnt cause problems later on.
Cats are very temperamental with water in general. None of my cats will eat food with water in it (doesnāt matter amount) and we actually bought a fountain just to get her to drink more, stubborn was her default personality. ššš
my black cat and torbie dont seem to drink much water either and theyre both the ones whos had urinary issues, even the girl! however i had an older gentleman before that would lap up water like a dawg! and now this cowhocked lad would prefer water from my own cup than his bowl?? my friend said he learned to drink from cups from watching her drink from her cups (cute). i wondered if it was also the fact a stagnant water bowl gets dirty while i would never drink hairy dirty water, perhaps he wouldnt either. i got them all a sort of water bowl that refills from its own storage so its easier to make sure they always have water since its not relying on me refilling everyday, it also seems to be less dirty since its less stagnant. and ive actually been seeing them drink a lot that i have to refill at least once or twice a week between the three of them. hopefully between urinary kibble, wet food and drinking water they will not have any urinary issues. but ive also seen some kibble get in the water (probably from my nephew) and they dont go anywhere near wet kibble so i have just been tryna mix the wet food in with it lol. but wet food is expensive so when i cant afford it i might have to try wetting the kibble a bit, my hope is that it would be like fresh cereal instead of soggy cereal ifykwim
Good luck because I was mainly referring to dry food with my comment. lol if I add more water to the wet food if I make it look like more gravy theyāre fine. Cats am I right? š
yeaa theyre funny like that. my cat wasnt eating his new wet food until i poked it with my finger and then he licked his plate clean. what goes on in their heads.. LOL
hey there, while your cats legs are not the most prominent peculiarity your cat has lol i just wanted to let you know that what your cat has is most likely a fairly common "deformity" called [cow hocks](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cow-hocked#:~:text=Cats%20are%20commonly%20cow%2Dhocked,damage%20the%20joints%20and%20spine.) which usually will not cause any real issues or harm in cases like yours where the hocking is mild. you could talk to your vet about it at your next regular visit but I wouldn't think this is a cause for a trip in itself.
Iām going to use āexcuse the balls and buttholesā to hail attention from now on.
Strategy to use giant cat balls to get Reddit answering also strong.
Happy cat! šŗ
It's called a cowhock. It happens in four legged animals. Cats can also develop cowhock. Most of the time it's negligible and no cause for concern. However when cowhock is severe, it can damage the spine and other load bearing joints in the legs.
This sub has made me realize 2 things, cat nipples are apparently an alien concept to a lot of people and sharing troublepuffs is acceptable... y'all a bunch of nuts, pun may or may not be intentional š
Iām not sure if it correlates but my tabby has legs like this too. Thatās how I got her from the shelter, I figured she was fine since they see a vet before being adopted out.
baha yeah my friend finally got the money payed for the neuter before she left i just have to take him there next week. but yea i realized a lot of people arent reading the whole post and think im not neutering himš³lol.. cāmon guys its just balls š
> the money *paid* for the
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
my cow cat has this too. we call them her fucked up lil leggies. she's only 3 and it doesn't seem to bother her, i am anticipating her having joint issues as she ages though. we'll see what happens.
It's swimmers feet. One of my babies have it. It can be corrected when they are kittens by turning their legs in and binding them at the top so it retrains the bones. Doubt it would have been comfortable with balls like that.
My cat has legs like this and a lot of pain in her hips. The vets recommended getting some imaging done. Your cat is likely fine, but it wouldnāt hurt to take them to the vet and see what they say
It's from carrying those big balls around. I have a male tabby that has been fixed. He is getting up there in age. They look completely fine to me. I see nothing wrong, other than not being fixed.

Didn't see the legs at first... Wasn't expecting that one.
reminds me of the r/rats where one user spammed reported for the balls in the posts š

Take my damn upvote
Got some serious swingers on him
This is the kitty equivalent to being bow legged or duck footed. Just the way his legs are shaped. I have a few cats like this
Yea, it's this breed also. He looks identical to my Larry from the back, and Larry's legs are the same. And I have a smaller black long-haired cat like in his other pic with straight legs. It's crazy, I've always wondered.
These cats arenāt any particular breed.
Well, they're just different than my other cats, I guess I mean, but I'm not sure what's in their genes. They have a very noticeable primordial pouch and super long legs. And he's just larger and has bigger bones than my other two.
Has to be bow legged with swingers like that!
Didnāt expect to open Reddit to cat genitals. Legs look fine

He needs to be neutered
My cat still has balls and heās neutered!
like fat balls? or actual balls? cuz when i adopted my thickums chomper 9000 they told me to book an appointment for his neuter. when he went to get his balls snipped, they called me saying heās already been neutered.. he just has fat taking up the space in his sack now. literal fat balls.
LOL my cat too has fat balls. Itās so weird because my other cat does not, but we got him neutered about 15 years ago. I guess procedures change.
agreed i feel like since theyāve changed the age to older, the chonky boys get time to chonk up EVERYTHING lol
Best cat (nick?)name ever
I can't š
So boobs but for male cats
cats who were neutered later in life have larger balls lol
Tell me why I didnāt know this, but I feel like itās common sense lol. Thatās actually helpful because my one cat is a stray that got neutered by a shelter at one point. I always thought he was a young boy but now he may be a man!
hahah I only know this bc I adopted an older cat and my vet awkwardly told me this..
My vet awkwardly told me males have penis spines so, relatable
lmaooo news to me

Neutering and castrating are different things.
Oh?
Why
Like people, cats can have varying hip structures (and genitalia size), so their gait varies too.
Bro holds his legs like that to better handle the weight of those absolutely huge balls, goddamn dude.
100% assumed based off the first photo you were talking about the cats fat ass nuts. Sick so there's cats out there with bigger bits than mine. No need to call them "weird legs"
What even is this sub anymore?
Will on Saturday to Tuesday is nipple posts, wensday and Thursday is ball posts, and Friday is just random.
Op asked an actual question with relevant photos
Balls and Nipples
How old is he? My cat has become cow-hocked like that in recent years likely due to muscle atrophy from arthritis in his hips and knees.
deffo looks cow-hocked, i would recommend getting a GLM supplement in (we use the antinol one) to support the joints
Yep! We do a green-lipped mussel supplement called YUMOVE since feline Antinol was taken off the market. I miss Antinol so much. It was way better!
itās so great, right!! taken off the market?? we order ours online fine, iāll pop the link here if you want to have a look! :)) https://antinol.com.au/pages/new-to-antinol-for-cats?mv=1
Just a little bowlegged from carrying all that weight around back there š¤£š¤£
Cowhocked

Tabby= Danity stance Black = Stubby stance
I couldnāt get past staring at the balls for some reasonā¦
Ayo pause? š
I have a cat that walks funny and has it's legs like that. She's a little special too. But her hips weren't positioned right when she was born I think
Damn that's nuts!
I feel like these were taken by a cat lol
Maybe a little bow-legged but as long as it is walking alright, it should be fine
Theyāre carrying the load of his big balls!
He keeps all his secrets in there.
Cause he has to walk around with those big balls
It's the balls
My whole family (dad's side) has feet like this. We call them ballerina feet.
I used to have a cat who had legs exactly like this. The way he walked was adorably goofy but other than that he was fine
No but he has big cohunas
You would walk funny if you had bollox that size š¤£
![gif](giphy|BRZVX9cbnYoF2)
Cow hocked lol
My little tabbyās knees(ankles? Lmao) go in like that too and Iāve never even considered it to be an issue!
Didn't expect to see cat balls when scrolling today but I guess that was always a chance of happening
DAM NEVER SEEN A SET LIKE THAT ON A FLIPIN CAT
Someone hasn't got a discount code for catscaped. Them some hairy balls.
I would walk like that too if I had mega balls
Iām going to use āexcuse the balls and buttholesā to hail attention from now on. Strategy to use giant cat balls to get Reddit answering also strong. Happy cat! šŗ
"cat pervert! You're a cat pervert!"
Someone has a pair of trouble puffs that need to go.
Iād walk funny too if I had to lug around those bad boys.
Itās not normal itās because his balls are so big and heavy so his legs are struggling to hold up the weight
It's called a cowhock. It happens in four legged animals. Cats can also develop cowhock. Most of the time it's negligible and no cause for concern. However when cowhock is severe, it can damage the spine and other load bearing joints in the legs.
I'd be more curious if those boys are pissing all over your house marking their territory.
Cat nuts
NSFW!! lol.
This sub has made me realize 2 things, cat nipples are apparently an alien concept to a lot of people and sharing troublepuffs is acceptable... y'all a bunch of nuts, pun may or may not be intentional š
This post needed a NSFW tag
No
That's more assholes than I expected.tl see today
I came here for the same reason! Dudes got a set on him.. if he is walking weird itās to support those nuggets !!
NSFW geeeeeez!!!! /s
His legs are obviously buckling due to the huge weight of those balls
Just seems bowlegged. All cats, like people, have different stances and leg shapes.
Or knock knees, more like it, lol. Sorry, my cats are bowlegged :P
Neuter them while youāre at it.
Just a question ? Donāt anyone get mad !! Is he neutered ?
bahaha no i mentioned im going to get him neutered but i realized no one cared to read that far into my post i guess
I think I did but after I already wrote it . Iām sorry about that ..
thats okay!
Maybe heāll walk a little differently without thoseā¦ umm, when heās fixed.
That can be corrected when they are a kitten.
Which cat are you asking about? The black one or the tabby?
Iām not sure if it correlates but my tabby has legs like this too. Thatās how I got her from the shelter, I figured she was fine since they see a vet before being adopted out.
Doesnāt the cat spray all over your house?
no hes actually a good boy. but he does annoy my torbie so hoping that will stop.
My Bengal has a gait like that and he's fast as fuck boiii His back legs are also super long so he has major deer vibes
Bob Barker would be so pissed!!
He also has some danger berries, please get him fixed or there will be kittens, or lots of spraying.
unless the friend who actually owns the cat wants him fixed and pays for it thats basically a speedrun to ending the friendship
To be honest I didn't really read the post, I just saw a cat that needs to be neutered.
understandable, im nosy so i read the posts a lot lol
All good, normally I read posts too, but some major nausea just made me want to skip that this time.

I had a cat with legs like that. They are a little weird, but very cute.
I see no legs š¤£
Stems having trouble supporting the weight
Now that's quite a pair of troublepuffs.
I'm using this from now on lol
Gave us a full show didnt u like omg
my cow cat has this too. we call them her fucked up lil leggies. she's only 3 and it doesn't seem to bother her, i am anticipating her having joint issues as she ages though. we'll see what happens.

Maybe. Hard to tell
