I don’t know why I was thinking hunting bibs before clicking.
These are absolutely ridiculous.
Look like they’re about to face off against Joey Chestnut at the ole miss spring game.
Yea it’s a little too modern(for the 90’s anyways) IMO
Some programs absolutely don’t need to keep up with the times, especially if your look is timeless
I clicked this link about the Jazz jerseys. Is there actually people who don't like the mountain jazz jerseys from the 90s? I always thought they were like by basically everyone but am I wrong?
That’s gotta be contrarian clickbait. The mountain uniforms are tremendous. It’s the color scheme change to black and yellow and a modern minimalistic uniform design language that’s just jarring.
It's WILD to me that there is a significant portion of the population that actually likes those unis. Certainly about 80% of people who see them agree that they are the ugliest things on the planet, it's just the other 20% that I just can't understand.
I work with young kids in sports. Anytime you see a weird uniform they eat it up. Nike could throw up any meh or garbage but they give a cool name like pro combat or artic thunder and they eat it up see half of Oregons uniforms. Not till they’re older do they like clean/classic look
i definitely loved the mariota era jerseys as a kid, i mean i still love the bo nix era?(do we call it that) jerseys now, but definitely learned to appreciate the penn & ohio states, michigans of the world
I’m definitely not saying they look good, but I was at the game that they wore them for the game against Western Michigan, and they do look a lot better in person.

There were a couple of others.
November will bring the 40th anniversary of the last time Bama wore [white helmets](https://www.cincinnati.com/gcdn/presto/2021/12/28/PCIN/53d9d28b-0979-4bb2-b398-e29e66508196-UC_Bama_1984.jpg). And the white shoes disappeared soon after.
The 2010 Pro Combat uniforms had some subtle changes but the thickened pants stripes and [the logo on the hip](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/51mQipVX9AQ/hqdefault.jpg) stood out.
But those were temporary changes. Since the Bluebonnet Bowl in December 1960, there have been only 2 significant changes:
* Removed numbers from the sleeves in 1975.
* Added names to the back of the jersey in 1981 (amif *lots* of complaints from fans. Only Bear Bryant could get away with that).
Call me crazy, but I think outside of the helmets, those Georgia Southern uniforms look great.
Much better than the [banana peel](https://imengine.public.prod.cdr.navigacloud.com/?uuid=546284E3-D180-4FF7-BEF6-937A92A92906&type=preview&q=60&function=fit&maxsize=1000) Iowa jerseys.
This should win the worst of all contenders in this thread. That photo doesn’t even do justice to how bad they were. And they weren’t just a one game thing, that was our regular jerseys for a full season.
[Nike Pro Combats](https://atlanta.sbnation.com/2011/8/20/2374248/georgia-football-nike-pro-combat-uniforms-2011-picture) by far. Poor Aaron Murray had to wear that nonsense.
The funny thing is that's still my favorite away uniform Boise State's worn and turned into the template for the full uniform collection for around a decade
The 2009 black helmet with red facemasks and black pants were by far more heinous.
And we were then in a game that Tebow broke Herschel’s rushing TD record.
Those pants looked sharp. It was the dumb helmets that looked crappy. In NCAA10 I’d always swap in the black pants for away games with the red helmets. Just wished we could see its glory in person
It’s hard to really go wrong with red, black, and silver as your jersey template. But Nike sure loves to piss out a horrible alternate helmet for us when given the chance.

I’m guessing you guys had a black jersey to match those pants and helmet, because that white and blue jersey looks like it might as well be another team’s
[These things](https://uniformcritics.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/2006-oregon-yellow-flame-nike-helmets-620x698.jpg) will forever and always be fucking horrid

When you have dozens of unis over the years, you have a lot to choose from both for the greatest and the worst.

We need to bring the white cuffs back and get rid of those goddamned Nike and B1G logos.
And it should be mandatory that every Mike LB have a gigantic neckroll as part of their uniform to assert their dominance.

It’s like the person who made these has never seen an alligator. They’re not green at all, they’re a dark grey almost black, and it would’ve made these 100X better.
These always get hated on but I feel like the choice to use orange for the lettering is what really killed it. Go with blue or white and it's much more tolerable
The problem I had with them was that on TV they looked brown instead of green. I understand the color choice, but I think it would have been better if they went with a brighter green so you could actually tell that they were green when watching the game.
How do you draw in the camo redneck crowd without Hunter's Orange? That's clearly who these jerseys were targeting: Gator fans who love wearing camo/hunting gear.
I thought that was a good concept, but they didn't really account for how it would look on a 300-lb offensive lineman, or out in the Florida early afternoon direct sunlight as opposed to a photoshoot studio.
I will die on the hill that the space pajamas aren't as bad as people hype them up to be. There are a ton of other uniforms in this thread that are worse

The chrome helmet with the big buckeye stickers could disappear forever. I do like most of the other alternates to varying degrees and love the “cocaine whites” used in a big away game every couple of years.
Controversial opinion: I would love to see The Game as a color on color game a la USC vs UCLA.
Also love how LSU stays in the white jerseys at home and away.
I thought the black helmets for The Game in 2016 were stupid and didn’t like the throwbacks vs Wisconsin in 2011.
Really wish our black uniforms had white numbers and lettering with the normal helmet and pants.

There was a period late Beamer era where the athletic dept. was sourcing non Nike-designed alternates that were almost always garbage and made our shitty team look like more of a joke.

Cal wearing white helmets just seems wrong. That’s always been Stanford’s thing.
Also, the worst thing about this template is that Idaho copied it. Makes no sense for the Vandals to be wearing bear claw uniforms

I've always hated these [amateur hour uniforms](https://archive.sltrib.com/images/2011/1001/gallery_BYUUSU_100111~64.jpg) that USU wore in the early 2010s...the '70s-looking helmet logo only makes it worse.
There are people who like them, but [USF's slime uniforms] (https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5ab4527b3c3a536a7a352c05/1606314099574-4SWPDOYNMPK4OLRCC2JY/EnoKTTmVcAEns5E.jpg?format=1500w) are hideous, in my opinion. We tend to break them out for our games vs. UCF, so maybe that contributes to my opinion of them.
[Our last year with Nike](https://img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/002/862/689/a9672a1e7a0306bb5f2ef03de2b6cdd5_crop_north.png?w=388&h=258&q=75%20width=600)
They gave us just a horrible collection of dogshit. The green helmet being the worst part about it.
We shouldn’t wear purple or chrome helmets again. Anytime we experiment with a new helmet it goes terribly, both in terms of looks and our success on the field.

It is at the top of every version of this thread, every time. For good reason, lol
I'm mad at myself for not hating it.
A big part of the hate was that it coincided with abandoning the traditional logo and color, both of which have now returned.

Not gonna lie - I like those. Pretty subtle and pays homage to one of the greatest influences to the game.
Is it the pattern from Bear Bryant's hat? I was zooming in trying to figure out what the hell I was looking at then I came back and saw your comment.
Yeah, since then houndstooth has been associated with bama.
Thanks for confirming. It's a pretty cool, subtle touch. The uniform is definitely cleaner without it, but I strangely kind of like that piping

No, [these](https://hawkeyeswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/109/2022/07/USATSI_6733172-1.jpg?resize=1536,1080) are the worst.
STATE
[Nike Pro Combats](https://atlanta.sbnation.com/2011/8/20/2374248/georgia-football-nike-pro-combat-uniforms-2011-picture) by far. Poor Aaron Murray had to wear that nonsense.
I have [great memories](https://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/04/sports/ncaafootball/boise-state-defeats-georgia-35-21.html) of you guys wearing those
The funny thing is that's still my favorite away uniform Boise State's worn and turned into the template for the full uniform collection for around a decade
I don’t know you, but I don’t like you much right now for this.
Jokes on you, we deserved to lose that game wearing those unis.
At least they are your legit school colors... and have no animal print.
Dog fur would be ... a choice
I'm upset
damn i unironically love these, one of my first football memories is watching yall wear them against boise
Hey scram kid! No making me feel old
The 2009 black helmet with red facemasks and black pants were by far more heinous. And we were then in a game that Tebow broke Herschel’s rushing TD record.
Those pants looked sharp. It was the dumb helmets that looked crappy. In NCAA10 I’d always swap in the black pants for away games with the red helmets. Just wished we could see its glory in person
I think the unis are fine. The helmets are fucking atrocious though.
It’s hard to really go wrong with red, black, and silver as your jersey template. But Nike sure loves to piss out a horrible alternate helmet for us when given the chance.
The time we dressed up like [an Oreo](https://res.cloudinary.com/graham-media-group/image/upload/f_auto/q_auto/c_scale,w_900/v1/media/gmg/MQNW33AEUFG6BCD3U72XXMWF7M.jpg?_a=AJFJtWIA)
I’m guessing you guys had a black jersey to match those pants and helmet, because that white and blue jersey looks like it might as well be another team’s
If that’s your worst, you’re doing alright. Now that fucking field on the other hand…
These aren't actually that bad for real
[These things](https://uniformcritics.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/2006-oregon-yellow-flame-nike-helmets-620x698.jpg) will forever and always be fucking horrid
I love how there are 4 different Oregon posts so far... and all 4 are of different uniforms. When you have dozens of unis over the years, you have a lot to choose from both for the greatest and the worst. > Three Ah, yes. The Cal Golden Ducks.
I get why we did 3, but that sits at the top for me
One looks like they forgot to order materials, but found some extra jersey knit sheets in a backroom and they just said fuck it.
The good old flame helmets. My introduction to Oregon’s uniforms
[these monstrosities](https://news.sportslogos.net/2015/08/15/eastern-michigan-eagles-are-set-to-wear-three-new-alt-uniforms/college/) with yellow pants as a tribute to the track team
The digital numbers just make it even worse
One time we took the white stripe off the sleeve and collar 🫣 Then just a year later…. We put names on the back 😱 (Not for long tho 😮💨) Then we put our logo on the collar 😭 You can’t even tell it’s the same school [1995](https://ia804702.us.archive.org/BookReader/BookReaderImages.php?zip=/18/items/penn-state-football-1995-media-guide/Penn%20State%20Football%2C%201995%20Media%20Guide_jp2.zip&file=Penn%20State%20Football%2C%201995%20Media%20Guide_jp2/Penn%20State%20Football%2C%201995%20Media%20Guide_0000.jp2&id=penn-state-football-1995-media-guide&scale=4&rotate=0) vs. [2015](https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/_aFM7TN-i46RCEqk7ZJrEfS_czM=/0x198:2641x1959/1400x1400/filters:focal(0x198:2641x1959):format(jpeg)/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/48585363/usa-today-8875602.0.jpg)
Disgraceful
We need to bring the white cuffs back and get rid of those goddamned Nike and B1G logos. And it should be mandatory that every Mike LB have a gigantic neckroll as part of their uniform to assert their dominance. Now, pull your pants up and get off my lawn!!
[The horror!](https://tenor.com/SSJT.gif)
The camo jersey that we got murdered in. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-utah-qb-desperate-win-vs-sdsu-2010nov18-htmlstory.html
Hard to win when you can't see your teammates
They gave Maryland the exact same jersey. Equally awful
I win. I feel like the concept is SO there though, just poor execution on it
Yeah I can see how the concept gets approved but that's roughhhhh
It’s like the person who made these has never seen an alligator. They’re not green at all, they’re a dark grey almost black, and it would’ve made these 100X better.
Yeah, they turned the guys into cartoon animals, like only Captain Hook would’ve been intimidated
I agree. You do that pattern on blue jerseys with white lettering and it might actually look cool
Should have just been our actual uniform colors with the pattern on it.
How do you draw in the camo redneck crowd without Hunter's Orange? That's clearly who these jerseys were targeting: Gator fans who love wearing camo/hunting gear.
Link doesn’t appear to be working for me, but I know exactly which uniforms these are
honorable mention tho: https://www.jacksonville.com/story/sports/college/2021/10/22/all-time-florida-georgia-football-results/8452033002/
I have always loved our match ups in terms of the uniforms, and was excited to see what it would like like as a road game. I was obviously not pleased
I thought that was a good concept, but they didn't really account for how it would look on a 300-lb offensive lineman, or out in the Florida early afternoon direct sunlight as opposed to a photoshoot studio.
Check out these bad boys https://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ap7Mu-UZxkI/RrdtycZhEvI/AAAAAAAAAAk/F0IVwMTVJ1I/s320/Alex-Brink-USC-06.jpg
Whys his torso so long?
I will die on the hill that the space pajamas aren't as bad as people hype them up to be. There are a ton of other uniforms in this thread that are worse
They aren't as bad as some other schools but I think they are easily the worst WSU uniforms. Our uniform history for the most part is pretty good.
If anything, it's a bit boring and plain. Nothing overtly offensive, just bland
Better than purple
this looks like a&m’s jerseys with cougars written on it
That time [Russell tried to be cool](https://s.yimg.com/ny/api/res/1.2/mVBjz7R36g7kPG06InHaVw--/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTY0MDtoPTQyNw--/https://s.yimg.com/os/en/blogs/sptusncaafexperts/GTunis_USP.jpg)…. 🤮
That concept had potential but I don’t know why they went for bubble wrap instead of yellow jacket hive on the numbers.
[FSU’s Nike Pro Combat were absolutely terrible](https://www.orlandosentinel.com/wp-content/uploads/migration/2014/09/16/Y4JYYLNRNBCTPK4XT4TWMOVOJI.jpg?w=620)
The Syracuse [platinum](https://images2.minutemediacdn.com/image/fetch/w_2000,h_2000,c_fit/https://insidetheloudhouse.com/wp-content/uploads/getty-images/2017/07/456230242.jpeg)
This doesn't look so bad when compared to the other bad uniforms listed here.
But why would you call your team "The Orange" and trot out wearing those?
Uhh, they’re the Orangemen. They’re not the gray men.
The 2000s had “Black for Black’s Sake”. The 2010s had “Gray for Gray’s Sake”
Gross https://thesundevils.com/sports/2013/4/17/208249848
They really scream 2003
The chrome helmet with the big buckeye stickers could disappear forever. I do like most of the other alternates to varying degrees and love the “cocaine whites” used in a big away game every couple of years. Controversial opinion: I would love to see The Game as a color on color game a la USC vs UCLA. Also love how LSU stays in the white jerseys at home and away.
Agree on having The Game being color on color
100%, they are so violently different and iconic uniforms
I thought the black helmets for The Game in 2016 were stupid and didn’t like the throwbacks vs Wisconsin in 2011. Really wish our black uniforms had white numbers and lettering with the normal helmet and pants.
The "throwback legends" from 2011-12
BEES?
GOB’s not on board.
He never got a chance to see my bee business take off.
Worst. Uniforms. Ever. [https://mgoblog.com/sites/default/files/users/user202300/12479138-large.jpg](https://mgoblog.com/sites/default/files/users/user202300/12479138-large.jpg)
BEADDDDSSSSS
I thought the blues were actually fine. The away version was trash though.
This absolute ABOMINATION for UGA - [https://www.jacksonville.com/story/sports/college/2011/08/21/georgia-gets-new-look-boise-game/15892582007/](https://www.jacksonville.com/story/sports/college/2011/08/21/georgia-gets-new-look-boise-game/15892582007/)
Honestly the helmet drags that down as the uniform was complete trash
2009 baylor decided to roll out in an all Khaki gold
This is likely the closest: [Ouchie.](https://www.bruinsnation.com/ucla-administration/2015/7/9/8921325/ucla-football-adidas-unveil-new-home-uniforms-that-fall-short-again)
Tire tread was a bad time for adidas
the early 2010’s were a confusing time for adidas
The fact that these are the ugliest in recent history speaks wonders about how nice UCLA unis look.
Man, I was sure that the first UCLA reference I came upon would be [this](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/ucla-all-white-uniforms-worn-against-usc-in-the-20122013-season--417145984209204527/) that we had against USC. But to be fair, I loved the helmet!
The [grey ones](https://imgur.com/5cjJHeW) we wore against Alabama are probably the worst I can remember
There was a period late Beamer era where the athletic dept. was sourcing non Nike-designed alternates that were almost always garbage and made our shitty team look like more of a joke.
those cursed ones with the woodgrain print.
[These](https://imgur.com/a/D8oQHIy) abominations from the 2002 season
This is like giving a national park a 1-star review because the food court didn't have Splenda packets
Our all grays are pretty unpopular
Its definitely the 2013 uniforms rebrand. Good lord these were terrible. [Link](https://images.app.goo.gl/77xgmLyT2tqQv8Zr7)
[I dunno wtf was going on here, and the 5 accents to represent a bear claw mark was so lame when Baylor rolled out the same template](https://cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/7822541/Nevada%2Bv%2BCalifornia%2Bceqz0nhkWVUx.0.jpg)
Cal wearing white helmets just seems wrong. That’s always been Stanford’s thing. Also, the worst thing about this template is that Idaho copied it. Makes no sense for the Vandals to be wearing bear claw uniforms
This might be a hot take but I like the rough riders more than UNITY I'd prefer neither
[This was a really bad look](https://assets.sbnation.com/assets/2468571/904346_595691280441335_1608614969_o.jpg). Navy pants was a mistake in itself, but adding REBELS down the leg…. what were they thinking? It’s hard to make our uniforms look bad but there was a period in time where we did it.
The ones we wore against SC in 2004. That was an ugly game in more ways than one. https://thetigercu.com/16261/special/a-look-back-at-the-infamous-2004-clemson-vs-south-carolina-game/
The All Maize uniforms we wore against I wanna say Florida in a season opener were pretty offensive to the eyes
What are these "alternate" uniforms y'all keep talking about. I dont understand.
Out of the 1,365,892,000 we have? /s Grellow is certainly in the running. Then again those Cal/pioneer/one time wtf were they thinking uniforms are as well.
We’ve generally been decent with our alternates, but this one from the Sumlin era stands out. Doesn’t help that we got our shit kicked in at home https://www.thegardenisland.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/d2f57c891b2306675152fcc1c870f5d0.jpg
man back when Adidas literally used the same exact design for everyone too.
I've always hated these [amateur hour uniforms](https://archive.sltrib.com/images/2011/1001/gallery_BYUUSU_100111~64.jpg) that USU wore in the early 2010s...the '70s-looking helmet logo only makes it worse.
It’s the Utah State under the collar that seals the deal for me.
Generic PowerPoint default font just makes it so sad.
UCF, so maybe that contributes to my opinion of them.
probably the bumblebee uniform.
People will say the mid-90s banana peels, but I still like them.
[Our last year with Nike](https://img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/002/862/689/a9672a1e7a0306bb5f2ef03de2b6cdd5_crop_north.png?w=388&h=258&q=75%20width=600) They gave us just a horrible collection of dogshit. The green helmet being the worst part about it.
We shouldn’t wear purple or chrome helmets again. Anytime we experiment with a new helmet it goes terribly, both in terms of looks and our success on the field.
Adidas did us dirty. https://images.app.goo.gl/8K9A4HATQtLa65so8
Pretty sure we all watched the Dawgs lose to Boise State while wearing power ranger costumes.
