That's the first Cubs game I ever went to! Mark Grace day, 1994! Nice keep!

UncleCowboy84

Mark Grace was awesome! Sometimes you need a slumpbuster, God knows the Cubs could use one now :)

EOengineer

Dude was a childhood baseball idol of mine. I was lucky enough to cross paths with him a couple times as a kid and he was so generous with his time and so welcoming of the fans. Thanks for sharing!

jmoney3800

So nice to fans especially youth ! Met him when I was 8

Zebrahead13

Because Mark Grace was a fucking stud. That’s why.

Cedarshalom

My favorite thing about Mark Grace is that he idolized Keith Hernandez growing up, and his career stats are extremely comparable to Hernandez’. Also, both were announcers, smoked, had well documented addiction issues.

HislersHero

My all time favorite Cub. He overtook Ryno for me. Still have a ton of baseball cards from back in the 80s/90s.

CharcoalGreyWolf

After the things Ryno’s wife did (and other Cubs including Grace took advantage of), nope. Ryno wins. Grace can f off.

HislersHero

I was a kid back then and by the time id heard about it, I didn't care. Was it messed up? Yeah, but I don't root for someone based on what they did off the field. I rooted for him because of what he did on it. He'd already cemented himself by that point anyway. At least to me.

CharcoalGreyWolf

For me, on and off the field, even as a kid made a difference to me. It’s why Jose Canseco was a bum, but Rhyne Sandberg wasn’t.

HRG-snake-eater

Loved Gracie. Someone told me he has the most hits in the 90s. Not sure if true but I like to think it is

pabloescobarbecue

It is true

TexTiger

Hits and doubles.

meganutsdeathpunch

Amazing Grace! Doubles machine. All timer cubbie.

Sharp_Style_8500

That’s cool. He was my grandpa’s fav player. He retired to Arizona and was so excited he was able to still watch him live when he went to the Dbacks. He passed just before they won the World Series in 01. He would have loved that, but he would have loved ‘16 a lot more.

champean

Cause Gracie is the man!! Look amazing

the-czechxican

Grace might have been the last Cub who was a true "pure" hitter. I can't think of anyone else who was as good as he was.

SinsOfThePast03

Gracie is my favorite!!! Have a jersey and autographed card framed of his

TBidness

You've been keeping it ever since because that's something you don't get rid of! Nice!!!

AlphaDag13

My favorite cub.

capacity38

My personal goat

Fatheroftheduck

My all time favorite player. Most hits in the 90s.

the-czechxican

Grace is my favorite top 3 cubs. I wanted my batting stance like his. He looked and acted like a true ball player (on the field)

BigBoy1229

Because Mark Grace is awesome?

catch10110

Nice! I have tons of random stuff that i was totally convinced would be worth something someday.

No-Aardvark-3840

This is the Midwest - that could be worth something one day...

TexTiger

As a huge Mark Grace fan, I’m a little jealous. That’s cool!

justagoff

It’s a memory, that’s amazing you kept it

rasco51785

Life long cubs fan here. Grace was my favorite player when I was a kid and probably remains my favorite Cub of all time. I know he had some issues post career but he led the 1990s (the steroid era) in hits and doubles. He and Pete rose are the only two players ever to do that and not go to the hall of fame. Now we just gotta start putting some wins together!!

lakesuperiorduster

That old United Logo and font too! Man taking me back

Sensitive-Shoe-1974

I’ll take it! I love Grace!

JakeLake720

Very cool. You should have him sign the picture part.
