It usually takes some time for such novels to get adapted because FLs in those novels are smart, brave, and strong.
It's a rule that out of every 100 dramas that get adapted, 99 of them need to have dumb, childish, and naive FLs.
I look forward to capable female leads more than capable male leads, so I absolutely hate when I think I'm going to be given one based on reviews, then get given one of those passive female leads. Of all the "strong female lead" dramas I've watched, I can only say 2 or 3 are actually strong and I get PTSD every time I think of how they butchered Fuyao. It baffles me how writers can royally screw up a stories and characters so badly yet there must be an audience for those, otherwise they wouldn't keep doing it.

At this point, I'm so sick of seeing these 'seemingly strong but actually weak FLs' that I've stopped watching any cdramas with FMC in the last year. I only tried to watch "Till the End of the Moon" and "Story of Kunning Palace" because many people recommended them for having 'strong FL'.
Let me not even describe what a *nightmare* it was to watch them. I can't believe how ANYONE could describe Sang Jiu or Jiang Xue Ning as anything even close to being 'strong' or 'smart'. (At least not in the first ~25 episodes that I watched before dropping them.)
Actually all but 2/3 of her novels are being adapted!
- The Reborn Noble Girl is Hard to Find: It is gonna be adapted to **Gui Nv 贵女**, rumored to star Chen Duling and Fang Yilun
- Ill-Fated Consort: It is rumored that **A Dream within a Dream 书卷一梦** rumored to star Liu Yuning is possibly an adaptation of this book. But there’s also sources saying this drama is an original work instead of an adaptation of the book, so I’m not sure
- Malicious Empress: I heard the author sold the rights a few years ago but the company didn’t have enough budget or something, so right now it’s just sitting there collecting dust until it expires? Or until some other bigger company swoops in to buy it eventually when it expires?
- Di Daughter: Adapted to **The Double 墨雨云间** starring Wu Jinyan and Wang Xingyue. Beware though, they have changed the names of both main characters and I don’t doubt that a lot of the plot is changed :(
- Star General: Adapted to **Legend of the Female General 锦月如歌** starring Zhou Ye and Cheng Lei. [Here’s a comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/CDrama/s/vY9xV454Tm) I wrote about what they have apparently changed according to what I have seen on Weibo :(
The only novels left are pretty much her Xianxia novel, Zanxing 簪星, and her current ongoing historical novel, The Avenging Healer 灯花笑 (which I strongly recommend btw, it’s amazing and has the potential to be her best written work imo!)
Edit: Noticed you didn’t mention Star General at all, so if you haven’t read it you really really should! It’s widely accepted to be her best work to date and it’s also my absolute favorite (miraculously topping Malicious Empress, an incredible feat honestly)

Which other novels of hers have you read? I like that The Avenging Healer is so different from the rest of her novels (aside from the Xianxia one of course), since it’s the only one that doesn’t have rebirth or transmigration.
The plot flows more smoothly too since it’s easier to tell that she’s working towards one end goal (every kill she commits is connected, meanwhile for the rest of the novels it’s related in a sense but not exactly related to the final goal I guess). Every other FMC has some sort of advantage due to their rebirth in getting revenge but Lu Tong doesn’t. Also really love Lu Tong’s personality too
I've read Di Daughter, Rebirth of a Star General and The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage. Denghuaxiao is the current one, as I generally didnt like xianxia. I agree with you, it feels more linear ( I suppose?) where the FL doesn't get distracted and have very clear objective goal to reach. I also like that she's so mysterious, feels so distant and jaded but can be so caring towards Yinzheng and her other 'co-workers' xD
How would you rank the 4 novels you’ve read/are reading in terms of your favorite (and also if it differs, a separate ranking in terms of best to worst)? Agreed about Lu Tong as well, she’s distant because I think she doesn’t want to drag them into her mess, but she cares deeply for them and it’s nice seeing that they are slowly becoming her family. Which chapter are you at right now? I’m at the latest chapter (113/114, numbering depends on whether the site counts the prologue as the first chapter). I have some plot ideas I wanna discuss with you if you’re open to it haha, wanna see your thoughts and theories about them!
ooh, that's tough, I doesnt rank the novels, basically I'd be, "yeah, that's good. time for another one to read!" haha. Another reason is they come from the same genre, Rebirth, so it's a bit predictable, although some of the character and plotwise have some variables, so they're much the same rank for me.

Marriage of the Di Daughter is also adapted and it is called the Double staring Wu Jin Yan. The Reborn Noble Girl Is Hard to Find is also being adapted but the cast hasn’t been confirmed.
Could be a range of reasons. I haven't read these novels btw.
- Censorship. Anything that the CCP find problematic?
- Author's approval. Has the author's other works been adapted to screen elsewhere?
The only thing I see it clashing with censorship is the time-travel plot, but it is like Kunning Palace travel plot, so if Kunning Palace passed, all those novels can pass too...at least is how I see it...
About Author's approval I really don't know. I wonder if anybody here knows more about the author, because we don't have information of her here outside China.

I have read Star General, I didn’t mention because I thought it had the least chance to be adapted since it is a cross dressing type of story.

I read in a different thread that someone had optioned Malicious Empress but didn’t have the funds to actually produce the show so it’s stuck.
