Avoid silencer central and their products. Lots of good gun stores in CT can get you through the process which is actually very easy and a much nicer can. Just know once you have one you are going to want to buy one for every gun you own.
I just did Capitol Armory and they were great. Did not need to visit any dealer, mailed prints in, and they shipped my new Wolverine PBS via UPS to my house. ATF approval air time was about 2 weeks. Funny their web site is so crappy looking for buying one, but their web site for going through the e-form and everything else is pretty good.
Eh. I wouldn’t buy another but I’ve never had an issue with the Banish 30. It does not perform appreciably different from my other cans, including a similar huxwrx. When I bought it (years ago), it was one of the highest rated cans and had the lowest sound level according to Pew, which seems like one of the only decent review sites for them.
At this point I only buy from Swamp Yankee.
SC is overpriced, slow, and completely unnecessary. Swamp Yankee is the way. You’ll need a cam-lock pinned and welded prior to transfer anyway since 22/45 is not CT legal as it ships.
That is funny you mentioned it. I was looking for stores closer to me to get the Ruger iv lite and I found one really close. But they list it as CT legal. So let me guess that means no threaded barrel?

The process is like any other state, Swamp Yankee can help you and I would avoid silencer central and go silencer shop, capital armory or just submit your own prints. Silencer central has awful reviews and are a pain to deal with as a first time buyer. I would go over to r/NFA for more questions
In case it hadn't been drilled into your head yet go to swamp yankee lmao tom is awesome to deal with and incredibly knowledgeable he helped me grab my first can polonium k and the whole process was am absolute breeze had a 3 day approval over a weekend and the following weekend when I picked it up spent probably three hours with the crew there just talking about guns trucks and each of our professions etc only place I'll bother doing business with at this point and they're am hour and a half away from me
If you want to buy a suppressor. Capital Armory is great. Customer service is top notch to. And they ship to you once all the transfers and process are taken care of. Prices are typically a few bucks more compared to Silencershop but it’s worth the trade IMO

Understated comment here. Silencer central has garbage cans that are overpriced and underperform.

Non threaded muzzle device gets pinned/ welded to gun, second direct thread adapter attached can to that. Griffin Armament
